Omg yes please watch WE GOT MARRIED w/ Sungjae and Joy. Just as you felt watching their “YOUNG LOVE” MV. They were the youngest couple in WGM history, I think they were like 20 and 21 years old. WGM was Joy first solo reality show and Sungjae literally was a perfect match for her tbh. He already knew how reality/variety show works. So he really guided and made Joy really comfortable. He kept saying, you look pretty in anything you do..so she does not have to be too self conscious about not looking pretty on camera. Joy slowly became more of herself around Sungjae and vice versa and BOOM the unserious and playful banter was born between them. Sungjae is very take it slow guy and was cautious earlier on especially when it comes Joy and also the fans. But then it kind of back fired on him cuz fans were saying oh Sungjae is not interested in Joy..poor Joy is so expressive and affectionate.. Sungjae is so cold to her. But he was honestly just did not want to rush things and get to know her more. Their bond was so organic though cuz they were awkward and funny at first, but their conversations were honest and endearing. You can see their growth as a young couple and it was more like WE ARE DATING than married. They also had so many other things on their bucket list as a couple that they did not get to finish which was sad. Honestly they were just so charming and funny, the viewers fell in love and not just with Sungjae and Joy, but with BTOB and Red Velvet. The MV has some moments of WGM, but the other than the rest of the MV was an actual MV shoot lol. Which was another thing off their bucket list, it was to write a song together and film a MV for it. They made it come true. So sweet right?? ❤
That's absolutely adorable, I love a good wholesome show like that. I might have to find some time to put it on the schedule then! I'll have to see if it's something that gets lots of copyright blocks though
John Legend and Wendy did film the video together, she talks about it in her Lee Mujin's Service episode. It's a bit of a shame that this was almost 6 years ago, and it seems like not too many people know about it in the West. 💙
Oh right! I forgot about that bit of Lee Mujin's Service I had to go back and rewatch that part lol but yeah this song should absolutely have blown up in the West it's so good!
I also couldn't believe it when they announce the collab of wendy with john legend! It was absolutely mind blowing. As for your question, they actually filmed the mv together. Wendy went to the US to shoot the mv and also did the recording there. Fun fact: for the twice and red velvet collab, in the fancam that people took, you could hear the difference of the audience between the groups. Whenever red velvet member is singing/in the center, the cheers are mostly from fangirls. And when it's twice, the cheers are mostly fanboys😭 (p.s. when it's joy's part, you could hear everyone cheers both fangirls and fanboys 😂 everyone loves joy wbk)
I would LOVE to see a behind the scenes of that shoot / recording if it exists, that's just so cool! That's super fun! I'll have to go check out the fan cam! and yeah everybody loves Joy
we got married was more of a reality tv show if you didn’t know that! it was a bunch of different celebrities paired up as couples and they had to date on tv for a period of time. so some of the scenes in the mv are from the show but it was all mainly specifically filmed for the mv for the show (if that makes sense)
Canadian Wendy didn’t feel the cold filming Spring Love 😂 Plus will be fun to see Eric with his on screen wife, Solar! Eric is a top tier vocalist… he went to the 3rd round in King of Masked Singers as Broccoli 🥦
it would be really fun if you recorded WGM, and you need to know that WGM doesn't use a script, the director just tells you what or where they are going to shoot so that the chat or interaction is really real without a script, because in the previous WGM there were rumors that the event It uses a script that must be followed by the artist/idol, but that's just a rumor because idols or artists who have participated in the event said that they didn't receive any script, they were just told to be natural by the director, so what do you see? that's really their real conversation or interaction ...
If you hadn't noticed on Dreams Come true collab Twice members sing: *Boys scream* Red Velvet members sings: *Girls scream* Don't push me is one of the best ost I've heard from a kdrama.
Dreams Come True was done by SM's first girl group, S.E.S, in 1998 and is a remake of Finnish group Nylon Beat. Aespa remade this song in 2021, which was produced by BoA

wendy also did a collab with ricky martin, sm really should have promoted these songs more.
For real, the John Legend one was so good and could’ve heard radio play in the US if they wanted

other idols were also on the show
like taemin, taeyeon, and then eric nam and solar were paired together for one season too
The Sping Love stage on Sketchbook was 2 years after the songs release iirc
So I was right, he did look a little older there! but that's interesting that it was such a big gap between release and performing together!
@SylverReacts they talk about that during the show. I put a link in discord
Yes like everyone else Wendy and John Legend did film the MV together but also it is the same area they filmed "Ice Cream Cake"
Oooh that’s a cool Easter egg
If you haven’t heard yet.. Wendy also has a collab song with Ricky Martin. 😊
I hadn't heard that yet! I guess we know at least one of what's going on our next one of these!
Canadian Wendy didn’t feel the cold filming Spring Love 😂

We got Married is great. People shipped them for years 😂
21:09... you're so right... that's so frustrating
Right?! it's crazy how far the parasocial thing has gone in the most recent generations
