Sweet, you have enough trees that hand watering is time consuming... and in this heat doesn't allow you to be away from home for even a day. I definitely want an automatic watering system at some point... Great job
I debated that same thing. I think if I had a little more space I would've done that but I have some smaller trees crowded in there and I was afraid their canopy might not let the smaller trees get enough water. Now after seeing how this works, I don't think that would've been an issue after all.
@@BonsaiBoise Ya thats what im worried about. I hand water with a can but I want to go on vacation and I want to make it as easy as possible for my tree sitter. Sounds like I would just have to run the water longer?
@@jameswalker3416 Yeah, and maybe mix in a few smaller sprayers or drippers. That's what I ended up doing. Mines probably not the most efficient system, but it's a start.

In Louisiana, we call it a hose pipe
Love it! But wondering what the moisture will do to the siding
Yeah now I'm wondering the same thing. I may need to rearrange them all 😳
@@BonsaiBoise otherwise I'm loving the watering action!
I had a similar system to yours that eventually rotted the siding of the house. I now use individual drippers rather than spraying.
Well yikes, I hadn't thought much about that. How old was your house if you don't mind me asking?
That's a peice of information I can use. Thanks ive been trying to decide between a dripper and a sprinkler.
I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps you should make sure the sprinklers are facing away from the house. 😬
I've been meaning to get a irrigation system for my trees but im not shore if I should do this style or get a drip system.

@@BonsaiBoise any thing that will give me more time not watering is a good thing.
You should be checking if they need it or you could be creating a root rot situation
Just saying
I could never go too long without checking on them. My OCD would be throwing up alarms like mad.
