Thank you for this. The microcontroller helped me get running an engine that would not start on a traditional manual AF tweaking setup. Though i'm yet to get the boat to move.
@@ProfNCognito Sorry but i dont understand it either. In the Clip you put air from mc into air manifold. What do you mean by throttle goes straith to the air? Other than that great video!
This was really good up until you changed your microcontroller in between cuts and didn't explain how you added air into the mix. Would be really nice if you cut in a quick explanation or image of your complete controller.
I'm not sure if I am misunderstanding the commented correction with the microconteroller or what, but I cannot get the engine to start. If I do a setup with manual air/fuel throttle levers it works, though not very efficiently.
I can't find the fuel manifold on the engine...did we remember to put that in? I'm at 9:40 in the video...maybe it comes in later...I'm very confused and have the dumbs today...
I really don't know whats wrong with my engine. it turns on and spools just fine for roughly 10 second and then it will stall and not turn on again. Do you have any idea whats wrong with it?
ok, so i built it like in the video, but the clutch doesn't work. I did it the same as you, and when I check it, the tooltip says that the clutched throttle is zero. Can you help me?
@@ProfNCognito thanks for the quick response I’m new and I accidentally put the air manifold on the back of a cylinder instead of the attachment part lol, great video bro!
My engine just will not start. I am using 12 of the 5x5 cylinders but in the same layout as in the vid. I've quintuple checked everything and nothing will work. Would using larger cylinders change anything?
3x3 and 5x5 engine need 3 to 5x the cooling that 1x1 engines need. If you want to run them at full throttle, you need to have a coolant flow rate of 1000L/S or more to keep a 5x5 engine from overheating. Most radiators have a limit of 64-74L/s so you need a LOT of them to get the 1000+L/s to get proper cooling.
Yeah its the full power thing. You want to try and get a lower rps. Like the vanilla engines they work best at 20% or 20 rps. They will also be super fuel efficient.
You could actually turn the radiator on, he never told you this, but the fan on the radiator he used has to be turned on in order to cool anything, lower power makes it to where a engine with no coolant won’t explode, so just hook a toggle button to the, “Fan on/off” logic node and hook up electric
Man this is weird, I followed the vid exactly, but the engine just isn't running. It turns over and starts, but it immediately dies. When I checked the engine in the game, it said exhaust was at 0%, even though I made the exhaust exactly like in your vid... any ideas as to why it might not be working?
I added a small pump, powered by the battery, to the exhaust to see if that helped, but exhaust is still 0% and the engine won't start. The fuel manifold also says 0L/s when I check the flow in-game. I followed the MC design to the letter, even every step of the logic and I'm scratching my head as to why I can't get it to work lol
Okay, here come the dumb questions. Did you hook everything up right? Are you giving it gas/throttle? If exhaust is zero somewhere something is hooked up wrong. Let me know.
@@ProfNCognito Yes, as far as I know, everything should be properly hooked up, I followed everything in this video. Except for the part where you had an additional "Air" output in the MC that you connected to the air intakes, for my model, I just connected the throttle to the air intake.

Ah, maybe now I can be arsed to get into this modular stuff. Nicely done, Prof.
If you have trouble let me know.
I am having problems with modular engines, or the Devs broke something related to handling exhaust fluids.
Okay, something about manifold pieces has changed. Air intake is also finicky. It might be worth revisiting this subject.

where on the engine do I connect pipes to the tires? im new
From clutch

Thank you so so so much, I made one that fully worked but it was so weak and never wanted to move good but jow I am gonna make a race car 🙃
As soon as I let go of the starter my air:fuel ratio just divebombs. What am I doing wrong?
I am just wondering, is it a good idea to have multiple fuel and air intake manifolds on an engine, like one per every cylinder?
Yes but it burns more fuel.
I have made an engine with that idea, but it will just die after a minute of running, and it isn’t because it runs out of fuel
The four ports on manifolds are supposed to represent, air-coolant-fuel-exhaust transfer ports, so a manifold should carry these between cylinders.
I build mine exactly the same but when i start it, it revs super high and bounces revs or dies...what am i doing wrong
And what do i do when the engine overheats and burns me alive?
To much rps probably.
