Best tiles they have ever used. I also like they used different tiles for the shower than the kitchen. Nice, will not look outdated in 10 years and dwellers will not tire of the decor.
Love it as well. It is a neutral that will blend with any decor. The kitchen and bath tile were different but also related to each other which is nice.
@@angelbulldog4934 Nothing like a color that clashes with buyers' furnishings to add to resale value. That said the green tile had a cheerful cottage funky-ness that is hard to duplicate.
The kitchen is one of the most beautiful kitchens I have ever seen. It looks so classy and high end and I can see why the thieves stole it. Inside job?
They were fine in this instance. This is a mid-century modern cottage and the other touches built on that. Adding other columns would have given it a different vibe...
UGH!!! Saying "ADU" like everyone knows what that is. I had to look it up! - - I like it when they buy houses on large lots. The backyard was really large for a 2/1 house. I do not understand that dip in the counter in the kitchen. What was that about?
Should have selectively kept more greenery. The new flowers needed time to establish and instead look spindly. Exterior looks fresh and crisp. Interior is nice but would have oriented the tile on the FP the other way. The green kitchen tiles before did have a cute funkiness that is hard to replace. The bath redo is super and love that tile. By adding a slope to the back yard they may be contributing to future house flooding. They could have put in a pergola or something to add some needed shade to the backyard.
Very nice makeover. Good call to replace the roof. But, the tile being stolen from the garage and Christina repeatedly saying, “I can’t hear you, Tarek,” due to the traffic noise, are not very good advertisements for the property. Their good planning and quick work saved them this time, but this would be a tougher sell in a down market.
Yeah they did! To be honest, I wasn’t expecting them to make that much of a return on investment as they did, but yeah, you’re right. It would sell for a lot more now especially with the ADU completed. Lol.
I really think you guys should start up by installing house security first before starting your projects or get a house security company to sponsor it for you. :)
What makes you think it wasn't locked? I remember seeing another episode where they got robbed and the lock had been cut. Someone above suggested it might have been an inside job, which is totally possible.
J’adore la plupart des rénovations que vous communiquer mais j’ai vue à quel que reprise une vue sur la cuisinière du salon selon moi c’est pas une vue agréable
Always put the backsplash up first if you can't don't store it in any garage in that area where was get broken into all the break-ins would have been hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years
There are plenty of people wanting to downsize after kids move out and quite a few making big bucks that haven't started families yet or don't want kids. Two bedrooms, especially the nice ones, move fairly quick where I live.
They couldn't make the garage into an ADU. But there was an attached garage on the other side of the house - and the house was small and they wanted more space. Why didn't they incorporate the attached garage into the house for more space? The rest of the house is great, but I don't get their reasoning here.
Is it just me or do they change things that don't need to be changed and things that need minor fixing they completely redo just for the show to have a more dramatic before and after
@@janetchickey3577 so it seems. They really went through the trouble of stealing something heavy and expensive. Who recognises that during a run of the mill burglary??
It doesn't mean the thief was from that neighborhood. Sometimes thieves will drive around looking for homes being remodeled. Someone above suggested it could have been an inside job, which is possible.
@@VioletJoy usually they look for construction sites to steal the tools, at least over here. But the information provided by Michelle gives additional insight: it is probably lucrative to take anything that is sellable in an expensive area.
I would've removed that second garage in the back. It would've looked way better. they would've had a ginormous back yard. but instead they have a giant driveway intruding in back yard for a second garage they dont need. But then again they probably sold it as "ADU permitted" which likely helped justify the price
I think it stands for additional dwelling unit, or something like that. I can't remember for sure because on the East Coast where I live, I never heard the term.
Besides liking the green tile, which is the same as what I have now except it's yellow-and I prefer green- I just don't see the need to tear out perfectly good wood cabinets. The kitchen looked nice and updated. Too much throwing away of perfectly good things.
The economy will crash soon and the world will move into digital money. Not a good time to be in debt. I don't know when this was filmed, but at this moment I have only standard monthly bills and groceries. No way I would go into debt!

Far as I'm concerned, gray was dead over 25 years ago. I'm ready for something fresh and different.

Very cute. The roof is so much better and I love the blue door. Gorgeous kitchen!!! So glad they didn’t use boring white subway tiles.
Another great Christina and Tarek flip. Light and bright !
would have changed those metal 'columns' on the front porch
They were fine in this instance. This is a mid-century modern cottage and the other touches built on that. Adding other columns would have given it a different vibe...
I adore the Mid-centry vibe, but I agree with Ms. Mary. I'm definitely not a fan of those columns..at all.
I think a big negative--at least for me--is that the house is on such a busy street.
You could hear the cars in the back.
It's a TOTAL negative.
That would be a deal breaker for me
Been through that before and it was a nightmare. Never again. Country living for decades 😊

The dip is because there’s a window there. They probably should have removed that window or made it smaller, so that there’s no dip.
Definitely the cozyest and most peacefully inviting looking of the houses I've seen these two do!
Christina walking right by Tarek is so funny 😂 the contractor not recognizing him either has me dying
He's channeling his face inner Adam Levine circa "Animals"

Metal porch post dates the whole front IMO. Replacing it with solid post would have cost nothing.
Yeah I’d agree with you on that. The fact that they didn’t replace them was ghetto. Lol.

love this Show
beautiful home, cozy
I do like the original retro kitchen would have been nice with red and white chequered floors are really expensive linoleum 50s floor
"6 months to a year" it only takes that long in California.
And where else can you buy a 3/2 with a pool for 700,000$.? There prices are so far out there.
California: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Magical
Insane that someone bought this for $850…. Wow. Couldn’t imagine a small home like that selling for that.
Not to mention the freeway out front, glad I left California a long time ago
Where I live a home costing 850 would literally be a MANSION
California. What a hot mess.
This was a insane profit margin
I don't mind the apricot boards but I'm sure she'll do it Grey
Patrick and SpongeBob making an appearance at 7:32 😄
Lol

I love Christina and Tariq. I wish if they can again live together forever. They make a wonderful couple. Best wishes for both.
No building insurance to cover the tiles?
They probably carry a high deductible and every claim raises your rates.
I’m not a fan of the wooden fence above and behind the concrete wall in the front yard. It looks strange.
“Thank yow” 😂

so funny super cutess
Of course these guys have insurance so the tile wasn't much of a loss except for the deductable.
That's what criminals also say when they justify their theft...
so funny your wife passing by,but still its cuteee

It's 22 miles as the crow flies from Yorba Linda to the nearest beach. Why keep showing beach scenes? Show freeways and tile thieves.....
Very bad acting. And Christina looks anorexic. Poor think.
