Classical music. This was one of the very first pieces of music I listened to at a live symphony concert in 1972, and have been fascinated by this oveture.

Anacreon & Medea & Der Wassertrager are three of my most beloved Cherubini's operas. I do Have its Audio recording under the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under Maestro Herbert Von Narayan recorded on a cassette through radio programme.

I first heard this in 1971 on an old 78 and have always had a fondness for the work. It is remarkably forward looking given its date (Haydn was still alive). Only Beethoven was writing such assured dramatic work at that date. No wonder Beethoven admired Cherubini

This still as always a timeless classic.
