Great, now could the FIA and SRO come together and make the IGTC into something. I think it being a FIA World tour would increase manufacturer involvement and we need something since GTE Pro is no more and there's no space for a Pro GT3 grid in the WEC.
El TCR es un concepto espectacular. Puedes correr en la serie de tu país con un TCR y correr el Word Tour con el mismo auto. Y lleva muy poco mantenimiento
…TCR has always been waiting in the wings… like the bridesmaid holding the brides bouquet… WRC Rally is ditching the hybrid… i personally am not sure that TCR is the way to go for the top tier of touring car racing… however the world of cars is changing rapidly, not all manufacturers have svelt sporty cars, be it a saloon or hatchback, in their range any longer…the massive SUV craze makes for very very big racing cars 😢 I do hope to be proven wrong… the big problem with most ‘manufacturer’ supported racing class is the financial race to the top… which then makes it too expensive for privateers when the manufacturers pull out at a later date citing costs as the reason they are leaving.
Thankfully the BTCC has dropped hybrid cars. Hopefully the reductions in costs will help to get more teams back onto the grid and the "push to pass" overtaking gimmick is now gone.
The new version of the Marrakesh circuit is only 3km. I preferred the old 4.6km layout even though it was just essentially straights separated by chicanes with a long left at one end and a tight left at the other. This version was introduced for Formula E if I remember correctly and the WTCC raced on it as well. But it seems very short, even for touring cars, for a circuit with that many corners.
Its a shame people discriminate these little cars. Everyone only like LMDH and LeMans cars but those cars you can never buy. While These cars are closer to production cars which makes them interesting.
FIA publishing a video with a Race Director that has already left for a different series is PEAK FIA. The most dysfunctional and obtuse governing body in sport. And that is something.
Please get more brands and teams involved! Bring the new Peugeot and GRM from Down Under, bring the Toyota from Argentina, what about a new car manufacturer? Been too long!
What about bringing back late 90's super touring car instead? There is more, what about early 90's DTM? But, what about 80's European touring championship? Wait, there is more, what about saloon car racing of 70's? So nostalgic right.

Dear Lotti, please ditch the hybrid TCR plan before it's too late

I hope this helps everyone involved

Exciting stuff!
need 1 endurance race in the world tour - hello bathurst :)
The should do a few rounds with WEC. WEC need more on the timetable for fans. Excluding LM, not a lot happens over a WEC weekend..
Why is the FIA social team 6 months late in publishing this video? What am I missing?
Untill you guys get Alfa Romeo back in Im not interested.

There's no discrimination, main issue with touring cars is that every championship use it's own rules, TCR came a bit too late.
So essentially the Super Trofeo format?
Cool, now get more manufacturers involved
As long as the cars are not hybrid electric or SUV everything is fine
Hold my beer! Both are probably coming. give me v8 supercars over this any day of the week!
You mean American sports coupes that are not in production @KenOath1234

Bring back WTCC not this
You obviously don't understand the global market of motorsport. The wtcc died on its arse for a reason.
@samuelgarrod8327 wtcc and wtcr both died because of stupid Eurosport management
I hate eurosport coverage. They rarely show WEC races in full. Sometimes, don't show them at all.
@@goncaloferreira72 at least there is a paid service by wec

A1 ressurection when ?
Imagine spending millions on sponsoring a racing series only to get your company name misspelled consequently... > Khumo
Nobody cares. Bring back a modern form of Group A.
Hypercar is faster and better than Group A ever was. Many don’t want to live in the past.
@@digitalmaxism What does Hypercar have to do with touring cars?
