- FSU Football under Mike Norvell is heading into the 2024 College Football season with a ton of promise and high expectation. On Late Kick Live Ep 537 Josh Pate offered up his FSU predictions including best, worst, and most likely record scenarios along with team strengths and biggest questions. How will DJU look at QB? Not even considering the run game which should be way better this year. With a better than average run game DJ's performance might not be as critical as most people think.

Nope. 1-6. I have no skin in the game but had to come back and check this out. I'm an Oregon fan so I'm used to almost getting there and then dropping off a bit and having to climb back but never anything like this (that I can remember). Even FSU haters couldn't have realistically seen this coming. 7 games in and already worse than 'worst case scenerio'.
That is a fair take JP. But we have an ace up our sleeve that is being overlooked, best special teams in the country or one of them. This will buy us time to develop our young but very talented receiving core. Hopefully DJ and his NFL arm will come along with the best coaching he’s ever had in his life.

Between the defense and run game we beat most opponents without DJ. If DJ and the receiving core show up and play like we know they can it’s definitely going to be another run at the ACC title and hopefully some great games in the playoffs

All teams have questions about them after turnover. DJ could have a great year just by being on a better team with a better o line. A better coaching staff that can help gifted players have an immediate impact, and lately great players acquired from the portal or recruiting are popping up frequently. There are questions about some units, sort of like the same way it’s been for three years. Pate is analytical about it and obviously puts some thought into it. 10-2 is a playoff spot. I’m guessing 11-1.
Questions at QB and WR. Outside of that, none for me.
If we get the dj from last year he will be fine the running game can win 10 games he just has to be decent

While Dabo was getting roasted this offseason for his baffling stance on the portal, and losing more games year after year, Mike won the Bobby Dodd, Beat Bryant, and FWAA coach of the year awards. Dabo obviously has a superior career, but man it didn’t take long for that shine to start looking like rust.

When mike was going 8-13 and losing to Jacksonville st at doak in his first 2 seasons, they all forgot about that. Go ahead and try to convince me that there wasn’t serious doubt about mike at that point. The same fans are blasting Napier for his first 2 years. Although Napier had a better record in a tougher conference.

This is the year where I promise you, you’re going to see a vast improvement in this team. There were a lot of things Billy had to deal with that Norvell didn’t such as navigating the new NIL era his first year not to mention transfer portal changes. Made it extremely difficult to get the right players. Finally this year Florida will be a team. Everyone doesn’t know it yet. But wait and see. Florida wins at least 7 games this year. If the schedule was easier they would win 10.
