I was blown away when MJR dropped this on the video. He is one of the most genuine people I have ever met.
I know my collection would be in good hands with you buddy! Thanks for being such a great friend :)
So, John is now the prime suspect if something happens to MJR.....the plot tickens. 😂
If something happens to metal, John will be suspect number one 😂😂😂
Immortal!
Could tell you were absolutely floored. What a great community and friendship. Love seeing the passion ALL the crew has.
People ask me this, and I can't answer 😂.
CastlevaniaObsession you can have Castlevania 64. you're welcome.
Radical Reggie xD
send it to me! everything will find a good nice warm home
When Metal Jesus dies it will be fine, we will just resurrect himself.ElBribri
Radical Reggie I feel like donating to an electronics museum is always a nice last resort
Dem feels were real in this video. John had no idea ;)
MetalJesusRocks the look in johns eyes when he thought I wonder if I could drive a bus? Emotional
A MJR wing in the Hancock Videogame Museum sounds so perfect!
It's awesome how you surprised him with that
If I come to that neck of the woods, I'm going to need a tour of you and your pals' collections. I'll be sure to order my admission tickets in advance :-)
It was a no brainer, If MJR were to die, the right person to get all those games and systems would be John. He is called the INMORTAL after all :D
PD: I know it's an old video; I'm a kinda new subscriber.
Whoa it was almost like a " Will you be the God Father of my child moment " John looked surprised.
I thought he was going to cry
I about teared up when MJR told him that. So cool
"And marry my wife while you are at it"
Dustin Morrison me too
I was expecting a bro hug at some point. :P
This whole video is completely irrelevant, one of 'em is immortal and the other one can come back from death in like... 3 days.
Brilliant
Yeah, seriously: "Let's talk about death and pretend it would faze us!" :)
fernandobujaidar oh man I laughed my ass off
Best comment for the video...
But he's a special kind of Jesus, made of metal, how does that work then?
If the Metal Jesus got hit by a bus, I'm pretty sure the bus would be the one dying.
HA!!
Don't ever die MJ! I want your videos forever....
JH: "What're you going to do with your collection MJR?"
MJR: "Well John, the answer is you."
*entire continent of North America sheds single tear*
because they are laughing so hard.
Sam Sjostedt North America isn't a continent, bro.
+Aswawarman Kutai What have you been smoking?
Randy Bradley isn't the name of the continent is America instead of North America ?
No, North America is Canada and U.S.A.
But John's immortal
Hey Dad Let's Play! Ikr?
That's why MJR wills his collection to him.
Hey Dad Let's Play! Classic lol
.... and Jesus came back from the dead
Like thousands of years ago.
If MetalJesus died and if John had a museum he could do a room with the MetalJesus collection for like a honorable mention.
nah it will be HALL OF FAMER.
Lol xD
Like some sort of altar or shrine?
He could embalm Metal Jesus and have him on display as well!
...Or maybe not.
Johns response was so genuine I am almost positive he gave Jason a huge hug after that not only the topic of the video is interesting it's the on screen natural reaction that really made me enjoy this video
Watching John almost cry made us almost cry
A friend of mine told me that when her father died she disposed of an entire garage full of video games. She told me that it took her an entire years worth of garbage collection to get rid of it and she also said that most of it was still sealed. I thought she was lying but other family members confirmed it. I was like like you never thought to even post ads to sell the games? Her response was "I just never thought this junk was worth anything". I was purely mortified.
you have a shitty friend
I think john was on the verge of tears
Lmao
he was for real ! you can tell he started blinking real fast and squinting.. John is a genuine dude he seems awesome! I would love to look at his collection and meet him
When Metal Jesus goes missing tomorrow.. we know what's up. ;)
Ya, His wife needed a vacation.
Haha
You can tell that John Hancock wants to cry. You really are a genuinely honest and humble human being John. Thank you for being in this community. People can look up to you not only as a collector but as a person.
I'm interested in what hobby John's father tried to push on him.
drinking and whoring, most likely.
haha XD Made my day. :)
Cocaine. He called it a hobby, but we all know better now.
toenail collection.
ben s. Lol same sens of humor here 😂
long live MetalJesus!
After my parents died and we had to dispose of each of their "collections", I vowed not to do that to whoever has to clean up after me :). I am lucky that my nephew teaches music at a college so I know where all my guitars will go.
Great video as always, MJR!
badGamr Yeah, I feel bad for whoever will have to deal with my comics. I don't have an especially large library, but they are heavy and take up significant space and, probably worst, aren't especially valuable, so selling it off would probably be a waste of time.
@@srwapo
knock up some chick
But John is immortal. No worries!
And Metal Jesus will just come back in 7 days
Crazy Joe You mean three?
Crazy Joe Joe!!
This was legit a super sweet thing to tell John on video, MJR. I started to tear up when you told him.
If Metal Jesus dies, he'll will return in 3 console generations
This was one of my fav vids you have done, when you told John what your wishes were for your games was an awsome moment. I been following MJR for over a year now and have started to seriously collect because of you and the whole MJR crew. Keep up the awsome work much love from Canada.
Well this video was surprisingly sweet. I loved how you genuinely surprised John.
Love these videos ! Where people talk about what would happen to the collection! It was a great discussion really enjoyed it! The camera quality is really good; the new camcorder has really made a difference.
Dude’s... what a cool video. You guys came across so genuine. I knew you guys were awesome. This just kicked it up another notch. Thanks for your content.
@MetalJesusRocks, you made me cry... The Immortal John Hancock had tears as well. I am so lucky to be alive in this day in age as a gamer. Videos like this remind me of that gift. Thr is so many beautiful gaming enthusiasts out thr that give thr heart and soul to the gaming community...one love and respect to you both.
Man, this was a nice moment. Congrats for both of you.
This was very touching! John's expression was priceless! Much love!!!
That guy is a wealth of knowledge, and he is genuine...... Both of these needs tons of respect...... And a huge thank you for collecting for preservation...... Its actually a real kind thing to do
This was a great video, I love hearing about the preservation of collections and the importance of those collections living on past our time.
A true gamer takes his games to the grave, just kidding.
Awesome duo! The passion is real! Thanks guys
VERY heartfelt boys! Keep up the good work.... Both of you!
Blown away by the collections guys, just insane!! You guys are true masters of the collecting craft its been really nice to watch!!
I worry about this kind of stuff all the time
koosa583622 You're in the wrong place buddy xD
koosa583622 I got rid of 9000 records because I was getting sick of them controlling me now I started buying music cds and I'm sick again because of them rotting before I die.
@@michaelgenzale7537
hahaha
@INVISIGOTH
get pregnant therefore
That was quite an emotional moment - nice "good feel" upload mate. Love your channel and all your guests too - especially Reggie 😆
Awesome Video yet again. Never a question I've thought about although my collection is very extremely pale in comparison. John looked like he was gonna cry - a nice moment to share
Man that moment damn near made ME emotional. These two were my inspiration to start collecting! So awesome.
I wonder what I should do with my collection after I die (on the odd chance that I won't be immortalised into a robot )
Loved seeing how John reacted!
I'm just now watching this video and this is a great question. I worry about my collection too. Both of you guys are so passionate that I hope that when I die someone as passionate as you gentlemen end up with my (small compared to your's) collection. As always, keep up the great work. Much love to you both.
man, John's reaction was priceless.. it was right in his heart, we could see it through his eyes. this just made my day better :)
Great video!!! Been a subscriber for about a year and watch every video. What's interesting about that is I don't play or collect video games. My personal passion is comic books- I love the way your channel speaks passionately about collecting and the importance of it. It's weird that you've said things that hit home that I've heard 10 times before in comic collector videos but I was to busy "shopping" the backgroundto hear it. Keep doing videos that emphasize the legacy and importance of collecting something that "normal" people just don't understand
Another great and very interesting and hearthwarming video! Thumbs up! :)
love your videos! they rock!!
Dude, John teared up, he's such a good guy, you can tell just from his reactions. You guys are awesome keep this up man
This is beautiful love you guys my dudes
Why bother Jesus, if you will resurrect on the third day anyway..
For a video with such a heavy topic, a beautiful moment came from it
A bitter sweet conversation. Well done gentlemen! Touching sentiments towards each other and video game preservation. So beautiful. So Metal. \m/>.
This is a REAL and GENUINE video! LOVE DAT METAL JESUS!
You ain't going nowhere! Keeping making great videos!
Dude. This video had a truly magical moment. You guys are so awesome. If you ever open a museum, i'll work for you ;)
There is the just opened Videogame History Foundation an ONG I think that is a good place to send them if you don't have heirs willing to continue your legacy
Watching in 2019. I’m relatively new to MJR, but I’ve watched probably 75+ videos already. This is probably the best one I’ve seen yet.
I absolutely love you metal Jesus, you are what keeps UA-cam vibrant and full of just childhood enthusiasm and I can feel that you are a good person at heart and don't ever conform to what's considered "cool" to others because that's them and besides most people don't know that it's being kind and generous and lighthearted that's the cool stuff, I mean you of all people must be able to relate to the archetype of the hero! For instance the hero stands up for the weak and sick and unfortunate he doesn't exploit that for his own gain. But all too often is that the case in this world so thank you for being an example, thank you for who you are and most of all thank you for all the work you must put into this. Sincerest //Johan
i love that response by john! thats super cool and a great place for your games mjr!
Amazing, very deep and not something alot of collectors want to think about right away!
You guys are amazing!
Well, John is an immortal so he doesn't have to worry about it.
great stuff!
I am new on your channel and retrieve all videos. I like it very much! I have to answer this video in any case. My collection is not nearly as big as yours or John's. Nevertheless, I had to think about what happens if I die prematurely. I see the same emotions that I had with both of you. True collectors. Thanks for your videos. It's a pleasure to watch the videos. I am from Germany so please excuse me if my English is not so good.P.S. I´m a big metal freak, too. Nearly 30 years now. Great games, great music.
My favorite episode. Really gained my respect
hey there mjr ive recently subbed to your channel gotta say its great
Awesome video! Great question for us collectors to think about.
Great video!!!!
great video guys
What an awesome vid!
Great topic. Thank you.
Your an amazing friend. People can only wish to have this type of awesome relationship with their buddies. True comrades.
Fucking amazing video! Loved your answers! MetalJesus you fuckin rock!
This was a very powerful video (: I'm about to tear up..
These are the kind of questions that keep me up at night
you guys are amazing!
LITERALLY just posted about this on John's channel about a week or so ago! My step son (12 yrs old) has always been into gaming (vintage AND modern). my collection would go to him... MJR got a super quick swoop through of my collection a while back in a private video invitation so he can attest that it is substantial. It'll be appreciated and live on through my step-son. It gives peace of mind knowing it will have a proper home.
Great Question and great video
4:25 literally the thumbnail
Very badass vid guys
john is my favorite guest for your channel dude. He is who i want to be if i end up collecting
hahah this was actually fairly emotional to me, John looked like he was fighting back tears. Good guy.
Dude, that got me right in the feels.
I like your channel I love it when you're friend said that u could put your collection into a museum
Damn, I can tell you saved that answer for the video, and John had no idea. John has a specific look on his face when you surprise him with things.
Wow, that was beautiful! What an honour.
this is amazing! this is how people should think about this kinda things and share those emotions!
really gonne think about what to do with my pokemon TCG collection when i'm gone tho...
You guys are great.
John legitimately was about to start crying, man metal Jesus does rock!
Your shirt is so dope Metal Jesus! 👌
You guys are awesome
Great video, and I love how genuinely touched John Hancock was. You're both awesome dudes.
While I'm here, if I could make a request....Sega Dreamcast buying guide :)
I love how we live in a time when you are you're friends have plans for our most treasured items that your parents would almost consider junk. I have a massive instrument collection and I want one in the local museum, each of my guitar playing buddies to pick one and the rest donated to a good organization
omg he was genuinely honored. that was touching.
how do you write a will for video game collection ? , do you put every game on it ? how does the will state where the collection starts and ends.
Beautiful moment
Good decision MJ!!! Rock on both of you
Hey MJR and John do you guys have inventory books to make sure you have a log of all your collection or do you just do a visual on it? thanks - Matt
This was so wholesome
slightly eery question but non the less, this was a great Metal Jesus and Immortal John Hancock vid :)
Now THIS is preservation. From a collector to another collector. Great MJR! It will really great to make a local museum ... but i think is a huge thing.
