Well, they do if you don t get quick medical attention. Han Solo and Qui Gonn didn t instantly die either (Han died of the fall and Qui Gonn lasted for a while until obi wan defeated maul). Ahsoka was right next to Sabine and was able to help her immediately

I really think people forget that, other than characters who specifically hunt Jedi, trying to fight a force wielder without the force is practically suicidal.
And this is WITHOUT speaking on absolute monsters like Mace Windu or Vader. The average Jedi is fast enough to deflect lasers and fight off entire hit squads solo.

Everyone talking about the stabbings being survived but frankly I don't think that is nearly as bad as the fact that ''Jedi Master Indara'' lost this fight at all.
Like, are you actually joking? I could understand if this was a padawan.. A newly appointed knight even, fresh out of the trials.
But a jedi master with decades of experience beaten by a distraction knife? Are you fucking joking me? Are jedi just pathetically weak now? Do you seriously expect me to believe a fucking jedi master doesn't have the coordination to hold something with the force with one hand and deflect a kuni with the other hand holding the lightsaber?
This is genuinely sad, apparently a jedi master is the equivalent of the village guard captain who is slightly better in a fist fight than the drunkard tavern brawler. I guess jedi cant sense things anymore either because all it takes is to have a GASP SECOND KNIFE to catch a jedi off guard and kill them.
Yep well said even in obi wan series ep 4, obi wan also could one hand use the force holding the windows against water pressure, at the same time holding the lightsaber to deflect the blasters. So no excuses.

They just don't care about logic or creativity with how Disney handles combat and character deaths. She's a Jedi Master. It shouldn't take any effort to brush aside a small throwing knife or sense that another one is being thrown at you. The writers Disney hires are just incapable of thinking hard enough to find a smart way to kill off characters who are supposed to really hard to kill.
This made Jedi like a fool. Easy to kill just like normal people. Can’t even dodge a throwing knife? Come on what Jedi’s sense is that. Don’t say you are a master.
Yes just like how a council of the most powerful jedi sensed that Palpatine was an evil sith lord playing the strings of both sides of the Clone Wars! Oh wait, they didn’t know that. Thats because force sensitive people can block others from sensing their actions or presence. I’m sure Mae blocked the Master from being able to sense her throwing the dagger.

She couldn't flick the knife away and immediately return her focus to her opponent? If Mae was resisting her attempt to knock it away, Mae was strong enough to overcome that AND disguise her intent to throw another dagger at the same time? So you're saying Mae was just way stronger than a Jedi Master?

@@darkphoenix2 well it’s similar to how Palpatine wasn’t stronger than all the jedi’s present in the temple, that’s why he had them fighting in the clone wars. that’s why they couldn’t sense his presence. i don’t think her being able to block the force for a split second is her being stronger than the Master, that’s exactly why she had to catch her off guard. The Master was beating Mae so as a last resort she distracted her.
@@fibs6267No it’s really not, Palpatine is the strongest Sith in living memory besides Vader. His situation depended on the Clone Wars and the Jedi already going down a dark path. Let’s not forget he was passive for most of Clone Wars as to not raise suspicion. This is an active battle between a Jedi “Master” and a force sensitive assassin. Let’s not forget that a mere moment ago said assassin declared her intent to kill her. There is no way you can get me to believe she couldn’t sense that, especially when they never explained it in anyway. Equating that to Palpatine’s deception is a false equivalency.

This show really brings out the idea that the Jedi were like the X-Men of their galaxy - tasked with policing gifted individuals, inducting them to work as either law enforcers themselves or consigning them to menial work away from the general public. From this point of view the Sith and other Darksiders were just Force users who rebelled against the idea of becoming the Republic's slaves.

Why Kylo Ren stopping a laser with the force continue its movement after he release his power, and here the knife falls on the ground? She could also have just diverted her trajectory and stayed focused on the fight. Plus, wow, if she was a master at the time where the Jedi were supposed to be at their best. Nice seeing Carrie Anne Moss again (Great talent) and the fight scene was fair by both actors, BUT martial arts has never been scripted as the JEDI way. Jedi are more or less like ancient Samurai who have an uncanny ability with the Force. Carrie's character had full control of this scene at every turn and should have easily been the victor watching the action. Why she was WRITTEN in to lose the contest is beyond me but there should have been more.

@@OTOVOXThanks, I loved the scene. I'm not however optimistic for the series. They killed off Carrie Anne Moss's character to damn fast for my taste though. Leslye Headland sucks at storing telling (Just like JJ Abrams) They have a decent eye for scenes, but lack the ability to link them into a coherent story. They're enjoying their 15 minutes of fame however. To Bad because the show (Just like Ahsoka) had potential.

She tried multiple times to get her lightsaber, but after killing her just leaves it there? Hell the value of a lightsaber on the black market alone I imagine warrants taking a few seconds to stop and grab it. Also this fight was stupid, she has a lightsaber! Just turn it on and hit her with it! Obi Wan had no qualms about cutting someone's arm off in bars.

This was a great fight. The choreography, the sound design, the kinetic energy it was all great. There's also an interesting dichotomy between the Mae and Indara. Who's really controlling the fight? The skill difference favors Indara but Mae is able to manipulate Indara throughout the fight; forcing Indara to engage, force her to pursue Mae upstairs, forcing Indara to go on the offensive and ultimately forcing Indara to drop her guard.
In the beginning both women are holding back; Indara isn't even advancing and Mae hasn't even pulled her blades yet. By the end Mae is using force blasts and ranged attacks and Indara draws her saber. There is steady escalation of tactics and intensity.
Well done all around.

Was watching to decide if I’ll watch the series as i lost trust in starwars. I will not. That was lame. The actor was great but died very lame and unbelievably. Also if i was playing kotr i would not leave a saber on the ground. How is it realistic to leave a powerful weapon like that on the floor. Or maybe it’s because knives are now more powerful than sabers.

@@axotrotel8388For a good few fans, it is actually! Scene 38 Reimagined, and Maul: Apprentice come to mind, they have FAR better choreography than ANYTHING Disney has made. I've only seen the 2 fan films mentioned above, but I'm sure I can find more that at least do better than Disney.

This is the problem with Star Wars nowadays, we expect characters to survive usually fatal strikes since so many mfers have been STABBED THROUGH THE CHEST WITH A FKN LIGHTSABER and survived, so now something like this seems like an easy fake out. But no, she's actually dead smh. Way to waste Carrie-Anne Moss too, was looking forward to her character. There's meant to be a flashback later though so that's okayish.
