A most appropriate funky, eclectic avant garde, post punk potpourri of enchanting sight & sound, mixing that period media aura of New York downtown's Lower East Side fun filled venture of bold self reliance, in film and music.
I saw this exhibition a month ago or so. And I'll go to the Vuiton foundation for the "Basquiat X Warhol" one next weekend. We Parisians also had a Warhol show at Vuiton a few years ago (2018). I'll always regret missing the late 70s-early 80s in NY when I would have been a teenager, but as a fifty-something I still have some kind of institutional karma revenge.
I'm glad you made it! Having grown up in New Jersey, I did get to see a bit of great music, with and without my parents driving me. I took a local bus and saw Jimmi Hendrix when I was 16.
@@VJ1tv Wov. My experience is for sure more "bourgeois" and far remote. 🙂 But for instance I had Laswell / Material on my radar in 81-82 in my French province city, and kept digging since in various fields and directions. Laswell is how I came across your channel. Your documents are precious!

Thanks for including my band The Dance in this great clip!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
