Hey there charles! Yes, indeed the crappie was hanging right at the drop off. I went from 6 ft and the drop off was right at 10 to 14 ft of water. I was fishing the lay downs that where in the water!! Them crappie were hanging around to catch their food. The water temp was 75 degrees... Thanks for the support and thanks for leaving a comment. Hello there! The spinning reel I use is the Piscifun 1000 Viper X Its a very light weight and can hold its ground with big fish! I wouldn't go smaller than 1000. I use the 2000 for for 7.6ft rod. This rod is in this video is a 10ft. rod with the 1000 Spinning Reel. The jigs i use is from this guy named on youtube is The Crappie Kidd. Contact him on his channel and let him know you are wanting plastic jigs. He will get back to you and then you can tell him you saw Domingo using his baits and you want some. Just tell him what colores you want. Just make sure you tell him Domingo sent you. Have a great day. I will contact him and let him know you are interested in his jigs. The jig head and hook I use i buy them from Ebay. They are #4 red sickle hooks. I buy them without the collar because I make my own hand ties too so those jigs have no collar but you can get them with the collar if you like. Here in this part of the Texas where I fish these crappies are some nice crappies! I know that other lakes have bigger crappie and one day I will get that chance to go out and fish those nice waters but for now I am just trying to make it and fish the lakes that are closer to me. I hear that Lake Fork has the biggest crappie but It's just what I hear. Maybe one day I will get out there and fish those waters.
