Great video! This summer was something else.... And having hungry deer didn't help one bit over here. Yur plants blooming looks beautiful, and the new ones will be nice too, next year.
I'm figuring out on my corner, what made it through all the obstacles as well 😋

Thanks girl! You live and learn, right? I’m a novice gardener but an expert in learning the hard way😝

    Looking great!
Ooo, I’d forgotten about Mexican oregano! I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for some here in Houston!

Thanks Jo! Unfortunately I’ve got quite a few things still to replace. Most, if not all of my plant casualties were not native(or well adapted to our area). I’m learning…the hard way😜

I put in two Green Cloud Texas Sage plants last year and they are gorgeous now. Just important not to overwater them.

I just planted my flame Acanthus but now I need to move them. 🥵
I just read yesterday they are woody and big. So I need a better spot.

I have done that same thing so many times! Grateful for the forgiving temps so hopefully my transplants survive as well!

My Blackfoot Daisies really stressed and I lost couple of them to the summer heat. We got some rain and now blooming. I lost them before but because I love them will keep getting them 🙈 I have clay soil. So drainage isn't best.

I hope the expanded shale makes a difference in helping their root system hold up better in our rainy spring/fall…maybe it’ll make the difference in the summer. 🤞

I’m from your neck of the woods. May I ask where you buy your plants?

Hey neighbor! I get most of my plants from Grizzly’s in Nolanville. When they don’t have what I’m looking for then I go to the following nurseries in Austin: Barton Springs Nursery, The Natural Gardener, or Shoal Creek Nursery.

I got mine from the Natural Gardener nursery in Austin but many mom and pop nurseries in Texas carry it. I didn’t have any luck at the big box stores.
