You'd have fun with Arabian spec FJs. They had optional rear fuel tanks, grab handles built into thr back of the front seats, optional remote touch controler in the cubby behind the gear shifter that controls the head unit, updated guage cluster, optional air compressir in the cargo area, rear axle reinforcement.
you are correct dash display is after market , Canadian model has km/hr at top ,mph below. and tow package , roof rack , lights on mirrors are common in Canada but this one as you said is the most basic model missing lots of extras, good video and research.
I have a 6MT Canadian base mode. No pilot light on the mirrors, no roof rack and no power mirrors. So, that green truck you show is correct, except for the gauge cluster.
Always liked those FJ Cruisers. That one sure has a good bit of rust underneath, but looks plenty salvageable. Might have to pick one up some day to play with.
on point #1 back in 2023 I was about to pull the trigger on a 2022 4Runner, but I did NOT, as I found another one from via AutoTrader for that same reason, and most importantly that I wanted to import to Saudi Arabia where I live, and we go by metric system. and on point #2 as you might know FJ Cruiser were sold in the middle East until 2023 and we did have some of the trims without lights in the mirrors.
My U.S. 2014 FJ didn’t have the tow package, it was extra and I did it myself. It also had the updated taillights like the one in the video. All FJ Cruisers received the newer light after 2012 or 13. Correct me if I’m wrong.
I don't know about the Cruiser, but the digital display for the climate control on my 2019 Canadian 4Runner Limited is in Celsius, not Fahrenheit......and cannot be changed! 😤
Hello,I've got some rear end noise whining when I get to around 60 km..I've heard its normal 🤔 Whats your take on this bud? Its not really loud but its there..Excellent channel
@@VikingsGarage Oh I can hear it in the diff, had it on the hoist with a stethoscope.. It only has 85,000 km a baby, There's a bulletin to dampen the sound with insulating pads and some kind of fram mont bushings .So if its just normal diff truck noise as The Car Care Nut Guy says ,Then I'll just live with. Have you come across anything like this? Opinion Appreciated... Vikings Rule👍
@simbadhasanovic5350 It is indeed a normal thing, a characteristic of our differentials actually. You learn to just accept it. They all sound the same.
Hey bud, just wondering I've heard its a good idea to put 75/140 in my rear diff especially for towing..Whats your opinion on that? 2015 4runner SR5 THANKS Pal ,Vikings Rule👍

All of this is music to my ears, I would love it.
I appreciate you sharing that and taking the time to watch!! 🙏🏻

I appreciate your clarification, I’ve worked on many FJ’s this one had me scratching my head. 😅

Awesome, thank you for confirming. 😅👊🏻

I’ve been enjoying mine, but rust is a problem to look to avoid.
Just got a 2014 FJ and found your channel. Very useful information in your videos. Subscribed!
Much appreciated!!🙏🏻
Congratulations on your new FJ!
Another fantastic video! I've been watching since the beginning. Great channel!
Your support is much appreciated!! 🙏🏻
Thank you!!

I knew they sold there until recently, not so sure about all of the trims.
I appreciate you sharing!
Hell yeah metal intro!
🤘🏻
Looking forward to the next video. What OEM parts should I purchase now for my 2014 FJ Cruiser that will be hard to find in later years?
Whatever accessories are still left and some interior miscellaneous. Toyota has started to discontinue a lot of stuff. 😒

2010 through 2014 actually on the newer taillights.
That tow package is a much, fun to install. 👊🏻
Very interesting, very!
😅
The Owner needs to get that frame looked after so they are not wasting $10,000 dollars.
He was properly advised. And yes I do agree 👍🏻
The 5th gen 4runners in canada 2020+ have the limited hvac buttons on trd models and up
Interesting stuff, I appreciate you sharing!! 👍🏻
I thought I heard or read somewhere that Australian FJs cannot have the mirror lights. I might be wrong or misunderstood though, it has been awhile.
Honestly, I can see that. It’s such a weird feature, specially when you consider how dim those things are. 😅

I appreciate you sharing that, I didn’t know.

It could be a number of things (differential/tires/wheel bearing/brakes)
Impossible to diagnose it this way
I do appreciate your support!

@@VikingsGarage Thats what I want to here..Thanks man your the best..
Can you tell me why and I was wondering about that true start battery is that a Toyota oem and how does it compare to the aftermarket brands.
It is a Toyota approved and provided by your Toyota parts department battery.

THANKS Pal ,Vikings Rule👍
I think sticking to the factory specs is ideal, 75/140 is a bit overkill in my opinion.
I appreciate your support!
@@VikingsGarage your probably right..I was just thinking for towing purposes..
Thanks bud
Hello! Is the TIS, a service tech site or is this open to the public?
For a fee it’s available to the public.
