500 grams of sugar. White or brown.
1/2 a litre of water

They are great to find, especially showing the kids as they ‘wobble’ when poked and are rather easy to identify. Now when the flowers end you already know what the elder looks like - finding the mushroom will be easy peasy

Technically syrup.. but I would definitely strain the liquid through a muslin cloth before adding the sugar.
