I kind of liked it when you got irked at the first estate sale! Great to know that a gentle soul like you has his moments. So foolish of the person who threw you out.
Omg I remember my grandmere Rose had an old, old bottle of Fletchers Castoria and I remember her chasing me down, bottle in one hand, and teaspoon in the other haha😅
George, I’m watching this video first thing this morning and your comment about the Pope declaring the “no picture” policy almost made me spit out my coffee! Thanks for the laugh, but sad you had to be “scolded”. Doesn’t she know who you are and how special you are to all of us? Sending love from Canada.🇨🇦🇺🇸🥰
Brief message for George: The Wichita Eagle in Kansas did an article on the upcoming closing of the Andover Antique Mall. Tom & Marriam Holman opened the mall in 1997. Mr. Holman said there would be "deep discounts" through the last official day of business on Thursday, June 30. 2022.
The Dallas-Ft. Worth area has fantastic estate sales!! If you are headed that way, you should check out that area. The prices seem lower, than the prices in this vid.
Glad you mentioned estate sale ethics - have heard of people who price the things they want low and then send a proxy to buy them. And worse. Loved the cherub candlesticks and sommerso vase. And St George. The jardiniere is stunning - I could look at those gorgeous colors all day
All the different purpose clear glasses/crystal for dining households used to have is amazing. I often wonder if entertaining is still in fashion nowadays. My wedding crystal has remained in my dining cabinet since the 70s lol---unused
Well, this was fun. I actually worked at a dog kennel in Stone Mtn., Ga. so many years ago. That's so neat just driving around You were able to find Estate Sales and that terrible overpriced place, and fickle to boot (saying You could film and then telling You "NO!!" in no uncertain terms!) But neat stuff along the way and I would have grabbed those Eagle bookends!! I really liked that pretty secretary, sooo pretty!! Thanks for a couple of fun jaunts and the next places better be nice to You, don't they know You are a Celeb!? 🙂
I miss Atlanta, there ever I roam.are areas that are just beautiful, it isn't home anymore, too many changes. However, I take the Dawgs and The Falcons with me where
I stumbled across your channel a couple of videos ago. Glad to see you were in Atlanta!! Your first stop was in my neck of the woods-I recognized the street😝😝. You’re right about the Cathedral of St. Philip Thrift House-wouldn’t recommend them at all for resellers….overpriced and not much of a selection. I’ve rarely found anything there. Hope you had fun here!! You know your stuff!! I really enjoy your videos about vintage jewelry!! Newly subscribed!!
Those worry beads next to the icon and that cross next to the music box...I'd have stuck my nose in. Anything good was no doubt long gone, but ... I'd have had to look. That "thrift store" doesn't sound too thrifty. 21:05 I'm no ceramics expert, but that brown looks like Weller.
George, the knowledge that you so freely share is invaluable! I'm so sorry that the thrift store worker was unkind. I shall heed your advice and cross it off my list of places to spend my thrifting dollars! Thank you for everything you do!
Military families don’t get to ship everything they want. There are weight limits. It’s based on the family size. The part that helps is you usually don’t take your furniture overseas, you get furniture from supply and you turn it back in when you go back stateside.
Except for the meanie..it has been a lovely time again with so much new info..thanks George!! the third place is a charm for me..I like the style of so many pretty things in there and color of the furniture, the buffet..the table set,,,YES, It is so nice when you can give the facts of kindness,,,people can have a bad or emotional day..you give a lot of rope but when like that...saves us all grief. Thanks so much George..I LOVE all the tours from thrift to professional shows to estates and all inbetween.
Interesting to see the Royal Worcester Eversham. I have been buying quite a few pieces when I can get them for a good price, so I can put them to auction. They get very good prices in Australia.
Amazing how some thrift stores ask OVER retail, on items donated to them....have come across that imperious air from some of their volunteers or employees....I do not return either...
Wow, I was just gathering items to send to you for an appraisal and up you popped on my phone. I love watching you because you share so much wonderful information. Thank you for sharing this estate sale 🙂
I love when you go out shopping because you have so much knowledge to share. Sorry about the thrift shop being unable to film. They had some interesting items you were able to show. Are you scheduled to come to Michigan at all this summer? Happy Hunting 😃
Thank you for another great video, George! It's always a pleasure to see what you find in the wild, and what you purchase. And, your polite negotiating techniques can come in handy, be they for resellers or collectors. I still cannot fathom the need for officious policies when someone else told you that filming was permissible, since if they did not have the authority to grant you permission in the first place, they should have deferred to the purview of the person who can authorize such requests. Safe travels and best wishes for some superb bargains along the way!
Good evening, George! What was the large brass piece at the beginning of the estate sale? It had the Muslim crescent on top. Loved the clock. Loved the chess set and table...a bit more than I'd have wanted to pay for it, though. Those Ottoman pieces you got were something that really interested me. That chess set on the mantle caught my attention, too. I have a thing for chess sets. That Victorian frame would've had to have come with me. With my style of painting, the Victorian frames work well for me, in a lot of ways. That looked like a fun adventure...except for maybe the snit that wouldn't let you film. Thanks for the take-along!!!
I had another viewer asked, I feel it is Turkish but beyond that I'm not sure of its purpose. I thought at first for food preparation (they braize a lot of meat) but the crescent would seem more ceremonial. I was given a chess set randomly to sell at a show by a consignor, sold it immediately and was then asked four more times for one, so I've caught on to the chess set fandom! (I'm lousy at it, unfortunately.) Yes to the Victorian frame, and no to snitdom! Lol
Thanks for your time that is precious by taking us along for these estate sales and can't get over that gorgeous Pot and condition was near New..beautiful. what is the best way to search for Up and coming Estate Sales in one's home are for example I stay in New Orleans and don't know where I could look for Estate Sales that would be close by and thought perhaps there is a website you could recommend me browsing through..
I love the Atlanta area. I have several family members there and am thinking of retiring in the Blue Ridge area. Did you get a chance to catch up with Arianna in Atlanta? She's not to far from there. Undo is good to get stickers off of ephemera. We collected things from all over the world when my dad was in the Air Force. Much was destroyed in Katrina, but I have a few pieces in Omaha that my dad gave his mother over the years. We had a massive German shrunk moved back to the US along with 3 bedrooms full of teak furniture and marble coffee/end tables from Greece.
George is on the move! That first sale was fabulous. Question: @ 2:23 that large brass piece on round table- do you recall the price? Origin? I have one simliar. I would have grabbed the amber on the table, looked old and gorgeous.
That hair behind the ear at the extra discount so 🥰 cute
I love how you choose your words. Both funny/punny and kind- not cutting remarks.
You are a very classy guy!
I try to be fair at least lol
Whoa! That Ford Fairlane. Gorgeous❤️
Love the old cars!
alot of nice things brought back memories from my grandparents when i was a kid
You seem to have a photographic memory! Your recall on patterns and eras is extraordinary. I get a lot of great tips from your videos!
I kind of liked it when you got irked at the first estate sale! Great to know that a gentle soul like you has his moments. So foolish of the person who threw you out.
I'm human that way
You bought that beautiful glass piece at the last sake, I just know it.
It's beautiful with the light shining through it. 👍
Love that bowl. Gorgeous.
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, George!
Lol.. Me too

Me too! Hope to see you next Spring there
And their 1905 salad is BOMB!!!
Look forward to it
That was my first car. I had a red one with red interior.
Cool!!
That original $75.00 pottery was a steal.
George- so fun to see at Lander on Sunday! I did not know you had spaces in my locality! Thanks for taking the time to chat! Made my day! Sandy
Lucky You!!! 👍🙂

The Cathedral Thrift house is an Episcopal sponsored facility.
Omg I remember my grandmere Rose had an old, old bottle of Fletchers Castoria and I remember her chasing me down, bottle in one hand, and teaspoon in the other haha😅

You’re so knowledgeable. I love your videos. Thank you
Hi George. I can hardly wait to see what you bring to the Portland OR show.
Coming again July 2025!
I love Atlanta
Ugh... I missed the Spokane show ;( Hope it was a great show!!!
I live in Georgia, I'm so sorry that thrift employee wasn't a good representation of our state. Most of us are very kind & we love George.
I'm a state south and people from Georgia are peachy keen! Never met one who wasn't nice.
Another great video! Thanks so much George!
As soon as I saw the USAF prints I thought "hey Spokane should have some interest in those!"
great video

Well that was a bummer George. But I bet you saved a ton of money.
Great video
I like that chalkboard 😬
Me too!
I enjoy watching your videos and I am learning a lot about vintage things ❗️🙋🏻♀️👍🏻🙂❤️
Thank you! I hope you have fun with it

I am so happy to see you got some things at a little better price. Thanks for taking us along.
Now I go to these estate sales specifically for the clothing and linens, as well as old pottery.
Great trip George!🥰
Glad you mentioned estate sale ethics - have heard of people who price the things they want low and then send a proxy to buy them. And worse.

Me too, and it's not right! I price things the way I would pay and then let other people have a chance at them
Royal Worcester pattern isn’t Eversham but Evesham - the name of a local market town Thank you for yet another information packed video
I know better too! I can't seem not to say that R that isn't there. Evesham.
@@TheAntiqueNomad just remember Adam…
Thank you as always I learn from you. I appreciate all you do .
💖
That was great George. Always love listening to your calming voice, your incredible knowledge and adorable humor. Thank you for sharing💜
Hi George! I really enjoy your videos. It's so interesting to see estate sales all over the country. I hope you had a good time at the Spokane show.
Always love traveling the country w you....doing my favorite thing!!!
All the different purpose clear glasses/crystal for dining households used to have is amazing. I often wonder if entertaining is still in fashion nowadays. My wedding crystal has remained in my dining cabinet since the 70s lol---unused
People usually having smaller gatherings these days
I really like Sparkly crystal!!
Thank you George.
Enjoyed your video as usual George.

Thank you! Come chat in the premieres any M/W 8pm eastern
“Great reward” how lovely to say it that way

@@karenherrera7752 Ain't that the truth!! 👍
👍👍👍
The cherubs and sommerso vase were cute!
The mum on the pottery piece you found by the flower is very pretty!
I would not visit, and planned to soon. Thanks for information.
There's lots of other great alternatives
Love your videos 🎉
Aww thanks! This one had a harsh moment, I hadn't thought about that place in awhile lol
So informative thanks for taking us with you
The Air Force also ships the belongings even with all U.S. transfers.
The gas prices must be killing you?
Thanks for a great video. Some cool things.
Military families don’t get to ship everything they want. There are weight limits. It’s based on the family size. The part that helps is you usually don’t take your furniture overseas, you get furniture from supply and you turn it back in when you go back stateside.
That's good to know, I knew a guy who sent Black Forest furniture back from Germany so he must have paid the difference
Hi!
That tear-drop vase looked like it felt good in the hand. Great show George.

Interesting to see the Royal Worcester Eversham. I have been buying quite a few pieces when I can get them for a good price, so I can put them to auction. They get very good prices in Australia.
I like the pattern and I have collectors for it in Kentucky and the Midwest as well as on the West Coast
My great nephew is in the AF there!! Great sales!
Please Thank Your great nephew for his Service and Sacrifice. 🙂
Amazing how some thrift stores ask OVER retail, on items donated to them....have come across that imperious air from some of their volunteers or employees....I do not return either...
George thank you so much for all the information to help us resellers know what to look for and how to know if we are getting a good price or not.
That sommerso vase is gorgeous! And I like the idea that pens need to rest.😃
Also I would have snapped up the two pieces in metal in cabinet, one was candle stick!! Just my taste !!!
Wow, I was just gathering items to send to you for an appraisal and up you popped on my phone. I love watching you because you share so much wonderful information. Thank you for sharing this estate sale 🙂

The stone fruit George!!!! Sells for big money where I sell!!!!
I sell it decently but I hear it’s very hot some places
THAT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND FUN! REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE!
I can’t believe you found a House of David book in Atlanta. They were from Benton Harbor, MI.
You did a great job finding deals!! You have a good eye for beautiful stuff!!
Looks like you found some goodies, esp. at the last estate sale ! Have a safe trip & Happy Hunting ! :~)
The brown hued planter with chrysanthemums was my favorite pick! ♥️🐩
I do like that! So did another viewer its going to here
This was so much fun to watch! You got so many lovely pieces ❤
