I had heard that too, but I searched online for Home Free with this song title and got the lyrics with this "Songwriters: Brentin Davis" at the bottom. So hope someone from Home Free clarifies it for us. And looking again, Tim & Chris Chatham are noted as writers of the song. Just one more reason I tend to take with a grain of salt anything that is stated as a fact on Google and Wikipedia.
In an article with Austin Brown he gives Tim credit for writing the song. It’s weird that the lyric sites give Brentin Davis cause if you look up Brentin Davis and Land of the free you only see the lyrics site nothing else about it.
@@bidwell13 if you look up “Who wrote Home Free’s Land of the Free” in google you get the Home Free song. There is another song out there called the same thing. Look at the Lyrics and you will see they are different.
Tim wrote this before he was in the group, so there is also a Tim solo version out there. When it comes to Adam (beatboxer), I'm fine with the idea that he is an alien
Tim Foust their bass wrote this song and they don’t do just covers they have a lot of original music that Tim and Austin ( Long hair ) wrote Adam Rupp their vocal percussionist has had many real drummers or musicians comment on how good he is You should check out some of his “drum” beatboxing solos he’s amazing.
I think Home Free has more patriotic songs in their catalog than any other artist. From somber like Brothers in Arms to this more jovial one. All good! Also, the drums you were hearing were courtesy of Adam Rupp, these guys are sincerely acapella. Thanks for including this one today and have fun with your new grill!
Tim wrote that and Home Free has a LOT of original songs. They just released the second song of a trilogy called Stargazer Lillies. You need to check out much more of them. Great reaction and you're right HF isn't at all afraid to show how patriotic they are. They wear their patriotism with pride!
I know you do things a little differently, with your link for upvoteing, but you will get more Home Free votes trust me 😊 I just think you should know them. Austin Brown Tenor 1 Rob Lundquist Tenor 2 (your brother in law)😂 Adam Chance Baritone Tim Foust Bass Adam Rupp Beatboxer ( the best beatboxer in the world)

They’ve done a lot of their own Originals…Tim and Austin are both great writers ❤️🫶🏼❤️‼️🇺🇸 In fact, their last album is almost All their Originals 🫶🏼❤️🫶🏼‼️
As they say in the song .."I love my country", and I'm proud to say I'm an American. Congrats on flying your first flag, and may it wave forever! Thank you for reacting to HF and this awesome song. May I suggest HF singing My Country Tis of Thee. It's beautiful! (recently subscribed).
I think that, as a non-American (I am Peruvian), what I love about this song is that it is relatable. Everything the lyrics say I feel for my own country and makes me feel very patriotic. Great reaction!
Home Free exude positivity, hope, joy and gratitude. That's just who they are. Their talents individually are extraordinary. When combined they are magical. Adam Rupp is so damned good at his craft, that you frequently forget that all the percussion is his skills and not actual instruments. Great reaction!
Typical. Austin will take every chance he get to get in a little fishing. He has a fishing pond just yards from his front door and he and his lady go fishing a lot. You'll see that a lot in his fishing/outdoor channel called The Beauty and the Bass. Home Free does a lot of covers, yes, but Tim (bass) and Austin (high tenor) are prolific song writers. Twelve of the 14 tracks on their album So Long Dixie are written or co-written by them. Everybody Walkin' This Land is a wonderful video from that album and Tim credits the writer and the message at the end. Road Sweet Road, Save the World, Giving Up One You (ft. Texas Hill), What's Left of My Heart, and the title track So Long Dixie are originals with wonderful videos. The latest ones are a trilogy that portray a wonderful loves story. Numbers 1 & 2 are Give Me Sign and Stargazer Lilies (my favorite of all time). The third one is coming out any day now and I'm pretty sure it's called MR.
Remember my friend that as an elder of the true church you know it's still true no matter what trials you've been through. We've all been through trials. But the truth is the truth.
Home Free is from Minnesota and we are proud of their achievements. It's nice seeing a country version of accapella. Congrats on putting up your first flag.
LOVE this Tim Foust original❣️ Our family has a long history of military service and I truly appreciate how unapologetically the Home Free fellas show their patriotism 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 This is one of my favorite "ear worms" 😆 Whenever I hear it it replays in my head for the rest of the day ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Not ever apologetic for Love of my Country nor the principles it was founded on!!! :) God - Country - Family!!! There is so much to be thankful for!!! Be Safe
This was written by Tim Foust ( the bass), Chris Chatham (Tim's long-time friend), and Randy Sharp. It first appeared on Tim's solo album "The Best That I Can Do" before he joined Home Free. In that version, Tim sings all the parts highs and lows. It has long been a favorite of mine.
That is the magic at beatbox at Adam rupp. He's drum sounds are so authentic that some drummers Says his beatboxing sound just like a Drum. The base Tim cowrote this song
This is our 4th of July song now.. We listened to it a lot last year and we will again this year.. Home Free has a album out of patriotic songs. It's called Land Of The Free... Love it...
I can attest, from attending their concerts, that the percussion is ALL Adam Rupp! He is a human drum kit! Listen to Man of Constant Sorrow. He sounds EXACTLY like a harmonica! Welcome to the Home Fries!!
I’m so with you. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. The Stars and Stripes still stirs a flood of emotions deep in my heart. Let all the detractors think on what kind of reaction they would get were they to dissent in other countries. That’s a pretty big freedom right there- freedom of speech. That was a great song. Thanks for sharing it.
Congratulations on getting your 1st flag. Fly it proudly! I love watching your reactions and Ali's too. Have you ever reacted to Lee Greenwood. Home Free and The US Air Force Choir doing God Bless the USA. It was done a couple years ago on July 4th
Yes sir. My father, grandfather (mom's dad), mom's brother and a brother-in-law, and dad's brother all served, as well as many friends I've known throughout my life. I honor all of them.
@@101stairborne6 Actually I started out life after high school in the US Navy. Followed in dad's footsteps shall we say. I grew up with interest in computer related subjects. So I joined Navy and was actually supposed to go to submarine school and study things related to computers. But unfortunately I suffered a bad back injury during boot camp (I actually went to Great Lakes, IL). They sent me home with medical discharge. I may not necessarily agree with the way our leaders are handling our country but I absolutely love the US. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Some days it seems as though our freedoms in this country dwindle but this is still the freest country in the world.
You need not be American to appreciate the sentiment & patriotism of the song (I'm Canadian). The singing, beatboxing & harmonies are perfect! Incidentally Tim (bass) and Austin (long curly hair) do fund raising for Wounded Warriors. Three of them are song writers (Tim, Austin & Chance) so there are lots of originals as well as covers. Hope you had a wonderful Independence Day!
Many funny songs. Country Fried Pop, Butts Medley, All About the Bass, Sold, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. They have many many upbeat songs. Sounds like you’ve heard some of their somber ones
They also write their own songs. Adam is doing the drums. You should watch his live drum solo. He also makes a number of other sounds. When Tim ( bass) is singing Chance takes over bass. Rob and your brother in law look like they could be related.😂 ☮️
3:41 that’s the thing about Adam Rupp. The man swallowed a drum kit. It’s amazing what he can do. Home Free is my favorites cappella band. The guy that looks like your brother in law is Rob Lundquist. 2:14 Home free from left to right. Adam Chance(goes by Chance), Tim Foust, Rob Lundquist, Austin Brown and Adam Rupp (his brother founded the group before leaving in 2016 to start a new group with their sister called 7th Ave Band and another group called Cypress Fyre. Both groups are really good.)
Tim Foust, the bass with gray in his hair, wrote this. Maybe he co-wrote it that other guy but I heard Tim and his good friend Chris Chatham wrote it. Nevertheless, it’s a good song. I love the Jeep too. What’s not to like? Horses and doggies, hamburgers and hot dogs and fireworks! Great song. You need to watch Adam Rupp Drum Solo (2015). It’s just Adam and a microphone doing drums with his mouth. He’s insanely talented. They all are incredible singers. Enjoy your week!😄
So the rhythm is mostly Adam Rupp and is ALL ACAPELLA. Here is a link to a Home Free concert segment with Adam doing a drum solo. ua-cam.com/video/EanKWLUaDpg/v-deo.html I think you might really enjoy watching this. 😁
Congrats on putting up your first flag when I was a kid almost every house on every street flew at least 1 flag out front now you hardly see them up any more. I'm a Marine fought in Iraq but my family has been continuously insisted, fought and died since the Revolutionary War so just as a reminder there's nothing wrong with enjoying an extended weekend but keep in mind that Memorial Day is a day to remember, to be greatful and to mourn those who voluntarily died for a country they'd never see again. P.S. If you have or when you have children explain and age appropriate explanation to them every year and that they should be Proud To Be American just as those who died in War were.
You HAVE TO check out these guys singing; ‘Mayday’. You won’t believe the bass singer’s (Tim Foust) voice in that song. That perscussion is Adam Rupp. It is DEFINITELY NOT real drums.
Please do yourself, and all us Home Fries, a big favor and learn the names of these talented folks. Do a little research on them and you will get a ton more followers to your channel.
If you think America is the land of the free, you are deluded . did you know star, spangle banner lyrics, and the tune was written by the British? We also invented baseball apple pie for lightbulb and doughnuts.😂
Tim Foust is the guy with the deepest base voice that starts the song also wrote this song.
Tim wrote this!! Most patriotic guys out there!!
Tim and Chris Chatham wrote this song.

It's debatable whether Adam(their percussionist) swallowed a drum kit as a youngster.
This song was on blast in my backyard last 4th of July

Adam Rupp is called a "human drumkit".
