6:20 If I remember correctly, in the movie, each hatch remains open only for a limited amount of time before closing. At that moment in the movie, Quentin was the last to go through the trapped room, and right before reaching the exit, the hatch started closing.
Everyone froze in terror (including Quentin), because closing hatches were always very loud. But when the hatch closed silently, everyone sighted in relief. But Kazan was a bit too happy and his voice ignited the trap.

Kazan in this movie is a very stereotypical depiction of an "autistic genius". When you know people who are on the spectrum in real life, you realise it's nothing like what's depicted in the movies. Most of the time, they're just people.

Nowadays... and in their ironic bigotry of double- and tripple standarts, no movieteam would dare to portray a "bulakk" person as a bad guy anymore. 😏
I miss the times when movies were about the plot, did not had identity politics within them and you were truly going into the unknown everytime.
