It is the inability of the people, not government. "Rich People" try to maintain their neighborhood along with inside their homes maybe?
It's because the people living in the wealthy areas maintain it unlike in the suburbs, they don't! I agree that the government isn't doing anything for the cleanliness but so aren't the people! You can't blame the government all the time!

Anuj, thank you for posting. The building on the left at :43 is where my grandparents lived on the 8th floor of Maheshvar Niketan building. Wow!!!! It has become so clean and modern. Thanks again for posting this. Brings back the greatest memories.

The kind of money Mumbai has it is one of the richest cities in the world with so many skyscrapers but the all over road infrastructure is not up to the mark. Maybe in nxt 3 to 5 years u can say that Mumbai has world class infrastructure..

@@wheeljunction sure! But old colonial homes of Pune and the entire areas which has these homes are just on an other level of beauty and are well taken care of. Posh does not mean just money. It also means well pedigreed families. These homes have served some of the most iconic people of this country. Army generals, writers, cinema people, artists, ustaads, maratha nobility etc. Most homes in the above videos are likely owned by business oriented families who have lived there not more than a decade or two. And its all apartments. With less money, you get more acreage and can also land yourself a beautiful old rustic colonial mansion with history in Pune.

Also some of the richest businesman of the world like Ambanis, Tatas, Singhania, & many many more are all in South Bombay... Even the biggest politicians of this country no matter from which state they come from but they have now all settled here.

Mumbai has the best and the worst . Only a dynamic government can plan and execute the abolishing of slums and defecation activities along the railway track by illegal hut dwellers. Even richest part looks gross and ugly roads except one or two , no proper public infrastructure, no proper street lighting, no road markings, no proper foot path,ugly people with no traffic knowledge, everywhere car parking in a ugly manner also people walks through anywhere. If Mumbai wants to compete with the international standard cities it needs to look upon these basic things. Having some sky scrapers doesn't make a city a world class city.Road infrastructure along with other public infrastructure in new Delhi and Ncr is far better than this ugly city.

@@Mohitkumar-mv8mj well, that's because most of the taxes generated gets spent on Delhi first as it is CAPITAL of India. Metro was needed in Mumbai at the same time or even before delhi, but it got commissioned for Delhi. However, coming to infrastructure, you'll see a completely different Mumbai in the next 5 to 10 years as mega infrastructure projects get completed. Metro, coastal road, 2nd international airport, etc.
You can always improve the infrastructure of the city, but it's not easy to change the mindset of the people and manners which is why there is so much of pollution and crimes in Delhi. It's not for nothing that people love to settle down in Mumbai despite small homes and narrow streets.
Until we accept the truth and reality nothing is going to change and also if people doesn't care about it and show interest in it and just sleeep then GOVT wiill obviously take them for granted. I think people of Mumbai should ask it's GOVT where the money is going as it is the richest civic body in India. I think it is the fault of people not the GOVT, mass education for civic knowledge is the need of the hour.
