And it's way harder to draw an expression in a realistic style from scratch without reference than it is to draw it in anime style.

I mean it's one of the greatest and most iconic, I could go on for hours about the great written plat, amazing animation, greatly written characters like even the villains are amazingly written. The soundtrack is awesome, how the show can be both dark at times and hilarious at other times. And the fights themselves, 10/10 The story builds up so well. It's crazy how good the characters are written, but it's even crazier how good they develop. All the main characters change, learn, grow, make mistakes, have their share of victories and no one feels 1 dimensional. Even characters with seemingly a single descriptor for a name actually convey nuanced and rich personalities. And not to mention The visuals. It's a great anime, and like I said it doesn't have to be your favorite (My personal favorite is Fairy Tail, but it was my first anime so I might be biased for that.) but how can you not even like it?

A video from 2017, insipred me today in 2021. I'm an amateur artist and i had, and still having a real tough time with my art teachers too because of me liking anime (anxiety lol). The social pressure is real, even when its indirect. I will (if i don't get corona and just freaking die) hold what im passionate about close to my heart, and keep trying to improve at what i find inspiration in. Hopefully one day, maybe i reach my goal and come to the point where i can be the light to others as well. I would so love to do that. I had a elementary school art teacher in 5th grade she was literally like in her 40’s and she actually loved the anime art style and along with literally every other art style. Let’s just say that she was a good one and took art with culture.
I had these weeb art teacher and holy moly he became my favourite teacher in the span of 1 lesson. He taught us how to draw manga, and anime stuff and that literally sparked my new found love of drawing anime! He was also very supportive of my stuff he was so laid back.

I had these weeb art teacher and holy moly he became my favourite teacher in the span of 1 lesson. He taught us how to draw manga, and anime stuff and that literally sparked my new found love of drawing anime! He was also very supportive of my stuff he was so laid back.

Coming back to this video almost six years later SOLELY to say that you mentioning One Piece was the first time I'd ever heard of it and probably what led me to click on the first episode when I found it on funimation.
