TSD made an excellent point about the sea-change in the nature of commentary versus little or no real change in the things which are being commented on.
On the Acolyte, there's actually a term for people continuing to bring up superficial nonsense the more you try to dispute it. It's gish-galloping. Innuendo Studios has a great video on that in his alt-right playbook series. Great episode as per usual!
Hello there! Kind of late to the party (PoGcast?), but the whole conversation about the deconstruction of the Jedi around 1:31:42 is my thought exactly! _Those_ SW fans are all about saying that Sith are more honest than the Jedi as the "me first" order (there might be an intersection with objectivist Ayn Rand fans there but I will not do the statistical research) but when the creators of Star Wars talk about that they start throwing a fit. What. The Hell. Do you want!?
From the perspective of somebody who has worked for a company that was involved with inviting "influencers" to premieres and events, and who has worked with every major film studio, I can not think of a single example where any influencer is punished or rewarded for saying good or bad things about a film. Obviously that is within reason; having a negative review is different to going on an hour-long tirade about a film ruining the industry or being woke or whatever. But normal, rational reviews that were negative never meant barring. The major elements to why someone was invited somewhere was 1) they have the right audience, and 2) they're nice to work with. You're going to want to come back to the creator who is kind, and thoughtful when they interact with PR. The way you get blacklisted is by being an asshole (although some of them even got invited because their audience was big enough)
this was defintely posted on time and not 40 minutes late because tsd forgot to schedule the episode.
Thanks for having me on! It was a pleasure!
had a few mic issues here I wasn't aware of until we wrapped - won't happen again guys o7

😂PoG started previewing the music episode early

So you're an Innuendo Studios fan? Opinions automatically discarded then.

Did you write your two sentences today PoGoat? I love videos reviewing/discussing older sitcoms, especially with a unique hook like that.
