Joost (Yost) at Rhino Adventure Gear in San Marcos, CA just mounted one on my 2dr Badlands. Can't wait to mount my iKamper 3.0 mini on it. Don't have the side racks but maybe a later time. Would probably want to move my Rotopax from the spare tire to there. Thinking to mount the platform w/side panel mounts to my spare tire - like Justin McBride did to his BadSquatch. Total overlanding rig. Thanks!
Hey There, Thanks for reaching out. Generally speaking light bars add some wind noise. We haven't run a light bar cut out on the TrailRax kit in the shop but we have sold a bunch to very happy customers. Cheers, Team Modula
Hi, on their website, they said you can get the pax racks as a standalone. Does this mean it can be installed without the roof rack? It doesn’t seem to be that way given the way the top part looks like it needs to be mounted to the roof top
Trailrax has informed us that the full standalone Bronco Pakrax kits are still in development and will utilize 2 crossbars to mount as shown in the photos on their website, the standalone unit currently for sale is the add-on piece meant for your preexisting TRMR system!
2 cross bars to mount across the hardtop or just on the window? I’m hoping they can figure something out to not go across the top! Thanks for the info!
@@privas8751 That would be nice! I'm not sure if it will be possible, given the construction of the Bronco hard top, but if anyone can pull it off it's them!
Hi There, Yes, you can remove the roof panels with the rack installed! No, I don't believe a cargo box would fit, most modern cargo boxes do not have a flat bottom and would not attach to the rails. Cheers, Team Modula
Does this rack system produce wind noise? I have the factory headliner in my Wildtrak, however, I am concerned about adding anything on the MIC roof because of potential wind noise. Thanks.
Hi There, Thanks for reaching out. The Trailrax Bronco Roof Rack Kit comes with a wind fairing that does help with preventing wind noise. I wouldn't call this rack whisper quiet, they do make some wind noise and depending on the accessories you put on the roof, that can add to the noise generated. From the customers we have put it on, they have not noticed much additional wind noise. With that being said, most customer report the Bronco makes a fair bit of wind noise to begin with! Please let us know if you have any other questions :) Cheers, Team Modula
Any clamp style Ski racks should work just fine with the TrailRax system since the crossbars are about the same size as your average Thule, Rhino rack bars. With that said a T channel type mount would also be compatible with the right hardware for the tracks built into every cross bar on the TRMR system!
Morning gentlemen! I've got the same Rack on my Bronco, but I'd like to know how you installed your awning? I've got an Ironman 4x4 awning from my old Jeep that I want to install on the TRMR Rack. Is there a universal bracket for all awnings, or is it Trailrax specific? How did you mount it? Please and thank you.
Hey There, Thanks for reaching out. On this rack, we actually got a custom bracket fabricated locally. This was before TrailRax came out with an awning bracket, they now make a low profile awning bracket and a standard! Those brackets should allow you to mount your Ironman 4x4 awning with no issues :) Cheers, Team Modula

How much extra wind noise is there with the lightbar cut out if you happen to know?

Can the front two roof panels and the middle panel be removed while the trax rack is on? Can I attach a Thule Ski Carrier box to these rails.

For the roof top tent, did you just clamp it to the cross bars or did you use their tent mount kit accessory? Thanks
We used the same ikamper mounting bracket 3.0 shaun had been running on his previous setup!
Man, I really want to like this rack but that arching wind deflector is truly unfortunate. It doesn't match the straight lines of the bronco.
Can I hang/place the 42L ARB water tank on both sides?
Each Pax Rax side can carry a maximum of 70lbs
what ski racks are compatible with the TrailRax?

Oh you guys cheated using that 1x2 (80/20) extruded aluminum 😂
