For anyone watching, the video review is for the Shure Aonic 215, Gen 2 (Tw2). He doesn't mention in the video. The TW2 version is shown at the 5m19s point when the app is displayed. I find the reviewer's issue with inserting the earbuds more of a user issue. It sounds as the reviewer has never used IEMs before and as a result comes off as inept. IEMs are simple to be inserted with one hand. Step 1: Insert earbud in ear canal, Step 2: rotate earbud with corkscrew motion backward into canal, Step 3: fix loop over ear. Really simple, it's that easy. Reviewer could have, you know, looked at a UA-cam video.
Been using the se215 for years. They all have the same problem though. The right earbud stops working. Warranty fixes it but I'm guessing the aonic was made to fix this problem. I recommend the tri flange earplugs. You just push them in your ear and they make a perfect noise cancelling effect with minimal effort
Busy light. Love that. I had some sure in ear monitors and I lost them when I started using wireless day to day. Gotta find them. But what about the mic? Bluetooth earphones mics always sound horrible. Especially compared to the iPhones built in mic.
I agree that the mics are always the weak point on true in-ear wireless earbuds. If I have to be on a call where my voice quality is really important, I'll grab some gamer headphones: Those boom mics an inch from your mouth sound 100x better than the more discrete earbuds.
I had the Sennheiser TW2's But some piece of subhuman trash decided that it wanted to pop the lock out of my van, rummage through it and steal them while I was at a NYE party. (I had them in a laptop bag, inside my overnight duffel) I WAS going to replace them, the price of them just suddenly jumped up by 100 dollars. So I'm looking for alternatives. I am strongly considering the Gen 2 of these. The earhook design is not an issue for me since I already use KZ ZSN Pro-X wired IEMs. But one thing I have heard about the Aonics is that at a point near the MMCX connectors, it can fail due to repeated flexing (due to rough handling by pulling them out by the buds rather than handling them by the adapters as they are seemingly clipped into the case near the bulbous end of the BT modules. So some tender handling dwhile putting them on or putting them into or out of the case would be advised. Tip: When inserting in-ears, it may help to gently tug upward and slightly rearward on your ear while inserting the buds. (Reach over your head with your opposite hand and tug on your ear just rearward of the top) This opens up the end of the ear canal just a bit. This method has been recommended for using rolled foam earplugs, and I found it works with earbuds as well.

Took 2 seconds to put them in ffs
And once they're in, they stay in until you want them out
Sound is very bad for the price. Fit and soundisolation is very good.
What music and audio sources were you using? I'm surprised to hear about your experience.
