Told without mystique and as you explained it is all about the sound of the beat. I remember putting a beer mat under one side of a mantle clock to achieve correct beat.
Thanks for posting this video. My great aunt has a schoolhouse clock, which has had an uneven ticktocking sound for ages. I just found out that her clock might be positioned lopsided on the wall. She has Alzheimer's disease, so she doesn't keep up with her routines like setting the clock like she used to. Anyway, now I understand what it takes to get an even pendulum action.
Hi Tony, great video, thanks. How old is the regulator you used for this video? I have one that I am almost certain is the same age and possibly same manufacturer but a single weight and no pie crust bezel? Cheers, Andy
You must dismantle the works and then the drum assembly in order to replace the cord. Metal cable is not recommended. Mono filament fishing line is not recommended. Braided nylon string is your best bet. Long ago they used gut. PS im not Tony.
hi can some please help,I have a vienna regulator similar to this and the bottom pointy parts and the crown looking part slides out is this meant to happen ? im selling one and forgot to mention it

We can't hear you. The volume is on full. Try moving the microphone closer.
I hear fine at about 60% volume.
