This landowner was adamant that he didn't want anything but I always offer! Picking up your trash and having good communication with them is even more important though in my opinion
Hell yea good hunt man all finished up down here in New Zealand duck shooting season got 44 mallards and two Spoonbill Drakes for finish on the final hunt of the season and 388 birds for the season telly. Love your videos man ! Get you some Kiwi keels for your decoys man the birds will suck right into the moment on hunts like this little nz secrets you don't see in the USA .keep up the awesome work ❤
Thanks George! Glad to hear y'all had a bang up season down there, it's crazy y'all can shoot so many mallards in one hunt too. Is your limit 25 mallards a person or 50 mallards a person in your zone? I'll definitely check out the kiwi keels too, appreciate the tip!
I'm in the central South island It's 50 mallards 25 Paradise ducks 5 back Swans and unlimited Canada geese there declared a pest so it's impossible to limited out but 90% of wat I shoot is mallards if your ever over in NZ hit me up and Il give you the hunt of you life 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Jason, really appreciate it! I shoot a mix of Federal, Kent, and Migra last season. I was using Apex S3 steel on this hunt though, only got to shoot a couple boxes of it cause I traded Owen for some but I really liked how it performed!
Thanks Luke! My main advice would be to make good connections with your local farmers. Most of the hunting in that part of the state is on farm ponds and small creeks which are almost always private. Have permission on a couple farms could open up a lot of opportunities!
It's made by final approach, I don't remember the actual name of it though. It's a really light waterproof jacket so I like wearing it on top of my insulating layers on cold hunts
I really love the fact that i can watch new duck hunting videos almost every week in during the end of summer
I appreciate you watching them! Gonna start ramping it up to two a week in August!
@@HokeOutdoors That's awesome bro I can't wait.
Keeping us alive through the off season
We’ve almost made it now!
Did homie have Sitka HeyDudes on? 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes indeed 🤣 perks of small water hunting
Be sure to gift that land owner something, land owners who open their land for hunting are rare

Small creeks can be super fun. Nice hunt!
Thanks brother! It was a blast, hoping I can find more spots like this come fall!
Super cool looking spot and evidently where the ducks wanted to be at!
Just about the only place they had to go once the temps dropped!
Can’t wait to hunt together! Always excited to see you post!
Thanks Jay! Looking forward to it!
Nicely done three amigos!
Thanks Cooper!
Love hunting ducks 🦆 on smaller water/tiny creeks.
I'm right there with you! Just something special about those close quarters hunts!
Looks like a good spot to find arrowheads on those gravel bars
I honestly didn't even think about that at the time, wish I had looked around a little more now!
Another amazing video. Keep up the great videos.
Much appreciated! Got more on the way soon!
Cool spot! Good stuff Thomas!
Thanks Elliot!

Thank you!
No ducks west of the Mississippi this past season.
Great late season shoot in VA!
Hopefully they push down a lot earlier this year, seemed like the cold last January was too late for some places
Good job boys👍🦆🦆🦆
Much appreciated!
Good times!!🦆🦆
Thanks buddy!
Another very good video. Great editing and appreciate the commentary through out. What is the choice of ammo now days you are using?
Thanks Jason, really appreciate it! I shoot a mix of Federal, Kent, and Migra last season. I was using Apex S3 steel on this hunt though, only got to shoot a couple boxes of it cause I traded Owen for some but I really liked how it performed!
bad ass! hunt holler at me this season we can get one in.
Thanks brother! Will do!
Sweet spot brotha!
Much appreciated! Wish I could hunted it a few more times!
Great hunt! You have any advice for a new waterfowl hunter in South West Virginia?
Thanks Luke! My main advice would be to make good connections with your local farmers. Most of the hunting in that part of the state is on farm ponds and small creeks which are almost always private. Have permission on a couple farms could open up a lot of opportunities!
Hey Hoke, what kind if ammo do you shoot? Everything you hit seems to fold!
It helps when they're in pretty tight! I shoot a mix of shells but was using Apex S3 steel on this hunt
Chebre sus lances de cazeria amigos saludos
Sweet
Need to get a good gun dog.
I've got one, he just wasn't ready to go last year. Looking forward to hunting him this season though!
Yo me and Dylan wegner play Xbox together and I’ve been telling him y’all need to make a trip to Louisiana and come hunt.
Tell him to come pick me up and we'll make a trip down there!
@@HokeOutdoors alright
What shells do you use the most? Or at least do you seem to like the most?
I typically shoot a mix of federal, kent, and migra throughout the season. I was trying out some Apex S3 steel on this hunt though
Hey hoke can you do a video on your GoPro settings, I just got the 12 and plan on using it this upcoming season
I just run mine in 4K60 and linear mode!
What camera/s do you use? Thinking about trying to get into filming this year need more Hoosier waterfowlers on here
Two GoPro Hero 10s for the most part! Although you could certainly get by with one
What brand jacket are you wearing it looks really good.
It's made by final approach, I don't remember the actual name of it though. It's a really light waterproof jacket so I like wearing it on top of my insulating layers on cold hunts
What gun an ammo do you run?
What shells are you guys shooting?
I think we were all shooting Apex S3 steel 3inch #2s on this hunt
What shells do yall use?
I was shooting Apex S3 #2s on this hunt
Are you going to hunt your dog this year ?
Yep! Looking forward to it!
What would be tough on a dog? That’s super easy hunting for a dog?
The rocks in the creek were pretty jagged and uneven. Would've been easy for a dog to cut up it's foot or roll an ankle.
What state is this in?
OK
Isn’t there another UA-camr that hunts that same place or same looking place he has posted like 2 weeks ago
I haven't seen that video if so, do you remember the name of the channel?
جيد جدا لاكن اختار مكان اكثر اتساع
