Yeah that's my philosophy. This isn't a day job, it's an existing hobby that I happen to be filming. My ambitions remain modest, and ours is a pretty small niche anyway! 😁

Good video and we’ll done. Noticed you have euphorbia mellifera in the garden. Another dead easy propagation plant from cuttings this time of year. The red persicaria is ‘red dragon’. I’d recommend you look at hakonechloa grasses and aeonium velour as two other potential propagation plants for the exotic garden. Good luck in your venture. 👍
Yeah there are plenty of hoops to jump through, plus taxes to sort out, but I'm happy with a bit of residual income trickling in. I'm not going to earn a packet in this small niche anyway! 😀
How many minutes do you advise the videos should atleast be. So if I have like hundreds of videos each with minimum of 1 minute and maximum of 3 minutes, will my revenue be less? And do u get more if u have more subscribers or not
UA-cam pays per ad view. Videos under 8 minutes long will only show an ad or ads before it. If you make it over 8 minutes, have the option to add another ad in the middle that's why you'll see a lot of videos just over 8 minutes long. Number of subs makes no difference to revenue, only view count. And shorts pay almost nothing.
@@greatnorthernexotic I'm just short of 3000 in last 365 days, iv got over 4500 in total. The hours I will get but I think subscribers will take another year. Then I will lose this year's watch hours and be back at square one.

You did well to get monetized in a year, iv been going nearly 2 years now and I'm still no where near. I just can't get subscribers 😔
How are you for watch hours? 1000 subs I did in ten months but the 4000 watch hours were a slog.
