@@rickyal9810 I highly doubt that's the case, especially when the last election for Governor took several days to tally up. @@MNMMOMMA2 Just to be clear, this was allowed to happen on Ducey's watch. Hobbs is the one who brought it to light and has, hopefully, put a stop to it. If I am correct you are insinuating supposed election fraud has helped stop the Saudis stealing our water?
It sounds like someone cashed in on this project! They'll allow this kind of stuff to happen, but watch how fast they cut off the water at a residence, if you're late paying a bill! Several years ago, Buckeye had faulty meters installed in newer subdivisions, which suddenly cost many families anywhere from several hundreds of dollars per month, to several thousands, even though they didn't use it! Those people were told that because their meter shows they "used" that amount, they either pay it, or it's cut off, end of story!
It's not the Saudis fault. It's the people in your agricultural department for the state of Arizona who rented the land. Arizona need to clean up the department and fire whomever rented the land and did they get a kick back.
How in the world was this ALLOWED TO HAPPEN? Get to the bottom of it. Don't rest until Arizona finds out who sold it out to FOREIGNERS - Saudi or China. Good job on the audit!
It's already well documented. Back when the contracts were handed out, the government was benefiting from these handout deals with Saudis. The real question is why the government has not revoked every single below rate water draining deal.
It's easy. The average person is occupied by their daily lives as politicians have full time jobs for self enrichment. I'm watching the same thing happen in my town between the city council, the mayor and a casino operator who has destroyed hundreds of low income housing units, grifts tens of millions in "improvements", and has bought city owned property for pennies on the dollar. He's violated every agreement with the city and even today is asking for and will receive even more. I guess it's OK as our Mayors "best friend" works for the developer and when the mayor terms out, will go and work for the casino with the "best friend" replacing her as Mayor.
This has been a topic republicans kept avoiding glad Katie Hobbs finally calling it out. Look into it, this is one of the things Katie ran on. Keeping AZ water in AZ.
This is all on Ducey. Its more likely he got some kickbacks from the Saudis. I'm a Republican but I never liked the guy. He always seemed shady to me. And this really looks bad for him.
Sure now Gilbert just raised our water rates. They said that they’re broke and needed more of our money. They tried to raise our property taxes too but we voted no. I’m sure they’ll find another way to stick it to us while they take all of our money.
Sad that you don’t want to pay your taxes. No wonder Gilbert has a Juvenile delinquency problem - no infrastructure to let the youth relax in a safe environment.
Something needs to be made clear here, Doug Ducey's administration is not when this started to happen. The report says this started happening 17 years ago for a failure to adjust rates, this would have been Janet Napolitano's administration, a democrat. The other thing to keep in mind is that it does not say is how and when this land and water deal even occurred in the first place.
0:13 they will give Saudi Arabian free water and cheap but the bureau of Indian affairs literally steals the land from my grandfather's allotment. I want to know who's being paid off. Put them in a penitentiary check bank accounts a public officials
They need to disclose who were involved and agreed to these agreements....then fine these individuals who failed to do their job..surely they have been very well compensated by the Saudis under the table so they will have the funds to repay..
When there are wrongs in the country…blame the republicans 😂 yeah, republicans let in all the 7 million illegals too. Isn’t Arizona a democratic state? When the news doesn’t blame the republicans that means the democrats did it.
This is poor oversight. Needs to be changed. Why is education being singled out as loser? Why not fire protection? Why not water preservation. This muddies the issue,,, state oversight is obviously lacking, but tell me the issue.
How can it be ducy's fault when the department failed for 17 years to raise the rent prices you guys place the blame without even looking into the situation for the years.
Who got the kickbacks?
Ducey I'd wager. Bet some campaign contributions were his rewards.
Funny.. I didn't hear Doug Ducey's name mentioned a single time?
We need to start holding our public officials accountable checking their bank accounts for bribes. And if we find bribes put them in a penitentiary
Doug Ducey did this?
Yup
He had to have gotten a kick back. It’s what Saudi gov does. Ducey needs to be investigated!
Not to mention AZ is a DESERT!!!!!!!
Unbelievable this is what I’m talking about politicians doing what benefits them not the community!
Katie Hobbs stopping it Republicans we’re the ones who allowed it. They didn’t even get nothing in return. They got ripped off.
We're letting other countries strip our resources for nearly free because why exactly???
Cause we keep voting for it.
Because somebody made some money off of it. But not the people who should have.

This… 😡 Unreal!
Whoever authorized this should be fired this is crazy
Not only should they be fired but their bank accounts need to be checked for bribes. And then put in prison for betraying the American people
let’s go protest outside Fondomonte Arizona LLC in Arizona
Why would you protest them? Somebody had to give them free water, they didn’t steal it.
Wonder who got paid off to allow this.
This started 17 years ago?? Shouldn't we look at who was Gov at that time?? 🤔 This is terrible..
Who was in charge of this deal? They should be investigated.
Doug Ducey
Follow the money I guarantee they were bribes taken
And the farmers are hurting for water because of this mistake from the state government
Because they shipped there crops over seas, years of money have been lost by the state of Arizona, because of the state government

China already bought most of organ and Washington state.
