I was there in the audience that night and Stewart was phenomenal. He's easily the best stand-up I've seen live. As for the people who complain about him being woke, so what? It doesn't matter if a comedian is woke or not. If they're funny, they're funny, and Stewart Lee is definitely funny.
@Randy marsh He's one of those bellends that tries to de-platform people with different opinions to him and he has that liberal elite superiority complex that annoys a lot of people. That being said, he is a brilliant comedian and I love how provocative and confrontational he can be with his audiences. I saw him perform live just before the pandemic and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to.
@Randy marsh recently I've seen people arguing that criticising historical paedophilia is "woke nonsense" so I think it's probably time to give it up as a lost cause
He is too good for a lot of people. Too smart and too subtle for them to find funny. His timing and delivery for me is second to none. Glad to see it was received well across the pond.
Never seen anyone from across the pond reacting to Stewart Lee but his humour clearly travels well. I've seen him live 3 times and, apart from being THE funniest comedian I've ever seen, after each show he stands near the merch stall and signs stuff and chats away to anyone who engages him. This show, Carpet Remnant World, is a masterpiece from start to finish and, though he always divides the audience into two camps as part of his act, this one was particularly funny. Getting stoned first always helps one flow into Stu's hilarious, biting, clever world of fun!
My favourite is 41st best comedian 🍻 the Tom O'connor bit had me on the floor laughing, only seen him once on the Snowflake/Tornado tour but hoping to see him in a few weeks at Manchester something or other 😜

Have you told your son Jeremy about how Stew is performance art/jazz/conceptually revolutionary? You really should take Jeremy to see Stew - before he dies, etc,
Well Done Guys. Stewart Lee-Braveheart is a must and very bold and typical of Stewart to go into The Lions Den of Glasgow and perform his "Braveheart" routine all about The Scots. One tip about Stewart. He is so confident or self-assured (or just does not care) that with 99% of comedian sketches and gigs the camera pans in on the audience roaring with laughter but Stewart does the OPPOSITE and makes sure the camera operator highlights anyone NOT laughing or even leaving to go the bathroom. He, also, loves to "pretend" to divide his audience between the lower tiers(who are ardent fans) and the Upper Tier, who have come at random, and even uses the Fourth Wall to chat, while on stage, to an unseen audience at home. :)
You know, I never noticed that about the camera shots! Another testament to his general amazingness. Saw him twice. First time I took a thermos full of highly-diluted lemon cordial and asked him if he wanted a cup. He gladly accepted before asking; "You haven't spiked this with some sort of experimental psychedelic drug that's going to give me a psychotic break, have you? Am I going to be living in a hedge on Clapham Common for the rest of my days and only gonna be able to sleep standing up?! I'm going to turn into one of those vaguely threatening, copiously-bearded old gents you see on the tube muttering about socialism, aren't I?!?" I mean the performance he did of the famous French song called "SOS D'un Terrien en Détresse", when he participated in the famous Chinese reality show The Singer in that year 2017 ... With that performance Dimash earned the reputation of being the best singer on the planet, so I recommend you start with that one...You have to be prepared because you are likely to receive a flood of views, comments and new subscribers....And I have to give you a warning: Never react to The World Best videos, because they deceived him and treated him very badly.!...I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Dimash....Here you have the best high quality video of Dimash performing S.O.S. Live 2017.....ua-cam.com/video/bDX3FhmyNac/v-deo.html

Leave the chickens out of this! It’s the West Bin Laden had issues with!
The husband knows what's up
You should watch Jungle Canyon Rope Bridges. He goes on for ages its really funny but a bit UK centric.
You guys should react to some Guz Khan :)
He's a British comedian.
Legend
Nothing can convince me those aren't real quotes, especially as one was clearly written by lizzo
Osama Bin Laden has let himself go.

@@Isleofskye You think? Seems you've ruled yourself out of contention.
@@nathanadler1452 I try not to think as my 68-year-old experience tells me that it never ends well...
Infinitely more intelligent and informed than you or anyone you listen to
@@willywonka7812 He is not more intelligent than Andy Bradbury and I listen to him so you are wrong...
Stewart Lee is so clever. Our most under rated comedian.
If you do Stewart Lee again I may never like again , but not unsubscribe as I like curvey Canadian redheads xx
Stewart Lee appeals to the low-information and politically uninformed crowd in the UK. He isn't taken seriously as a comedian.
I see what you did there.
Lolol
Cannot, for the life of me, see the point of this.
I didn't laugh. But I agreed the fuck out of it
Wat a load of crap he talks
