I have the AFUL p8’s The Kiwi ears Orchestra lites The kiwi ears Quartet The simgot EM6L And now these beauties! IMO they have the best tuning of all the iems I own. The P8’s are more detailed and better resolution, but only in the air region. I’d choose the MS2 any day. Great vid cheers

This has been my daily for the last 2 years now and i honestly have near zero complain about it From the carrying case (the best part beside the iem themselves lol) to the sound, the fitment, bass, mid, treble, soundstage, ect... But sadly i abused it quite a bit and the resin are starting to chips. So i gotta ask for your advice since you share a lot of my opinions and fondness for the MS2, is there a current offer that is a "better MS2" as a whole in this price range of under 200 (it can be more ofc, but it being afforable just sweeten the deal), or am i better off just go and get myself another one? I had the chance to try out a truthear zero:red but was not impressed at all, despite hearing good things about it. Thank you :D
These are pretty balanced sounding iems, there’s not much to fault in the tuning. In fact it puts many much more expensive iems to shame in balance and tonality. The only thing differentiate it from expensive iems are the sonic refinement and smoothness. But still, a bargain.

@@denisbasshead7787, it has more gain in midrange (vocals). Tha bass is more flat but at sufficient intensity. And the highs are not aggressive to the ears. In short, the Hidizs MS2 Mermaid is a earphone with midrange reinforcement. Ideal for enhancing singers' voices and with excellent transparency.

There's one brand on AliExpress that does colourful cables but I can't recall the name at the moment. You might have some luck by searching around on there. Beat Audio does a nice red cable called the Vermillion MKII but that's a bout 4x the cost of the earphones.

I've just good the MS2. Genres I listen to is electronic, experimental, rock, synthpop, ambient, r&b mostly. The ms2 has enough bass to make it sound fun without overpowering the mids. Vocals are so good and upfront! I'm very satisfied.
NM2+ is more cohesive and has better bass detail. Treble is more precise too, albeit somewhat brighter. It makes sense since NM2+ is much more expensive but the MS2 is not all that far behind. It's a great budget IEM.
I'm actually looking for an upgrade from the KZ ZSN PRO X, the first IEM I had ever used. Under 100$, is this worth the upgrade? I havr heard good things about the aria too. I usually listen to metal, but hop through genres on a regular basis, and not looking for something extremely analytical. Just need something that can justify the money spent on an upgrade, because I read the pro x cover almost all the models upto 100 usd, and everything else is just a marginal difference, and that the next tier should be 100+. Some advice please?
Both the MS2 and Aria are huge upgrades over the ZSN Pro X. It's definitely worth getting one of them and the idea that you should go straight from ZSN Pro X to 100+ is crazy.

Normally, for an EDC (Everyday Carry) I would probably still choose the IT00. However, since many people have reported the same driver flex issue as me, I no longer recommend it. With that in mind, I rec the MS2.
Another great video.. I have severe hearing loss and need expanded and LOUD mids and highs. Need something easily driven by a LG V60 with its own DAC. And I'm wondering if the MS2 will be a good fit for me. I'm also looking at the Etymotic ER2XR IEMS.
No. If you do not like the tonality out of the box then burn in will not help in the slightest. What might help is some tip rolling and getting a better seal. But maybe you're treble sensitive or just prefer a warmer tonality.
It00 is a bit wooly compared to the others. If you want a precise, somewhat brighter treble and clarity get the MS2. If you want a smooth treble get Aria.

It sounds quite good for female vocals, specially with orchestral backing such as Fujiwara Hajime's _Arakane no Utsuwa._ It suits my preference better than Kylin HE01, Aria 2021, and even Aria SE (of which I like very much). Also, it synergize well with cheap JM10 Pro dongle. I got this one for 50 bucks or so, and it feels like a steal. Too bad I failed to get my desired color choice (purple) due to lack of stock. But, well, black isn't bad either.
Recently I've bought Hidizs MS1 after watched your review on your video on it. It has really good bass. I do love it. But for the upper mid and lower treble often sound shouty and sibilance for me. But what makes me kinda disappointed with MS1 is the technicalities. It sounds congested when many instruments are played. I hope I will get better experience with the MS2
Better or not will depend on personal preference. I think the MS2 can go toe to toe with both the IT00 and Aria. It has more clarity than the others. Less bass than IT00 but better resolution and detail retrieval.

your review is actually very good in terms of technical knowledge, you really know your stuff, wide library of reference even compared to famous audiophile youtuber. i think the reason why your videos are hit and miss in terms of viewer maybe you need to put more gimmick or something that make your video more interested. im really looking forward for your channel to turn even bigger, i mean you review alot of hidden gem or the not so hyped iem which really hard to find a proper review
@@goldeneagle8259 at some point I've just realized that I would never be satisfied with hybrid's unnatural timbre/tonality, that BAs and DD just don't get along like oil and water. From that moment I prefer DD models only. The rest is up to you.
MS2 is a worthy upgrade or alternative if you want something with a bit more warmth and bass presence. I think the Heart Mirror and MS2 would compliment each other really nicely.

They're both great - it depends what kind of sound you prefer. HE01 has more bass, warmer midrange and smoother treble. MS2 has more treble energy and detail retrieval.

Zero Red is all hype with no bite. I think you might like the Simgot EA500 or Letshuoer S12.

From what you're saying, I think the MS2 would suit you better. It has a more upfront presentation and slightly better detail retrieval.

The SE215 Pro is a lot smoother albeit with less micro details. But if you're doing long recording sessions the MS2 treble might be fatiguing.

They're both very close but the MS2 has a slight advantage in resolution and instrument separation.

No. If you do not like the tonality out of the box then burn in will not help in the slightest. What might help is some tip rolling and getting a better seal.

MS2 is the most comfortable for my ears but FH3 is close. Most bass = 1) FH3, 2) MS2, 3) IT01s.
