You absolutely saved my floors with your tips. The handyman didn't put a drop cloth down and my floors were a mess. I got a shoe polishing brush and some cleaning fluid and scrubbed, and it worked when nothing else would! Thanks 1000x
The problem is the drywall joint compound which has the ability to adhere to the surface and in the grain once it's mopped. I have developed a system to actually remove it. It removes nearly all the joint compound. I would not suggest staining and re-coating it.
"The one used in this video is the Bona Power Scrubber. There are similar machines by other manufacturers such as the Basic Coatings Dirt Dragon." - Daniel
"Yes. The floor in this video is actually an engineered wood floor. The key with any type of wood floor is to make sure the machine is vacuuming almost all of the liquid back up off of the floor so that you don’t have standing liquid or puddles on the floor or within in gaps." - Daniel
UA-cam never ceases to amaze me with the oddball tasks people have dedicated the time to make a video to help someone out... exactly what I needed
