    I don't understand why odience for these subjects is not particilarly high in you tube.
    Which I find particulary informative, I pray you to continue doing these seminars.

    Have they given thought into low dose anabolics given the potential downsides of sarcopenia?

    With regards to aging, Fasting is the most important area to consider. Fasting is when cellular repair takes place, Exercise and diet will then be more effective 😊

    Thanks. Very good presentation. I wonder of Prof. Lynch is aware of the recent neutral plasma exhange work by the Conboys? Their prelimary work, building on prior work in parabiosis, appears to show that replacing a certain fraction of plasma in older test animals (some data in older humans) upregulated some genes to a more youthfiul state, reduced fibrosis in the muscles, and increased follistaton (mentioned by Prof. Lynch). Not known how long the effect lasts but appears to be at least 1 month, or what volume of old plasma needs to be removed to have an effect. Conboys used 50% but that was because parabiosis was based on 50% reduction. Might be something that could be done a few times a year as an add on to diet and exercise.

    Glycine, creatine, EAA after workout with whey protein...they all work by increasing protein synthesis and lowering myostatin. Also fertilized eggs which have the highest levels of follistatin!

      creatine will cause kidney failure

    • @Spartan21blue
      @Spartan21blue 2 роки тому +2

      @@BlackMamba-lt8oe extract from pub med : Creatine supplements may transitorily rise serum creatinine levels and mimic a kidney disease. If its use is associated with a high protein diet, the resulting increase in blood urea nitrogen will increase the confusion. Since clinical laboratories usually inform the estimated glomerular filtration rate based on serum creatinine, its elevation may lead to over diagnose a chronic renal failure, with the inherent personal and public health consequences. Creatine supplements are safe and do not cause renal disease. Reports of kidney damage associated with its use are scanty. However, creatine supplements should not be used in people with chronic renal disease or using potentially nephrotoxic medications. So mate , how about you reference for us the statement you made with science based facts thanks

    What originality. . . while exercise brings a little health and feeling good but certainly not the longevity hoped for. . .

    Prof Gordon Lynch should look at Xenogeneic Young Blood Transfusions from Tony Wyss-Coray, PhD : Stanford University, Stanford Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center Blood. The famous plasma fractionation learnt from parabiosis has older muscle functioning like younger muscle. The best direction for Sarcopenia.

    I think we need to get over the idea that underlies the assertion that there is an "ethical problem" with using drugs when people don't want to exercise. Yes, science needs to pay lip service to the double-layered vulgar gut feeling that "effort good" and "medication not natural, unnatural things bad" that works to prevent progress. I think he handled it very well by couching the development in saying that it is for "people in wheelchairs". This is a great way to handle the situation, everyone has understanding for that situation. Meanwhile, research on drugs can continue; nobody should be forced by their body to do exercise. There is no magical spirit behind all of this who has arranged it he wants you to do exercise. It's just random junk EVIL-ution has thrown together, I call it the Senescence Satan.

    Rats that are protein restricted have a significantly longer lifespan and healthspan so his advice of eating more protein may not be a good strategy.

      I think it depends how active you're, an active older person might need to ingest more protein in parallel to exercise/activity in order to enhance muscle synthesis and counter sacopenia...

      Valter Longo thinks in middle age you should restrict protein but in old age increase it.

    How are people going to look after the planet when most people can’t even look after themselves.? Younger people need to go shopping on pension day and observe the consequences of years of neglect.
