I bought this tape in 87 and been amazed by this track ever since!!! Dj Jazzy Jeff absolutely MURDERS this set!! He goes the hardest from 3:17-4:23 the transformer scratch he does @ 3:40 then again @ 4:04 was unheard of in 1986!! It sounds like he is scratching both decks at same time from 4:45-4:54...Crazy! All this with 2 turntables and a mixer NO technology 100% skills!
I want to give everyone a history lesson there is a tape with dh cash mo ney in 85 doing that same transformer live remember him and Jeff were a dj group at the time called twins of spin and jeff copied his style from cash so dj cash money has always been overshadowed by jeff but jazzy learned his style from cash he even taught jeff the rock the bells breakdown on one turntable which jeff does at a lot of his shows but credit to jeff for introducing to the world what philly djs were doing
DJ Jazzy Jeff was ahead of his time in his craft, 25 plus years later he still is the man at venues all over the world. and musicians and rappers come to him for beats.
What he does with 'Just Buggin" is UNBELIEVABLE. And to be doing this in 1986 when scratching had only been around for a few years makes it even more incredible! Jazzy and Cash Money - the greatest!
@ 0:30 that Brooklyn crowd had NO IDEA what they were in for. Fresh Prince rocked that routine perfectly and Jazzy Jeff absolutely DeSTroYeD the wheels. This routine changed the DJ game forever.

3:40 and the world was never the same again.
IMO this is one of the best hip hop albums ever
Jazzy Jeff was way ahead of the competition mixing and spinning. Here in 2020 he is still one of the best beat master rappers go to.

I love hearing the recorded radio versions of this with the static over it. Gives it that authentic dirty hip hop sound from that era. Salute.
The way he pays his respects to the people that inspired him.Jeff is second to none.
