I think the engagement ring - Omer’s mother’s ring - is a nod to the western engagement tradition. Omer, supposedly, is not Muslim & so is Defne. But being Turkish they have to do the ring ceremony, esp, Defne’s g/man is expecting it. Unless& Until Oner asked back the ring and/or they had a talk of breaking the engagement, then that other ring stays with Defne.

Because the reason why she didn't give the other ring was because they were not completely separated and there was a possibility of them making up, if she had given the other ring, she would have completely ignored everything. She didn't take off the ring, not the ring worn between families, but the ring Ömer gave her, because it was more important and she believed there was another chance. It has nothing to do with any traditional situation.
@@user-pk2cc6cf9g I don't really think she thought there was another chance (or that the writers wanted us to think she assumed that either). She talked about what job she was going to have to get there. She talked about not knowing if she wanted to ever go back home. I can't explain why she kept the ring, but to me it didn't seem like she thought there was another chance. She told her grandmother that the engagement was off. She didn't say they were just figuring things out and that they might get back together. She told Omer she would have never believed that he'd come there.

He gave his all and loved and treasured Defne, while she continued to live a lie and kept things from him. He felt something was not right.

Omer es ese tipo de hombres de los que las mujeres deberíamos de permanecer fuera de su alcance. Si Omer fuera mi hijo, ya lo habría puesto en su lugar unas cuantas veces. No pasaría por alto sus conductas y el poco respeto que muestra por las mujeres y si Defne fuera mi hija no permitiría que un hombre como Omer se acercara a ella, pero Defne no tuvo unos padres que la protegieran, que le mostraran que existen hombres como Omer de los cuales debe cuidarse.
Qué difícil sería para cualquier mujer vivir todo el tiempo en alerta, cuidando sus palabras, por no lastimar y ofender a ese hombre. Con miedo de expresarse libremente sin riesgo de ser juzgada y abandonada. Sería vivir en constante estrés, pero Defne fue muy valiente para soportarlo y su amor tan grande para perdonarlo. Es el hombre que ella eligió, al único que se entregó. Fue tan fuerte y tan inteligente que al final consiguió que ese hombre se hiciera digno de ella

Pamir le preguntó por qué dejó a Defne cuando ella le reveló el secreto. Dijo que esperaba que Defne siempre dijera la verdad. Entonces Pamir le preguntó nuevamente por qué la dejó después de que ella le dijo la verdad. Su respuesta fue la de un niño agraviado: porque estaba enojado. Pffff

Omer se dejaba gobernar por su ira desmedida , entonces era incapaz de razonar.

I can see omer forgiven Sadri . Sadri and Omer are very close .Omer never forgives no one, but Omer has been changing slowly . You got to remember Omer all his life was a cold ,arrogant , lack empathy, must be admired ,strong ,never gives in , always yelling, never smiled, had to have yes people around him, pride ,man. Defne is changing Omer for the better. It takes time.

Omer first met Defne when he was 27 . Now Omer is 28. It is 1 year now Defne and omer relationship was on and off. So in season 2 1 year later after Omer left Defne the next day after the wedding . Omer is 29. Sinan is 30. And Defne is 28.

Él odio que sentía por su abuelo lo dirigió hacia Defne de la que se enamoró porque se parece a su madre.
Sadri también es responsable de lo que ocurrió. Él le sugirió al abuelo que buscara a Defne. "Es una chica misericordiosa y te puede ayudar" le dijo. Al final, la única que se enfrentó a la furia de Omer fue Defne. Sadri no fue capaz de defenderla. Todos los culpables, Sadri, los tíos, la abuela y Nihan ni siquiera mostraron arrepentimiento. El único que reconoció su error fue Necmi que le aconsejó que no dejara a Defne por eso, le dijo que ella no era culpable. Omer, simplemente no escuchó, él ya había decidido sacar de su vida a esa malvada mujer que solo lo lastima. 😢

Baris is dramatic actor par excellence! Whatever emotion there is he can PORTRAY it thru his facial expressions especially with his eyes.
I’ll be watching KUZGUN after this KA. There are many dramatic scenes there involving Baris.
Hope that you enjoy Kuzgun. I really enjoyed it Love for rent is my # 1 Turkish dizi. Elcin and Baris’s chemistry is outstanding and so believable. If you like Elcin and Baris together Time of happiness is a 2 hour film that is very good too.. It was filmed in 2017, after Love for rent. Elcin is also in a great series with Kivanc Tatlitug called Carpisma which I also really enjoyed.

I started watching Alparslan, haven’t finished episode 1 yet. I’ll watch Elvin’s Cöp Adam. I think I’ll be doing some “flipping watching” with these 2 series.
I’m not surprise to read comments about KA/LFR 9 yrs after its launch. I hope the Turkish TV will designate it as a CLASSIC romcom! We should send a message of campaign to that govt agency for this designation. Wouldn’t that be great! KA/LFR gets such a worldwide support, not just in Turkey.

Defne forgive always. Omer never forgives, but Defne changed Omer. When the master told Omer he knew his grandfather for 40 years and his grandfather told the master to take care of Omer when he was 17 when Omer went on the streets when his parents died . The old Omer would be so angry and never forgive . But slowly Omer changing for the better , because Defne bringing out all of Omer not just Omer bad side he shows the world.

I think one of the reasons she forgives Omer easily is because of the guilt she feels. Her deception, keeping a big secret from him, telling him all sorts of lies for a whole year.

I can’t understand the logic of this family.. For 10 years this guy has lived in hatred of his grandfather, thinking that he was alien to him, didn’t help, abandoned him.. why were they silent? And then, it’s good that his grandfather didn’t accept his mother, but didn’t kick her out either, there are many families where the mother-in-law or father-in-law doesn’t like their daughters-in-law, they would live in their own home and not date, what’s the problem?? Some kind of illogical plot? And the big guy, like the girl, was offended by his grandfather and left home?

I don’t know how to feel about Omer and Hulusi. Omer is stubborn but Hulusi seems to be kind of selfish. Even though he says he regrets his actions he still forces people to go act on his behalf.
