    Tip: When tightening the adaptor on the throttle side, leave a tiny gap between the adaptor and the grip then tighten. This way your throttle won’t stick.

    I have the CRG Arrow mirrors. Excellent mirror. I have one on the left and right, but if I'd had known how good the field of view was before I purchased them I would have only bought one. There are more than 2 up and down detente positions. And the arrow shape can be rotated 180 to be positioned over the grip, or instead of mounting the bar mount in the standard mirror up ornamentation, flip it over and then you get the same range of options but under the bar. These are excellent mirrors, and have no buzz at any time in any RPM (FZ-09). They are much more usable than I had expected.

    On my cammy vintage Triumph twin the LS mirror vibrated.. that extra joint was just too much. The non-LS Hindsight however was perfect. It's fine no matter what. Short and easy to secure. I even bent it accidentally and it was easy to repair. I recommend the non LS unless your bike is fairly smooth running then I couldn't see a problem with it.

    Great video. Now I'm going to ask the mechanic for the mirror he said broke (or otherwise a very major discount), seeing that replacement mirrors are available. I never knew they were re-buildable.

    The arms on the CRG Arrows have more than the 2 positions you've described. They actually can do about 270 degrees.

    • @SpurgeonDunbar
      @SpurgeonDunbar 9 років тому

      SwiftTone You are absolutely correct. You'll notice that right after I talk about the two position click of the arm I talk about being able to change the mirror positioning. The mirror itself can be rotated on the mounting point where the arm joins the back of the mirror base. Is this what you were referring to?

    • @swifttone
      @swifttone 9 років тому

      The arm can rotate about 270 degrees relative to the mounting clamp to the bar. The mirror can rotate 360 relative to the arm and can be tilted as well.

    • @SpurgeonDunbar
      @SpurgeonDunbar 9 років тому

      SwiftTone That's interesting. I wonder if they changed it. Ours definitely only had two main points. How old are your Arrows?

      I bought mine a week ago. If you go to CRG's website you can actually see the Arrows in 4 positions. I think there is at least 6 positions.

    I think it would be cool if they made something similar to the arrow, but with both a hindsight and a blindsight mirror on it. I love the styling of bar end mirrors, especially on sport and supersport bikes, but they just don't offer the same field of view as the stock mirrors. Having some nice dual lens mirrors may not increase the size of the image, but it would certainly cover both behind and blind spots on both sides. Though, I suppose no mirror is a good substitute for shoulder checks, can't trust other drivers to be safe on the roads.

    RevZilla I own a 2013 zx10r and I want to purchase some bar ends and I'm seriously considering these...i found some at my local dealership but they did not expand large enough and also the inside of my handlebars are rigged..would I just need the crg adapter or would I need to buy something else as well? Thanks you guys rock

    • @SpurgeonDunbar
      @SpurgeonDunbar 9 років тому

      msjackson1023 So the mirrors themselves are designed to fit on a 7/8" diameter handlebar (This is what is stock on your ZX-10R). If you do not have room at the end of your particular clip-ons (Chances are if you are running a stock set up you will not) you can use the adapter to "extend" your clip-ons and replace your bar end weights. They mount to the inner diameter and expand for a nice secure fit.
      I have used these on a couple of different bikes now and I will say on some handlebars you do have to drill out the inner stops where the stock bar end weights mount to. Once that is completed (If needed) the adapter should be your solution.

    I got the Arrow Mirrors for my MT07 and while I was mounting them to my bar end slider I used a 3mm Allen Key on not only the clamping screw but also the screw that pivots the mirror up and down. I ended up completely removing the screw on both sides and putting it back on now it doesn't click and wobbles if I try to adjust it. I went back to stock mirrors till I can figure out a way to repair them. Is there a way to get them to adjust again or once you remove the pivoting screw they are junk? Thanks guys

    Great video as usual. My question is as far as functionality can the bar end mirrors replace the stock mirrors on my Kawasaki Ninja 400 ?. In other words are they just as functional from a safety perspective as the stock mirrors. Thanks

      With the handlebar position of the Ninja 400, the stock mirrors are likely to be much more functional than bar end mirrors. -DrewZilla

    Are the adapters weighted at all? I like the clean look of the mirrors being the last thing on my bars but i'm afraid of the instability at highway speeds of not having the weights on the ends. If not, do i have any options to achieve that look and keep my bars weighted?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  7 років тому +2

      The adapters are billet aluminum, and when added with the weight of the bar-end mirrors, they act as good bar-end weights. -DrewZilla

    I've been thinking about bar ends for my BMW K1300S because I have noticed that the stock mirrors don't give me that great of a view. I don't know if it's because my shoulders are that wide or because the stock mirrors are too far forward and don't give me enough of a reflection angle to work with. If I do go with a bar end, I'm guessing I'll need to eliminate the stock mirrors. Since BMW also mounts their turn signals in the mirrors, can you guys suggest a stock mirror eliminator and turn signal re-location kit to go along with the bar ends? I definitely want something that will be consistent with the fit and finish of the K1300S.

    • @SpurgeonDunbar
      @SpurgeonDunbar 9 років тому +1

      sammy6blades I have been doing some research for you, Sammy, and this is what I have found. First and foremost, I could find no one that makes a mirror/turn signal eliminator for your bike. I went through a couple different BMW forums and did a few internet phone calls. If you want to eliminate those mirrors you might need to get creative and come up with your own kit and then install something like R&G Arrow turn signals somewhere on the fairing. There is no doubt that the CRG mirrors would match the fit and finish of your Beemer, however, the turn signal situation might be a heavier lift than you are looking for. I would recommend checking some K1300S Forums to see if anyone else has done this.
      With that being said, I did find a solution to your original problem of not being able to see past your shoulders with your stock mirrors. Apparently this is a regular complaint from K1300S users and a company called SW-Motech has mirror wideners to solve this issue. While we carry the SW-Motech brand, we currently do not have this product. However, I checked with our friends over at Twisted Throttle and they have a few in stock: www.twistedthrottle.com/sw-motech-mirror-wideners-bmw-k1300s-k1200s
      I would recommend reaching out to them to see if they could help you out with a set. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do for you on our end! Cheers!

      @sammy6blades 9 років тому

      Oh wow, excellent. I wasn't expecting all the research on your end. Another reason why you guys are awesome. Thank you very much. I'll see what I can come up with.

    • @RevZilla

      Yes, the Arrow mirrors fit the Monster 821. If you use the adapters, you do not need to move the levers, switch housings, and grips inward on the handlebars. However, there isn't a whole lot of room on the bars to do that, so I recommend the adapters. -DrewZilla

      Mrtakeitback babyhester Only if you move all the controls inward on the bars to expose an inch or so of the bar ends on which to mount the mirrors. Most people don't want to go through the hassle of moving controls, so they use the CRG Billet Internal Adapters as bar end inserts, which creates a perch on which to mount the bar end mirrors. Like the bar end mirrors, the adapters are sold individually, so if you want two mirror and/or two adapters, you order a quantity of 2. If you use the CRG Billet Adapters, you cannot use other bar ends. -DrewZilla

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  6 років тому

      It depends how good your visibility is with the stock mirrors. Bar end mirrors are placed wider than the stock mirrors, so they can provide a wider view and/or less obstructed view if you find your arms taking up too much visual space in your stock mirrors. However, with bar end mirrors, you do need to look down from your forward view more in order to see the mirrors. -DrewZilla

    - I want BAR ENDS w/ NO mirrors for my 04 FXDL. Any options?!?! :-(

      Because Harleys generally use close-ended grips, we don't really have any bar ends designed for Harleys. -DrewZilla

    How can I install those mirrors if my handlebars are not hollow (2016 r1)?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  7 років тому

      You would need to move the grips and switch housings slightly inward on the clip-ons, in order to expose enough the bar-end on which to mount the bar-end mirrors. -DrewZilla

    Do I need the adapter for a 2017 Triumph Street Scrambler?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  7 років тому +1

      If you feel like moving the controls inward on your bars to make space on the ends to clamp the mirrors, then you don't need the adapters. That can be a bit of a pain, though, so most people just use the adapters. -DrewZilla

      Renegade Agents i'm all down for revzilla, awesome site, but this the 1st bullshit i've called on them. Billet or not, on handlebars, if you go down, they go down.
      Pick some up on amazon for 10$ they are literally the same only stainless, sorry rev, this is the only thing i've found like this overpriced on your site.

      Looking more into it it's CGR, not necessarily Rev. They're the most expensive folding bar ends I've seen, plus on my Triumph I would need the CRG adapters for my 1" bars, that's another $40. Nearly $200, no thanks. But I've not seen them MUCH cheaper anywhere else. If you want CRG you have to pay, is it worth it though? I'm not sure it is.

      +Renegade Agents I'm not hatin on Rev btw, bought alot of stuff at better price than I found anywhere else.
      but a mirror on the end of a handlebar? you go down, it goes down, billet steel or aluminum, don't matter.
      I paid 10$ for mine, same exact design, folding, came with 2 adapters.
      I just can't see this specific item being so expensive! kinda feel like a dick now commenting on their page like this, but they have my business and will continue too haha.

      Yes, and we recommend using the bar-end adapters to provide mounting space. -DrewZilla

    Will these fit my 2016 Vulcan S?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  7 років тому +1

      Since your Vulcan's bar-end weights are attached to a threaded slug inside the ends of the handlebar, you cannot use CRG's Internal Adapter as a mounting point for the bar-end mirrors. The other mounting option is to move the controls inwards, but it appears there is not enough space on the handlebars to be able to move your switch housings and hand grips inwards enough to provide enough space at the bar ends for these mirrors to mount. -DrewZilla

      Eric Rusch Sr - yes you can, and then you can be constantly unhappy with them as they vibrate, rust, fog, fall off or whatever issue they suffer from cheap build and materials. I’ve used a number of CRG’s mirrors and they are solid, vibration free and last. Worth the investment IMHO.

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  8 років тому

      Yes, you just need to move the controls inward on the handlebars, so that you have space to mount the bar end mirrors on the ends of the bars. -DrewZilla

      You don’t have to have a beard to wrench, and you definitely don’t have to be a man either! For some background, here’s Lemmy’s account of the history of the BSD: _“I love telling the story of it. I was sitting around the airport with some colleagues - among them were two of the co-founders of Revzilla. We were trying to come up with some way of quantifying how difficult something was, so I suggested how many BEERS it takes to get through a job. I was misheard, and it became BEARDS, which was funny because Mike C., one of our H-D geniuses, was present, and he has a wizard-esque beard. He laughed and liked it, and believe it or not, the outline of the guy you see in the graphic is actually the outline of Mike's head!”_
      Hope this helps! -DrewZilla
