If I have a VA Service Connected Disability for total left hip arthroplastyat 30% effective 9/1/2020, left and right knee arthritis 30%, 10% respectively; and waiting for a decision on a secondary lumbar spine condition claim dated 4/2020. Can I file a claim for chronic pain as I’m currently working with an orthopedic and spine specialist for my pain condition and in addition I am working with the VA Mental Health Staff regarding my mental health situation due to the current pain and quality of life issues. Do you need to have a diagnosis for "chronic pain" or can you file stating that due to the service connected injury I have chronic pain which is causing "xyz" secondary conditions?
So can chronic pain with a medical diagnosis be filed as unexplained Gulf war illness ? In my case it’s mainly degenerative disc disease and chronic pain in both shoulders .
So if im rated 40% for lumbar IVDS with arthritis AND 10% for rt leg nerve disfunction ALREADY, but have had diagnosis of Chronic Pain Syndrome since day I got out, can I file a claim for the pain now? My backs gotten way worse

Does a chronic pain rating replace any other ratings that a veteran may currently have or be able to gain in the future? for example if I have a rating for bilateral pes planus and claim a chronic pain rating and it is approved, does the pes planus rating go away and the chronic pain rating take its place? Does getting the chronic pain rating stop me from claiming other arthritis issues in other body parts after I am approved for chronic pain? Thank you for helping the Veterans and for all that you do!

I do too, file a claim and get scheduled be honest wiith examiner.
I'm confused, my DAV rep says that there is no claim for chronic pain, I would have to say I have it during my exam?
