All those years I spent down on that beach surfing in rubbish summer on-shores, & I never looked up past the YHA to see the gliders!! Having just taken up sloping this summer, I'm almost tempted to nip back down the A39 just to watch you first hand :) Brilliant video's
Might just take you up on that at some time. :) ...if it ever stops raining! I've a growing collection myself so maybe bring some down to try off the cornish coast as well. Just finished a Ridge Runt, Bird of Time and nearly finished an old Fly Fly scale ASW 28.
Well I had a crappy day today & I thought I'd watch one of your videos so I went to my "Subscribe" section and I could not find you but did not, so then I went to my "history" and found your channel. Well, I am again watching your videos and my evening seems to be improving and I have Subscribed.
Woohoo-another 10/10 posting! The opening flight sequence has me thinking of how puppies frolic about, exploring their new world while staying close by. Your Libelle has imprinted on you! Your video has convinced me: I >Need< a DF Libelle...I’ll be sure to credit you with the sale when I place my order. Huge Thanks for sharing with us all!
I would like to see a documentary type video. About your airplanes, you, your flying area, building the airplanes. And of coarse your 10,000 square foot shop,☺!
Having lived in the UK for 5 years in the late eighties early nineties, I would like to know where you got the switch to turn on all these glorious sunny days you always fly in? You make r/c flying look so effortless- it's poetry in motion! Gary Perth WAus
Again beautiful flight. But, a really good r/c pilot could smash into the ground so hard that he'd have to buy new servos and a receiver.... Excellent flying...
Robert K. I’m the only one that flies here. I’m lucky that it’s just a short walk from my house. There is another spot about 4 miles up the coast where you can park right next to where you fly. Everyone else goes there as it’s an easy spot to fly from.
bonjour John tes vidéos sont toujours génial bravo a Mme je vois que tu construit beaucoup comment fait tu???publie tu des vidéos des phases de montage de tes modelés
Hi John. For weeks I have been enjoying your videos. I have been building model airplanes from balsa for years. May I ask what your sources are for the building plans. I would love to make one for my own again. Sadly all model airplane retailers in my neighbourhood sell foam models. I just want to spend my time on building and then flying.
Gert Kracht hi there. So glad you like the videos! I downloaded most of my plans from the Outerzone website. There are thousands of plans and they are all free. Luckily I also have a large format printer to,print them out.
@@SlopeRCGliders Thank you very much for your reply John. I have been watching your video 'LF-1 Costal Soaring' many times. What a beautiful model that is. Haven't found the plans for it yet. If you can help me out, I would appreciate it.
Gert Kracht the LF-1 is one of my own designs. Unfortunately I don’t really have any plans for it as I just drew a basic outline and made the rest up as I went along.
Great video, I’d love to try this out. Can you recommend a decent transmitter that will work well for a beginner, but work well when i step into more high performance gliders? Thanks!
Hi John, please comment on wind speed and how it penetrates; the dream flight is so light, I imagine this is for very mild slope winds only...or have you tried it in anything over 10 knots?
Techno Xtreme yes, it makes a better light wind sloper than it does a DLG. Although it’s light, it’s still quite a slippery shape. I’d happily fly it off a slope in anything between 2-10 knots breeze. It was probably 4-5 knots in this video.
Dude, your videos are such a joy to watch. Thank you.
Thank you!
Whimsical music for whimsical flying - perfect match.
Another nice one John!
First time seeing someone VTPR a Libelle!
Great flying!
Daniel Soon thanks Daniel!
Amazing. Nice flying. Is this one of those locations that we dream about because the breeze blows inland every day... or almost every day ?
Such a relaxing hobby. I have not done it for years but really enjoyed watching your video John. Thank you.
Wolfie6020 thank you
John, thanks for confirming that the Libelle is sublime sloper - much appreciated, a great video. I'm going to have to buy one now !
Ahh! the Lovely LIbelle. Every time I try to order one of these they're out....Darn it!

I go surfing when the wind is offshore and flying when it’s onshore. You are more than welcome to come fly any of my gliders...
Might just take you up on that at some time. :)

Brilliant video, what more can I say 😍👍
And you sync the music with your flying and catching. I just sit here and shake my head in astonishment and wonder... Regards!
Travelbugse28 thank you!
Would be very nice if you show the control surfaces in motion before flight.
Also, what is the range of the RC communications?
Hey John, W@@W, What A FUN Lil' Video & Flyin Bird! Just Watch Where You Jump & Step Mate! LOL Thanks I Really Enjoyed It! ;~)P

Cerami Art Dental haha and thank you. I do only tend to take video when the sun is shining. It looks so much better.
Where do you get those beautiful planes?
Eagle Sauce I’ve had this one for years and just ordered it online. But 99% of my planes I build from scratch myself.
I have this beauty, flyes great. Where is the location?
Again beautiful flight. But, a really good r/c pilot could smash into the ground so hard that he'd have to buy new servos and a receiver.... Excellent flying...
John, anybody else fly there where you do? I'd think that on the pretty days you've shared with us, there'd be crowded airspace.

When NASA find out about the anti-gravity mechanism you build into your gliders...………!
i guess it's kind of off topic but do anyone know a good site to watch newly released movies online?

I'm curious what part of the world this slope is located? I have done some sloping on Lake Ontario and at Cape Cod.
Hi there, I’m in Cornwall U.K.
@@SlopeRCGliders Perfect location. I will add it to my dream list of slope sites.

I have one John, need to find a place in East Bay San Fran to fly it. Bob

I think people fly at Mission Peak in Fremont.

I'm not interested in flying there, of course! I just want to know where in the world it is .....
