- In this opening episode of season 2 of Darren Wilson's Adventures With God series, Darren and his crew travel to New York City to find a homeless person to bless. Along the way they meet up with the band, Big Daddy Weave, and they have no idea the suprises that are in store. This is Part 1 of 2.
God told me to specifically go pray for people in downtown St. Louis. I went down there and waited for God to do something.. to show me who he wanted me to pray for. I kid you not... three homeless people walked up to me and said, "Will you pray for us?" I was blown away!! God told me to go pray and I obeyed. He brought the people right to me when I went down there. I did not ask anyone if I could pray for them and I had no sign. They simply walked up to me. God is awesome!

If you ever wondered if your helping anyone doing these videos KNOW THAT you have changed and improved my life drastically with these videos that answer some very difficult christian questions that were having me in a rut for a long Time. Imagine if everywhere this was a daily occurrence...imagine if we DID what Jesus said to do...John 13:15 it's my prayer that Holy Spirit move on our hearts to be believers that exemplify authentic love of God to everyone, everywhere we go.
When Darren said "we all need Hope" to me that's what the intention of what Holy Spirit is teaching in this video .Jesus traveled out of His way.He gave Hope to US how had no Hope.This enlarged my Heart. I`ve been very close to were this man is. There is people out there waiting for Us. or Just for You because Jesus can trust You .To Represent.

I don't get the cameras tho. What about Matthew 6? Not doing your alms in front of people because Jesus says you have already received your reward from doing it in front of others. Anytime we do ANYTHING in God's name, we should not even wait to receive a thank you because it's NOT FOR OR FROM US

That was not the intention of this video, and when Jesus was talking there, His whole point was examining the intentions of the heart. There is nothing more inspiring and activating than seeing something done as an example, so this video is wondering to see "love in action."
whitehatonthebeach yes Jesus ALWAYS looks at the heart and one way for us to discern the heart is by seeing some actions that Jesus called out in scripture. Filming a homeless man while buying him stuff is one of those actions. I'm glad you were inspired and touched by this but I feel like that same effect could have taken place if no camera was there and a simple testimony or sermon concerning the matter was preached. At the end of the day, God's word is all we need to be touched moved and changed

God spoke to Darren about James because he knew the state James was in. Darren extended the invitation, but James had to exercise his free will and show up :). The Lord particularly highlighted him, but James needed to show up to receive what God was giving him. If he didn't, it was going to be easy enough to bless someone else and that wouldn't have been a problem either.

I don't even want to listen to someone say how to deal with the poor. I was poor and homeless. If you want to know how to deal with the poor, ask someone who was poor. Because you think you are doing such a good deed by buying a Big Mac for someone when there are other needs that don't get addressed.
