    I bought my 2008 cbf600 about a week ago, I was sceptical about it, but this video convinced me.
    I absolutely love the bike, thank you so much for sharing!

    Mine had the exact handlebar shake, at any speed. Cured completely by replacing steering bearings. Just in case anyone has the same thing and needs help diagnosing.

    "Fuel into fun": very well said! Keep those reviews coming, Cager.
    At 1:00: if you turn the ignition key all the way to the right you can use the warning lights without having the ignition turned on.

    That second "off" is the 'hazard position:' you can have the hazards on in that position, with all the other lights off.
    I think.

    I have the younger version of this, the 2009 model with injection and I really love it too bits :-)) It has a better power curve then the one you are rifing and the power kicks in faster at lower revs. I bought it second hand in 2012 at 3 years old with only 1920 km on the clock so almost brand new, the girl sold it because she did not feen comfortable riding the bike during her pregnancy :-)) My luck !

    Well done video. I really enjoy your testdrive videos. Could you imagine to testdrive and commentate on other brand motorcyles in the future? That would be awesome.

    Great test drive. Very detalied. Do you think after rididing cbf the nc is weak for you? I like the part that you said to 120 kmh the nc is possessed. I think that is enuogh for me. How does it feel with two up on the nc? Did you drive versys 650 to compare with the nc?

    Great personal review Cager!
    You will never go wrong with a Honda that's for sure.
    (Except the new 700cc you know..)
    CB600f/n are bulletproof and made for commuting/weekend fun.
    I would rather recommend the cbf600 than the hornet. Cheaper and you will still have lots of fun trust me.
    Just watch Cager laugh and have a good time :)

      @guaranteeeed 10 років тому

      Have you rode both? I am really wanting a hornet because they just look so good,especially in yellow with a belly pan and rear hugger, with a nice pipe on them :)
      But the sensible side of me is saying I will commute a lot and go on 120 mile trips and the cbf will be better.
      Hornet tank range does worry me.
      I'm just worried that the cbf may be a bit flat and not give you the buzz a high revving hornet will do?I have this image of them being a bit linear like the sv650 and torquey but a little boring compared to the hornet.
      Never ridden either so would be grateful for any feedback you can give.

    Good review. They're are a really fun bike to ride, whatever the press say about them. I've had two ( both faired 600SA8s ) and the first one (higher mileage, and with worn tyres) did the head shake thing, especially with any weight in the top box. My second low mileage bike doesn't shake at all, no matter what' you do to it. Head bearings etc. on both bikes seemed ok with no play in them. Good bikes though, a great all-rounder for all year riding.

      Even if the Head bearings etc. are getting old, its not the end of the world to get them changed !

  • @manuzes

    Had the same problem in my hornet 600. This motorcycle or has one of the retainers suspension ruptured and is leaking oil, or the tire worn over one side.

    Penso ter te visto perto do marques Cager, a ver se te apanha outravez, continua ai e força.

    The NC700 has a cut down engine of a Honda Fit so it has low end torque but not much top end because it has a lower redline.

      I don't know how you have so big consumption. I have S version, 2004, and tank 16 litres every time and get from 320 to 360 untill light goes. Thats max 5 l/100 km. This includes passenger trips and up to 180 km/h.

    • @alexeychumakov5615
      @alexeychumakov5615 3 роки тому

      The same for me, consumption is about 5-6 liters, even with passenger and large Givi V35 side cases

      +OperationFoxley19441 Thanks ! Passed my theoretical test last month, driving lessons are not offered between november and march and i really don't have time in march, too busy. I hope to get my license in early May. Shouldn't be too hard, been driving an antique 50cc with 4 speed gearbox and manual clutch for years and a friend let me try his 500 cc - had no problem driving it in a safe, normal fashion. Edit: Funny, it should actually be *riding*, not *driving*. Thats my German nationality showing. We do have both words as well, but "riding" is only used for animals and *driving* for all machinery.

    Esse motor não dá hipótese ao da NC quando se começa a levar a alta rotação mas no dia a dia, em 90% das circunstâncias a nc é mais fácil de levar e mais económica (se bem que a cbf de injecção quando levada nas calmas gasta 4 a 5litros.

Kilka sekund/minut ostrej jazdy=wysokie ubezpieczenie+mandat+ban+zdawanie prawka od nowa+być może np.200 godzin prac w czynie społecznym.i gratis areszt. The choice is yours:).

    which would you recommend, I own the cbf125 and want to upgrade to a bigger honda, considering the CBX500/NC700 (touring) or go naked with this beast\
    I also own a 1972 CB750 :) - but that's a sunday bike

    • @beforth
      @beforth 6 років тому

      Kit Kropotkin just a beast in weight, it has power but is quite manageable and you have to really go for it to get it. Have one for 6 years now, really tough, good brakes, smooth and reliable bike. Mine does 5.8l 100km (I ride it hard), it's a 2011 model. Obviously maintenance is much more expensive than a 125 or any new 500cc honda, but it's a "real" bike.

    why do you always complain about mirrors on bikes? There just mirror have nothing to do with the performance of the bike. You need to get some experience on some bigger bikes. I like to see you do a review on something like a naked R1 or Z1000 etc. hope you do?

    • @normski262
      @normski262 Рік тому

      but off the line, most big bikes, to about 60 to 70mph are no faster infact many not even as fast. Did you know, Even the mighty H2R to about 60 or 70mph is no faster, but after that, its gone into the sunset. So unless your on a mortorway or very long straight, the good Hornet 600 is a very hard bike to outrun ...
