- finally worked out the stupid breakout board... to the extent of making my motor turn... thats about it.. but enough to test Screw whipping, and speed.

Love the way you speak man - my sort of language :-)
Hei Joppe - fun times trying to figure out how to make our nipples work re: grease. It only just occurred to me that you're using 20/25mm diameter ballscrews! Holy shitballs, there's no wonder that your access to the ballscrew nut's grease port is obstructed....hahaha....it got me thinking though, because on the carriage you (we, I have a similar arrangement with that Vallder extrusion) have four linear guideway blocks plus that ballscrew nut. I've been thinking of making an aggreggate lubricating system, tying all five components together as a group. I don't know how well this might work since the ballscrew nut is a "single port in" whereas the guideway blocks can be "one port in and one port out". Looking forward to hearing any updates....
Hmm that's not a bad idea!!!! to at least pit 2 blocks in series ! It can go to the balkscrew:( since ridge between balkscrew and block is rather high :( not sure if i can squeeze a tube there
@@joppepeelen Yes, I saw that problem also. My current imagined solution would be to run the lubrication tube into the interface plate (the plywood plate you have here) or even through it bottom-to-top to a unified lubrication point or points. My own setup is with this extrusion as the Y axis, so this port would come through to the Z axis assembly. One of those things where I could just "make it work" by fixing it up when I build it, but I'd much rather design a solution now at the desktop to guarantee things.
Nice! So the wobble occurs only at the last 20 cm, not this bad. I guess the resonance is caused by the 'hang through' of the spindle in first place.
Someone wrote on amazon, that the Mach 3 is OK for simple tasks, but can not do things like reversal adjustment etc.
yeah you are right, its the longest piece on one side of the nut, (when that is the maximum length) on its side it seems to reach 6000mm/minute rapids. when i cut things its usually less then that maybe 4000.. that should not be a problem :) thank god. but i rather had it higher :( over this distance it seem to take ages :) haha
hey Joppe, it looks like a very nice build, have you already got it complete?
not by far i am afraid :( i am not sure how many videos i will spend on it, since it makes it even slower. but we will see :)
@@joppepeelen dat is spijtig, hoop dat je het toch snel in orde zal krijgen. Het gaat een prachtig machine worden.
Have you looked into the "BlackBox Motion Control System X32" controller? I am just about to build a RatRig CNC router using the Black Box
i never did, well i dont want to spend allot of money but there must be something better then i have :( i liked my paralel port 10 euro breakout better. it makes more sence to me :)
since the ports/pins mentioned are related to whats stated on the board :) but it cant get enough pulses out :) more then 30Khz
ah its a driver and breakout in one, i would be looking only for a breakout :) the drivers are good i think ! also closed loop so
Yes brother , we are discussing nipples again . Cheers 🥂
sure do :) hehe, where to get nipples in and reach them , with your grease gun....
