Carol-you know I always tell you, you are the best! No one can come close to your crafting, or tutorials! Had I been at that fair, I would have bought one of every single item you made! It would be an honor for me to own something you handmade!!! Unfortunately, most people have no clue, what it takes to make a handcrafted item, unless they, themselves are crafters!!!! No one can imagine how long it takes to make a single flower or any other component!!! I see it when I try to explain to my friends how I made something, they just give me a blank stare!! Everyone loves everything, but no one wants to pay for the time it took to make the beautiful item! For this reason, I will never, sell at a craft fair. I do a lot of paper crafting, but consider myself a mini album maker. My albums are easily worth $150. or more. I was selling them for a time to a small upscale shop. The winner was only willing to pay me $60, and she was turning around and selling them for $150 plus!!!! And she sold every one I ever gave her! Needless to say, I stopped selling to her. I would rather just make my albums and give them as gifts to those who appreciate them. My feeling is it is not anything you did or didn’t do, nor how you priced. I think you should have priced much higher, for your exquisite work! I repeat, your work is absolutely stunningly gorgeous! The fault is in those who do not recognize what they are looking at! I wish you good luck for the next one. If I lived in Georgia, I would buy everything and wipe your table out within the first few minutes!❤️
Awe Lynda, you are so very sweet. You don't know how much I appreciate your kind words of encouragement. Have your support makes my love for sharing and crafting worth it!!! Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Thanks so much for your kind words. I appreciate it. It probably has to do with the economy right now. I read on a local crafting site that sales are not so good right now. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Oh Carol, I did my first and last craft show last November and had the same result. People commented how cute everything was, but they did not buy. I decided then and there that I'm only going to give the things I make, to family and friends. I did sell gift card/money holders I'd made to several grandma types and 75 Christmas tags for a church function, but that was it. What did sell was food items such as homemade jelly and candy. Your craft items are spectacular and if I'd been to your table I would have bought all kinds of things!
Oh my gosh, everyone has been so kind with their comments on this video. I appreciate your support and for letting me know your personal experience. It means so much to me that you took time to comment. I love this crafting community of ours. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
I’m shocked! Your goodies are amazing!!!! But also realize how it goes for shows. I’ve been doing them for years and it’s hit or miss. I did a four series outdoor market this summer and didn’t do well, each month a different item was popular but still didn’t sell much. I have done really well at school shows! Usually sell out!! I also do a church and also do well! I make a variety of items but only put a few out and restock as they sell, and tell those interested that I have more if they want to see. It keeps your table cleaner - not so overwhelming. Presentation is key, too. Have levels of displaying things, maybe some stacked crates or a tiered tray. Also, move things throughout the day and have different items out front and center. I also try to price items at $5 and under so they don’t think about it too much as they would once you head to the $10 mark. If I only have 2 or 3 of one thing and they are thinking about it, I tell them that’s all I have. Maybe do more of a fall theme then Halloween. At Christmas time you would do extremely well!!!!!!! For items that are filled, I keep a separate clear baggie to show what is in them. My big holiday sellers are gift card holders and anything with treats/chocolates or small gifts. Promote them as stocking stuffers and teacher gifts (if you’re at a school). Eventually, you get the repeat customers!!!! Your items will sell!!!!!! Give it a few more tries!!!! You’ll see…then you’ll be hooked on doing them!!!! Another thing…I go in with a friend so our booth cost is cut in half! We just get creative with our display so we can fit more in. I could go on and on…each show is so different and always surprises you with positives and negatives! ❤ Just so you know…I probably would have bought at least one of everything you had!!!!
Awe, you are so very sweet. Thank you for all the wonderful ideas and information. I really appreciate your taking time to comment on this video. Hope you have a terrific week. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Your crafts are ALWAYS so beautiful. I did craft shows many years ago. I think the location and presentation of your booth have a lot to do with it. I did better at some shows than others. Please hang in there. Your prices are more than fair and your work is amazing.
Thanks so much Connie for taking the time to comment on this video. I appreciate your suggestions and kind words. It means a lot to me. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Hi Carol your items are so adorable. Keep going you'll sell. You have to look at the show it self if there was not enough people and sometimes its to early. The best time to do show I found is the end of October November and the begin of Dec. I love your frames. I would put a label or a topper saying what it is or display it on a tree One suggestion i have if you trust your neighbors my friend and i did a house show we made flyers and took them to her neighbors and to people we knew we have hot cider finger foods sweets we did very well. My friend sells jewelry I took my left over paper crafts we put a sign on her lawn with balloons so they could find the house It was fun. We had it on a weekday the first year and last year was a weekend it was better on the weekday. Good luck your prices were good. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for taking time to leave helpful suggestions and comments. I appreciate your support and encouragement so very much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Carol your work is so beautiful, it is going to be a rough year, people are missing out. The only mistake you might have made, was not tripping them as they walked out of your booth.! Darn people!😊
hahaha Your comment made me laugh. I am not giving up. This happened the first time I actually did Craft Shows as a business back in 1991. You have to find the right niche. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
I am stunned! Your work is beautiful, high quality, detailed, and in my opinion, worth the prices you were asking! They would make impressive gift items! The only insight I can offer is - speaking only for myself - I am under such a financial strain due to these past couple years of much higher prices, that I have cut out pretty much all the "extras" to make ends meet. Not even going to any craft shows this year because I just can't spend the money. But I would imagine there are plenty of people still able to enjoy these kind of shows for shopping, so I pray your next one goes much better! 😊 I love your work! ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. Yes, prices are through the roof and cutting into everyones budget. I appreciate your watching, commenting, and suggestions. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Carol I have been doing craft fairs in churches for over 30 years and I have had people come to me and say they would not buy anything made of paper. They fill paper is cheap and there is not cost involved. I explained to them their is a lot of work that goes into creating paper treat gift but they don’t care. The best luck I have had are at schools. Stuff flys out the door. I love what you do I think your pricing is good. If I was there I would have purchased from you. Keep up the good work. So glad your doing your own crafts again.
Thank you so very much Sharon for your support and encouragement. It means so much to me. I appreciate your taking time from your busy day to watch and comment. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
I am so sorry it wasn't more successful of a craft fair. You are so crafty and creative, and wow the details that goes into you work!! The only thing I can think of is like you said, not to overcrowd the table next time but also I can't think of anyone that gives gifts for Halloween so your table would be one that I would be in awe of and adore all of the items, but I wouldn't have any need to purchase anything. This time of year I am only buying decorations for the various upcoming holidays, maybe some birthday gifts and starting some early Christmas gift shopping. Thank you so much for your instructive videos and good luck with your future craft shows/fairs.
Thank you so much Shelly for taking time to comment on this video. I appreciate your encouragement and support. It means the world to me. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Carol, your items are beyond BEAUTIFUL! Your attention to detail is MIND-BLOWING! Your prices for ALL the effort and work you put into each item are more than fair!!! Your items were NOT DUDS, the shoppers were! If I was at that craft show, I would have bought one of everything. Your crafts are oh-so inspiring!!! 😍
Everything is soooo great!! Tons of details in everything. I wonder if a church sale wasn't the place for Halloween stuff? If you can get into another quick sale at a community center you'd probably do much better? Anyway, you did great....it wasn't you, it was them! LOL. Thank you for sharing. Lisa
Your crafts are amazing! I just had my first craft show and it was small but the people that did show up were so sweet. If you were near me I would want everything you have!
All of your items are great!!! Don't get discouraged. Some craft fairs and places are so different, and it totally depends on what people are looking for at that particular time. Your prices are so fair.
Your products are beautiful! At one show I sold hardly anything and then the next show I almost sold out. ( same items) There really isn't a reason why an item sells well or not. It is just the way things go sometimes.
Your items are darling and definitely good quality. I have several thoughts so here goes. I think the Christmas items were just too early. It had nothing to do with the quality or style, just timing. I think some people have varying beliefs in Halloween and items in a church might be the reason why. One other idea 💡 and that is people are moving towards merchandise that can be used over and over. Had I been there I would have bought the Frankenstein, so cute!
Awe, how very sweet and heartfelt your comment is. Your suggestions are much appreciated. The overwhelming response to this video has made me love our papercrafting community even more!!! Hugs and Blessings, Carol
I used to work for Hallmark. Halloween is the bottom of sales for cards. People don't buy for Halloween. Your items are gorgeous. I'd pass on Halloween and focus on Fall, Thanksgiving and Christmas 😊
Hey Carol, everything is just gorgeous!!! I have to agree with Kathleen. I've done craft shows and had more stuff sold at highschools. It's pretty reasonable too. Tfs
Hey Carol, just wanted to share that some church craft shows don’t appreciate paper crafters. I’ve done shows for 15 years. My best ones are at open shows at fairgrounds, festivals, high schools etc. i participated in one craft show at my church for fall/harvest and it was a bust, so sad. Almost gave up my crafting altogether because of some rather rude remarks made about Halloween crafts at my table, by some in my Sunday school class . Asked my dearest friend to give me her feedback. (She buys my products all the time) Point being, some folks are uncomfortable with Halloween, in some cases. So if you can get some feedback from the folks who organize this event, they ought to be able to tell you what sells and if the show was a successful event. AND some folks go to support their friends selling at an event, but don’t buy just to create traffic for the venue. Some go just for the food, too. You ladies will find the good shows, and be very successful. Hugs❤ Btw, all of your products I love!
Hi Carol....everything you create is amazing. It is so disheartening when we as crafters know what goes into creating these things and then not to sell any...ugh. Years and years ago I did a craft show and had that same result...people were taking pictures saying how cute it all was but that's it. That is when I decided not to bother with craft shows any more. It's funny they can go say into a DT and buy crap for $1.25 and not something as lovely as what you created. Hope you have better luck with your next ventures. hugs gina
Craft fairs are so tricky. The ones at schools get alot of traffic. My kitchen hanging towels sold like crazy at one. I hear bowl koozies are also a popular item. I make them, but never tried them at craft fairs. There are probably several factors as to why things don't sell. People don't want to pay anything for paper crafts. They don't get all the work that goes into it. Your prices were spot on. And your projects are always super cute! I do believe people like Christmas crafts more. Like stocking stuffers, teacher gifts like decorated notepads, etc. Hot cocoa sleeves with a spoon and mini candy cane. Stuff like that. I would have purchased several of your items! Love it all, and appreciate your hard work! ❤ Maybe your next one will be better, as it will be a little closer to Christmas. Good luck! 🤞 Hugs 💕 Suzy
Awe, you are so sweet Suzy!!! I appreciate your feedback, suggestions, and support. It was just one of those things. I'm still going to keep going as I need to unload a bunch of stuff....hahaha Thanks for always uplifting me and complimenting my work. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Hi Carol! Everything you made was beautiful and very fair priced. I live in Salem, MA and sell at craft shows as a papercrafter and do very well with just cards, gift tags and my signature hot cocoa cards. I’d say try again!
Hi Carol. I love everything you made for your craft show. After doing craft shows for years, I have learned you never know what they will buy. I do know that fall and Halloween does not sell quite as good as Christmas. If you do a craft show on the end of October and into all of November you will sell all of your Christmas items. People are looking for inexpensive gifts for coworkers, neighbors, etc. And what you have created will sell. Schools are great craft show to do. It might take you a year or two to get your customers coming back but with what you have made you should have lots of repeat customers. Please keep me posted on your next show and please don't let one show stop you from trying again. Sending you a big hug my sweet friend. Mary Allen
I have followed you for years and your items are so adorable. There is nothing you could have done any better. It was not the presentation or the product or the price. The problem is that spring, summer and fall fairs don't sell. Most of the items that you sell would sell at twice the price if were sold at Christmas fairs. I did a spring fair once and fall fair once and never again. I wish my items were half as embellished as yours. I sell cards and have been told that they are really lovely but I look at your items and just die. Your colors and color combinations are fantastic. I can never even duplicate them. Keep up the good work!!
I think your prices are more than reasonable. And all the items are super adorable. 1. I agree with folks that church sales are hit or miss. 2. Look at it from the buyers perspective. If all your items include candy/treats, are they buying them so someone can eat the candy now? Would you purchase it and save it to give to someone at Halloween? If I were vending at a bake sale, or school fundraiser, nearer to the holiday, I think the filled and ready to gift/enjoy bag would do better. I think well ahead of a holiday, I would keep them empty, and market them as treat holders/gift card holders. Let people know they are great for a treat for teachers/friends/etc. A thought on the pencil packs-put them in a teal pumpkin and market them as “candy-alternative treats”. Just some thoughts and ideas. Buyers are a fickle lot! Best of luck the next time!
Hello Carol, Your creations are off the hook Outstanding ❤❤❤ Sell your creations on your channel I would love to buy and give for gifts👌Do you have an Etsy store? That’s a great place to sell especially around the Holidays .
Awe, how very sweet your comment is. I appreciate your support and encouragement. Your suggestion is great. I'll have to think about it. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
So the things that sold the best were like the 1-2$ range. Only thing I can think of is inflation. Holidays are coming and maybe not spending like they normally would❤
Greetings from Buffalo, NY! Thanks for the valuable info. Your items are all adorable and very detailed. You can see how much time and care you put into making them so I’m not sure why they wouldn’t sell. I only hope these little types of craft shows don’t become a thing of the past. Good luck with the next one!
Your products are amazing! Sorry to hear you sold so little on this craft show. Wishing you more luck on the next one, your stuff is really cute and not expensive ❤ big hugs, 🤗 Sandra
Everything is so beautiful. So I have done plenty of events before and sometimes people just are not buying. In my opinion, some of the items were priced high for just a few pieces of candy. Your packaging was awesome and very eye catching. Maybe just sell the packaging with the suggestion Boo'ing someone or neighbor gifts and they add their own candy or gift card or other small gift. Was there alot of people shopping? It might not have been well advertised and so there was not alot of customers. Truthfully you never know at vendor events, one year you do great the next year not so good, I wish you the best of luck in your future vendor events.
Ya know.... I know how you're feeling, I just did a craft show about 2 months ago, and no ONE except the freeze dried candy tables (there were 3 of them) made sales that day, and it was at a church. It took me awhile to get over that one, I was really disappointed, like everyone else, I guess people just aren't buying right now with everything going on, bless you're heart, I know how you feel, you're things are adorable, and I love you're channel so much. I've heard that many crafters are having hard time selling right now unfortuately.
Thanks so much for taking time to comment on this video. The overwhelming response to this video is so heartwarming. I appreciate your encouragement and support so much. It means the world to me. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Everything you make is so creative and things you don't see others make. Your papers and embellishments are always the best and your pumpkin items are such cute ones. I know that many people that I send cards too are not fans of the holiday so I usually stick with pumpkins of some kind and no creepy or scary. I think your prices are very reasonable and hoping you can find another show real soon. You probably can look to see if there are any others advertised in the next couple of weeks that you can join. For sure you should be able to find one in November to sell your cute Christmas items. With economy the way it is now many don't have extra money to spend. I love everything and would have purchased several of your beauties!
Awe, thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate your suggestions and encouragement so very much. It means the world to me. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Everything is wonderful! I would buy several of your items in a heartbeat! There's no explaining why things didn't sell - maybe people don't understand quality.❤❤❤
Carol all your items are all very nicely embellished and a lot of people do not know all the time we crafters put into our items. I have done for the first time 2 church crafts show and they ok. But the best one I do is a Christmas show case in my home and I invite family and friends for a fun shopping night and I do very very well. And no table fees! Lol!! I am sure your tricker treaters will be happy with all your fun treats!❤ just a thought you may want calculate what you spend on each item and then make your price. But I love all your items.
Thank you so much Julie for taking time to comment on this video. I appreciate your suggestions, support, and encouragement so much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Your work is outstanding. I agree with the commenter who said you should offer the option to just sell the packaging. Perhaps in bundles of 6 or 8 for favors at a Halloween party. I think it is harder to sell Halloween and fall items because people don’t tend to buy those for teacher, bus driver, teaching assistant gifts. With the economy the way it is now I think the prices on some things were a tad bit too high. The average person does not appreciate all the work you put into your creations. Best of luck on your next show.
Yes, less on table it sensory overload even though they are super cute. Perhaps remove from baskets, and place in levels. Take boxes and cover with black fabric sheet.
Your items are all adorable. Prices are good and do not reflect the time and supplies that go into them. Unfortunately I don't think people take that into account. I make many of the same things but I give them away to the senior citizens in my community. They just love them and that makes me happy.
I think your paper crafted treat holders are some of the cutest I have ever seen. Everything was absolutely beautifully made and very reasonably priced. I think maybe it was just the wrong show. I can not think of any other reason you would not have sold out.
A little addendum. Look at different craft fairs in the area if you want to continue doing fairs. I always do one at the local senior center. It is very well attended. The local high school is another great place but I have to be in the right location. One year I was in the back hall and it was a disaster. Last 2 years I was in the cafeteria and it was the bomb! So you know what they say. Location, Location, Location!!
Love all of your crafts that you made especially.. A little containers like the box ones and even the last ones that were harvest Halloween did Christmas. Wish I could have been at your craft fair. I would have gone crazy with your stuff. Use love all the colors and things you added to them.
I think all your items were so cute. I can’t believe you did not sell more. I wish I was there I would have bought some items and I started paper crafting.
Everything looks wonderful and doesn’t seem priced too high at all! How was the foot traffic at the show? I know i did a church craft show once and didn’t do well either but when i look at the show it had a large ‘yard sale’ area and that seemed to be what people were buying. Also the hot dogs were a popular purchase…lol!
Absolutely!! I hand out my little gift boxes to the children in my neighborhood every year. I love their reaction. I also post what I'm giving out on our neighborhood facebook page so they won't skip me because my house is a little out of the way. Thanks for watching. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Your work in stunning... I also craft fairs with cute treat boxes... I've found in the past that the fall shows don't pull in as much business. I mostly do late Nov early Dec with xmas stocking stuffer ideas.. The customers seem to like the cute boxes.. I advertise them as stocking stuffers, classroom , coworker grab bag gifts. Your pricing is fair..maybe try a xmas show....I'm retired also.. no day job to quit but I find it relaxing and fun to create..
Hey I think your work is amazing ,but maybe people are not looking for all the decorations but instead looking at what is actually inside.I am from Australia and I do the same sort of thing as you (exept not as good lol) Our markets are the same this year noone seems to want to buy these things.Stocking stuffers in the past were nearly always only little foody gigts and small gadgets etc but nowadays kids want all these high priced items (technical) And also people are buying from Temu and shein because of the cost of living atm. Anyway dont give up I am looking forward to seeing more of your work :)
Yes, I've noticed the same trends too. It's a tough market these days. Thanks for the encouragement, I'm going to keep creating! Thanks for watching and welcome to my channel. Happy New Year! Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Beautiful items as always! I can't see why your goodies didn't sell as well as you had hoped. Maybe if you show what is in your boxes and bags. People like to see all that they are getting. Save these items and try again!! Everything looks amazing.
Hi Carol, watched your video last night, and I don't think you did anything wrong, I suspect it was the location. Your products are top notch, and I would of bought several of your gorgeous items. Halloween can be a hard sell, price was good, in fact maybe a bit low, but consider the economy these days, could also be a factor. I really liked several of the comments here to try another location, how about a pumpkin patch for the fall and Halloween items, could be worth a try. I think church fairs are a bit more challenging, I also didn't do well at a church craft fair. It can be so disappointing. But don't give up, how about a little craft show in your home? Get a few friends together and do a small show in your home, serve some coffee, tea, soft drinks, small treats like cookies, or muffins. Could be lots of fun. Whatever don't give up, you are a fabulous crafter keep pushing forward, Good luck in the future. Always a pleasure to see your beautiful creations. 🥰🥰🥰💖💖💖
Cynthia, thank you so much for taking time from your busy schedule to comment on this video. You comments and suggestions mean the world to me. The overwhelming response to this video is so heartwarming and uplifting. I love our little papercrafting community. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Oh my I thought for sure you would hit a home run. Carol everything you do is quality and absolutely beautiful. Your prices seem very reasonable. Mayne the economy your location or in general your foot traffic. I often thought myself of doing a craft show since I am also retired, but when you put in all the time and effort and really don't sell as you should it is discouraging. You are extremely talented. Take care sweet lady.
I love all your craft items. I did a craft show at our church last year and they did not advertise. I barely sold anything and said i would not do another show. My daughter and I have gone to thrift shows and we have sold a lot on ebay. This year they told me they going to advertise. So, I am taking several boxes of things we have bought. I am crossing my fingers. If I can just sale this stuff and I have about 100 handmade cards. I'm just not sure what to sell the cards at.
It all depends on the crowd and the timing. I believe if you sold your Christmas crafts during the first weekend of December, more customers would buy. Thanks for the recap though.
Hi Carol. Everything looks super cute and professional . It's difficult for people to appreciate the time and cost of materials with paper craft I feel. I know the euro shops here in Ireland, sell on mass, which makes it harder. I used to put every item in a cello bag with the price sticker on that. ( protects all your hard work 😊) Definitely top up your items as you sell , as opposed to having everything out, as you said. Hope the next one goes better. Enjoying all your channel. Vikki
I've never done well with selling at church sales. Try checking cider mills for the Halloween and Christmas crafts. Some of them let vendors in and you pay by the day. I've done well at those. I also do better if say you are asking 4 for an item offer in at 4 or 2 for 7. Crazy I know, but it works . It's too bad your crafts are stunning!
Thank you so much Carol for taking time to comment on my video. I appreciate your support and encouragement so much. You have great suggestions! Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Honestly, Carol, your creations are gorgeous & your pricing seems very reasonable to me. It was a distressing situation for you & your family members. Hope the next one goes very well for you.
Hi Carol I’d love to know where you bought the little gift bag for? I know you mentioned you didn’t recall, but on the chances you do, please please share :) It’s at the 5:00 mark if anyone knows?? 🙏🏻 I love your items! I believe you priced very fairly. What a shame people didn’t buy, they missed out on your beautiful goodies.
Thanks so much for your sweet comment. I appreciate it so much. Another commentor was looking for that die as well. They found it on Amazon, but it said it was sold out. I have looked or it on Aliexpress for several days with no luck. Sorry I'm not more help, but if I find it I will post it here. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Ms. Carol, love all your creations! Sorry it didn’t go well but their loss. Some customers stay away from Halloween items. My booth had some rosette spider embellishments and they didn’t sell! 🤷🏻♀️ Your prices are far less considering all the work you put into it! I am really interested in knowing where you got that gift bag die, been looking for one just like that with curved handles. Please let me know if you’re able to find it! Thanks for sharing! Love everything! 🙋🏻♀️💕 Cindy~
Hi Cindy. Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. That die is an Aliexpress purchase from 5-6 years ago. I tried looking for it with no success. If I come across it, I will post here. I will keep looking. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
@@CarolsCraftCottage Thanks Ms. Carol! No worries, I found one exactly like it on Amazon but says unavailable. Thank you, I appreciate it! Hugs and blessings as well! 🙋🏻♀️💕
Carol you have many pretty pieces. I think a few may be a little over priced but I think it sounds more like a difficult show and not very good sales in general. Where you are placed in the show does make a difference. Don’t get discouraged another show might have the opposite result. It might be the show was not advertised as well as it could have been. Stay positive. Cheryl
Thank you so much for your sweet comment. Would you please be so kind to tell me which of the pieces were overpriced. That would certainly help me in the future. Thanks so much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
All of your items are so cute surprised they didn't sell, you just never know what people will buy. Just wondering if you ever buy black glitter paper, I am having trouble finding a pad of it. I ordered some from amazon and it was awful. Any suggestions?
Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. I appreciate it so much. The only time I have ever seen Black Glitter paper was at Michael's years ago. It was a chunky glitter too! I haven't seen any since. If I ever see some, I'll come back here to let you know. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
I'm so very sorry but it is no longer available. One of my commentors found it on Amazon but it is out-of-stock. If I ever come across one, I will post it on this video. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
I sold lots of lower priced Halloween treat holders. I'm not sure the attendance. But thanks for commenting and watching. I appreciate it. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Unfortunately people don’t realize how much time goes into each of these items….and we never get paid for our time! I think you really were at the wrong place to sell. Your items were priced very reasonable. Please try another craft show. 😀❤️
I can tell you right away that ALL of your items are absolutely precious, but I think they didn't sell because you actually overdecorated them and priced accordingly, but it was way too high for a church craft fair. Unless you live in an urban area where prices are very high in everything, and salaries are high, your products were overpriced. We have to remember to price things for a craft fair, not a retail outlet. People don't want to pay high prices, even for great quality items, such as yours are. Your items are definitely gorgeous, but people don't pay us by it's beauty, they pay us according to what the market will support in the area. Save your exquisitely decorated items for friends and family gifts, and don't be so intricate in your decorations for craft fair items. I wish you the best of luck in the future. You'll get the hang of it. Don't be discouraged. You do excellent work, dear.
I’m amazed that your beautiful treats didn’t sell, especially at the rock bottom prices you offered. I agree with another commenter that said you would do better in a different venue. I don’t believe your success (or lack thereof) has anything to do with the quality and beauty of your makes. As a Christian, I think maybe Halloween items may not go over in a church setting even though your creations are amazing. I love a bargain, but I believe your items are priced too low.
Thank you so very much for your feedback and encouragement and support of the craft that is so dear to my heart. The overwhelming response to this video is heartwarming. I appreciate your taking the time to comment! Hugs and Blessings, Carol
The prices are perfect! And I love the galvanized display ! Your crafts are amazing! Please don't ever give up! Your my inspiration!
Thank you so much. I appreciate your kind words and encouragement so very much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol

Hi Carol, your projects are all so beautiful. I can't believe that no one wanted to buy them. Thanks for sharing.😀❤
Carol, everything is gorgeous. So much work and detail went into your crafts.
I’ve never done a craft show so I’ll be watching your comments. 💕🌺
Thank you so very much Debra. I appreciate your commenting on this video.
I’m so sorry you didn’t do so well. I would have bought everything you showed. I’m always in awe of your work. ❤
Thank you so much! I appreciate your encouragement and support.
Thank you so much! You are so kind. Really appreciate it. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Everything is soooo great!! Tons of details in everything. I wonder if a church sale wasn't the place for Halloween stuff? If you can get into another quick sale at a community center you'd probably do much better? Anyway, you did great....it wasn't you, it was them! LOL. Thank you for sharing.
Lisa
Thank you so much Lisa for your kind words. I appreciate your encouragement and support so very much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Your crafts are amazing! I just had my first craft show and it was small but the people that did show up were so sweet. If you were near me I would want everything you have!
Awe, thank you for your kind words. I appreciate it so much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
All of your items are great!!! Don't get discouraged. Some craft fairs and places are so different, and it totally depends on what people are looking for at that particular time. Your prices are so fair.
Thank you ever so much Susan. I appreciate your encouragement and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Everything is delightful & so professionally made.. I see a lot of beautiful papercrafting here.
Thank you so much, I appreciate your kind words. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Your products are beautiful! At one show I sold hardly anything and then the next show I almost sold out. ( same items) There really isn't a reason why an item sells well or not. It is just the way things go sometimes.
Thanks so much. I appreciate your encouragement and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Your items are so beautiful and your prices seem very reasonable! I can't imagine why people didn't purchase piles of items!!
Thank you Bonnie for taking time to comment on my video. I appreciate your support and encouragement so much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
I used to work for Hallmark. Halloween is the bottom of sales for cards. People don't buy for Halloween. Your items are gorgeous. I'd pass on Halloween and focus on Fall, Thanksgiving and Christmas 😊
Thank you so much Kimberly for taking time to comment on this video. I appreciate your suggestions and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Hey Carol, everything is just gorgeous!!! I have to agree with Kathleen. I've done craft shows and had more stuff sold at highschools. It's pretty reasonable too. Tfs
Thank you so much. I appreciate your suggestions and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Agree!! All projects are cuute!!
Agree, unfortunately wrong market place. It’s happened to me. Much more luck at outdoor fairs.
I love all of Carol’s creations. My church doesn’t allow Halloween crafts at their fayres.
Thank you so much for your feedback and suggestions. We will keep trying. I appreciate your support and encouragement. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Hope you have better luck with your next ventures.
hugs
gina
It’s crazy isn’t it how folks spend in the stores but won’t buy from crafts making lovely unique designs.
Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. I appreciate it so very much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Maybe your next one will be better, as it will be a little closer to Christmas. Good luck! 🤞
Hugs 💕 Suzy
Awe, you are so sweet Suzy!!! I appreciate your feedback, suggestions, and support. It was just one of those things. I'm still going to keep going as I need to unload a bunch of stuff....hahaha Thanks for always uplifting me and complimenting my work. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Hi Carol! Everything you made was beautiful and very fair priced. I live in Salem, MA and sell at craft shows as a papercrafter and do very well with just cards, gift tags and my signature hot cocoa cards. I’d say try again!
Thanks for sharing!! Thanks for sharing. I appreciate your encouragement. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Mary Allen
Thank you so very much for your kind words and encouragement. I appreciate your suggestions and advice so very much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Awe, you are very sweet. Your kind words and encouragement is very much appreciated. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Thank you for your wonderful suggestions and comments. I appreciate your support and encouragement so very much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
I wouldn't have been able to resist any of it!! I think your prices were great, even on the low side. Loved all of it.
Thanks so much! I appreciate your support and encouragement. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Hello Carol,
Your creations are off the hook Outstanding ❤❤❤ Sell your creations on your channel I would love to buy and give for gifts👌Do you have an Etsy store? That’s a great place to sell especially around the Holidays .
Awe, how very sweet your comment is. I appreciate your support and encouragement. Your suggestion is great. I'll have to think about it. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
So the things that sold the best were like the 1-2$ range. Only thing I can think of is inflation. Holidays are coming and maybe not spending like they normally would❤
Hey Toni!!! Thanks so much for commenting on this video. I appreciate your encouragement and support so very much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Thanks so much for your kind words and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Your products are amazing! Sorry to hear you sold so little on this craft show. Wishing you more luck on the next one, your stuff is really cute and not expensive ❤ big hugs, 🤗 Sandra
Thanks so much Sandra. I appreciate your encouragement and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Prices Not too high 😊 beautiful crafting 😊 wish you the best ❤
Thank you! 😊 Appreciate your feedback and comment. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Oh wow! I can't believe it didnt go better. I've seen a lady walk into a craft sale and almost clear a table of treat boxes. She was a school teacher
I'll buy some!
Thanks so much Gaylin!!! I'm not giving up yet.....lol I appreciate your encouragement and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
lol-that's not necessary, But I do appreciate it my friend!!!!!
Thank you so much for commenting with tips and suggestions. I appreciate it very much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Everything is so cute. Hop .your next adventure goes better.
Thank so much Karen. I appreciate your support so much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Such cute things! Any cheaper it feels like you would be giving it away.
Thank you so much! Yes, your right. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Everything is wonderful! I would buy several of your items in a heartbeat! There's no explaining why things didn't sell - maybe people don't understand quality.❤❤❤
Thank you so much. I appreciate your kind words, support, and encouragement so much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Love your creations, and they were well priced. Just wrong crowd. 😊
Thank you so much for commenting on this video. I appreciate your encouragement and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
You did an amazing job!! Don’t give up!
Awe, thanks so much Henrietta. I appreciate your support.
Thank you so very much for your helpful tips. I appreciate your support and encouragement. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
😢 I'm terrible at selling and that's why I don't bother anymore ... your stuff is gorgeous and I would have been broke on your table 😜
Awe, thanks so much for your kind words and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Yes, less on table it sensory overload even though they are super cute. Perhaps remove from baskets, and place in levels. Take boxes and cover with black fabric sheet.
Thanks so much for the suggestions and comment. I appreciate it so much! Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Your items are all adorable. Prices are good and do not reflect the time and supplies that go into them. Unfortunately I don't think people take that into account. I make many of the same things but I give them away to the senior citizens in my community. They just love them and that makes me happy.
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. I appreciate it so much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Hi sweet Carol
Awe your Halloween projects came out super super cute 🖤🖤
Thanks so much Gina. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
A lot of adorable items! I've not had much luck selling at craft fairs so no good advice from me LOL.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your commenting. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
I think your paper crafted treat holders are some of the cutest I have ever seen. Everything was absolutely beautifully made and very reasonably priced. I think maybe it was just the wrong show. I can not think of any other reason you would not have sold out.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your encouragement and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Wow I'm surprised your items didn't sell very fair prices and beautiful work..I think it was just location...
Thank you so very much. I appreciate your encouragement. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Carol, don't give up!! Your items are all great! Hopefully your next craft fair will go better!!
Awe, thank you so much Lillian for your encouragement and support. I appreciate it so much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Wow! Your items are so super cute! Sorry you didn't sell more!
Thanks so much. I appreciate your comment and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Thank you so much for these great ideas. I appreciate it so much! Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Love all of your crafts that you made especially.. A little containers like the box ones and even the last ones that were harvest Halloween did Christmas. Wish I could have been at your craft fair. I would have gone crazy with your stuff. Use love all the colors and things you added to them.
Thanks so much for your encouragement and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
I think all your items were so cute. I can’t believe you did not sell more. I wish I was there I would have bought some items and I started paper crafting.
Thanks so much for your kind words and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Thanks so much for your support and encouragement. Sooner or later we will find the perfect venue!!! Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Gorgeous items and I’m sure the local children will appreciate them for Halloween if you’re giving out to trick or treaters?
Oh thank you! I appreciate your tips and suggestions. Thanks for your support and encouragement. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Thank you so very much. I appreciate your suggestions and encouragement. Hugs and Blessiings, Carool
Wow I am so sorry to hear that your things didn’t sell hopefully you can find another fair where you will do better. I know how much work you did
Thank you so very much. I appreciate your encouragement. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Thank you so much for your kind words and support. Your encouragement means the worlds. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Thank you so much for your encouragement and support. I wish you lots of luck on your selling adventures. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
It all depends on the crowd and the timing. I believe if you sold your Christmas crafts during the first weekend of December, more customers would buy. Thanks for the recap though.
Thanks for the tips! I appreciate your encouragement and support. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Hi Carol. Everything looks super cute and professional .
It's difficult for people to appreciate the time and cost of materials with paper craft I feel.
I know the euro shops here in Ireland, sell on mass, which makes it harder.
I used to put every item in a cello bag with the price sticker on that. ( protects all your hard work 😊)
Definitely top up your items as you sell , as opposed to having everything out, as you said.
Hope the next one goes better. Enjoying all your channel. Vikki
Thank you so much for the tips and suggestions. I appreciate your support and encouragement. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Thank you so much! I appreciate your encouragement. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Hi Carol I’d love to know where you bought the little gift bag for?
I know you mentioned you didn’t recall, but on the chances you do, please please share :) It’s at the 5:00 mark if anyone knows?? 🙏🏻
I love your items!
Soooo much cute stuff. I don’t have experience with craft shows, so no advice but I hope you do better next time.
Thanks so much. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
I think everything you made was beautiful. I don't think you were priced too high e.
Thanks so much Anita. I appreciate your comment and feedback so much.
Do you remember where you got some of your dies from
Most are from Aliexpress. The little gift bag is unavailable. Someone has helped me look for that one and it is out of stock.
What dies did you use for the little handled boxes.
I'm so very sorry but it is no longer available. One of my commentors found it on Amazon but it is out-of-stock. If I ever come across one, I will post it on this video. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
What did sell well for you? Did you think it was well attended?
I sold lots of lower priced Halloween treat holders. I'm not sure the attendance. But thanks for commenting and watching. I appreciate it. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Unfortunately people don’t realize how much time goes into each of these items….and we never get paid for our time! I think you really were at the wrong place to sell. Your items were priced very reasonable. Please try another craft show. 😀❤️
Thanks so much for your encouragement. I appreciate your watching and commenting. Hugs and Blessings, Carol
Your prices aren't too high. It's partly due to inflation. People are spending less these days
Thank so much for watching. I appreciate your feedback.Hugs and Blessings, Carol
