I bought Mel's books, and they have been lifesaving. I struggled with self-acceptance all my life despite having a beautiful family and a successful career. I finally learned to stop beating myself with my own negative thoughts. For once, I am going after what I really love to do besides the mundane corporate job of over 2 decades ❤❤❤

I've listened to the 5 second rule, the high 5 habit, stop saying you're fine. It's almost to the point that hearing your voice gives me a boost. Everytime I listen to a new piece from you it seems to match whatever it is I'm stuck on. The last one was figuring out my passion. There is so much gratitude in me for what you've done.

WoW! I just got a job offer today….. and I am so grateful to you Mel Robbins for keeping it real. For inspiring me to keep going and to not give up although I haven’t achieved my own purpose (that will come). It is a very good thing that I decided to listen to this lesson all the way to the end….. the negotiation piece/mentoring is GOLDEN! Thank you 💪🏾🙏🏾🤞🏾💜

I high-fived myself twice before officiating my brother's wedding 2 days ago. Thought EXCITEMENT not fear ... then said let's go! I give myself a B because I'm a perfectionist. The entire evening was amazing and I'm thrilled my "fear" of the unknown didn't prevent me from that experience.

37.54 30 mins in the morning planning for you, don't sleep with your phone, claim that first 30 mins for yourself, focus on you, not your phone. Give yourself a hi 5 in the mirror in the morning. Give your bad voice a name, treat it like a puppy on a leash wanting to run everywhere, step on the leash, call it out (name ??) shut it down, change your pattern of thought. Use the 54321 (counting backwards to 5) to do the things you don't want to do. We all have to do things we don't want to do like get out of bed. Put the phone elsewhere so you have to get up to turn the alarm off. Confidence is a willingness to try. Don't think about what you want to do, just push yourself to try. Jealousy is evidence of what you want in life. No need to be competitive, there's heaps of success, love, happiness to go around, celebrate other women, the louder you cheer and invite people in, in turn happens for you. Jealousy is your deepest desires & dreams blocked by your fear !!

Thank you for making this video. I suffer from severe anxiety. I get anxiety if the wind blows to hard. But I'm in my 30s and really want to make something of myself especially I want to make not only me proud but my family proud. This video helped me understand patterns and how to break them.

This video is full of priceless tips, advice and information. As usual, Mel Robbins delivers in Spades! However, all that said, I do have one criticism and that is of one of the camera crew who felt it appropriate to zoom their lens onto to peoples mobile phones and their notes, so much so that we can read very clearly what they have written! This is totally not acceptable, so please make this clear to all your team and don’t do this again!!

Isn't it interesting that none of the participants gave the voice in her head a female name? Most of the names were male. And another thought - to most people this thing about 1 in 400 trillion odds probably seems fascinating. But what to do when you think this 1 in such huge odds should have been skipped and you would prefer that the next one in the line got to be concieved instead of you? That is one loud voice in your head. This video is great! Thank you, Mel.

Great advice Mel, very down to earth and practical.
Absolutely thinking about your life brings in the same emotions of the past because that is the measure we use to evaluate our lives and the mind perceives these thoughts/emotions as the safe route forward and seeks to recreate your past into the present, which perpetuates into the future based upon emotions which wind up being hormones in the body...drugs...we get addicted to. It's based on programming from an imperfect and control based society which is at least 75% of it is negative which we recycle over and over again until WE change. So stop thinking of your life...return to Spirit instead. The cure to change it is to practice presence/awareness daily and heart-brain coherence ....you'll be amazed......

Been with company for 10 years. And in that time I have only increased 6000 kinda sad
