The key his singing on is so extreme for a male singer.. He's got real chops right there!
***** I'm not really good in music stuffs but if he's singing on his chest voice in that range then its too high for a male chest voice.. I'm not really sure if he's singing in chest voice though..
Check out caleb hyles' cover of chandelier. i think he's a baritone but with good technique
Kevin is a tenor for sure, not a baritone. His timbre and facility in the upper register makes that a given. He does bring his chest voice quite a ways up, into F/G4, but it's also quite apparent he's using a mix of both chest and head, which is the right way to do it without damaging the vocal apparatus. He does tend to force though, which is not healthy. His "Chandelier" performance showed great technique, great passagio work, great use of pure head voice, etc. So much more pleasant than the forced sound.
Adam Efimoff He's forcing, and that's the problem. As my favourite opera singer Sondra Radvanovsky often says, "never louder than lovely". Just use what God gave you, and sing within the abilities of the instrument He gave you, and don't force, or sing higher/lower than is comfortable.
I don't know, AC/DC is a fine example of belting out a tune loud, as is Jimmy Barnes/ Cold Chisel. Both have sold millions and millions of albums and singles. I think this guy has a huge carer ahead of him
This was probably the best cover of this song I've ever seen since Linkin Park's Chester Bennington's performance. So glad he won, what an incredible voice!!

He never ceases to leave my mouth hanging open. He is, without a doubt, a force to be reckoned with in this competition. He did an outstanding job! With those notes he hit, he is for sure a finalist in the competition. If he ain't then the competitions been rigged. Lol.

I had only heard women and very young teen males sing this. This performance blew me completely away. Coming in after the fact not withstanding, the man deserved to win this. He is incredible. Congratulations Kevin!!!!! I'm looking forward to recordings since I can't travel to where you are!

Tout est super, quelle voix, quelle intention, c'est le meilleur. En plus, il a l'air d'être un super mec sympa. Comme l'on dit les coaches, comment un talent pareil a-t-il pu être totalement étouffé dans un groupe. C'est incroyable de ne pas lui avoir donné sa chance seul bien avant. Encore faut-il que la maison de disques lui donne les moyens réels de percer. Bonne chance pour l'album et surtout que vous veniez en concert en Belgique.

Massively impressed with him throughout. His voice is older and that comes across but to be able to hit some of those notes is incredible. Love this performance. Genuinely hope he wins. Would give the show a chance of actually releasing music by someone who might sell some records.....
