I actually think the items you choose were cohesive. I think the look is sort of Victorian. ribbons, pressed flowers and books which go together like you would find in old letters or bits and bobs in a Victorian keepsake box.

I use my main elements for each monthly setup theme and fill a box for each month. As an example, if I use a certain stamps or papers, I will use the same stamp to stamp the month name or abbreviation and rip small papers to add to the corners of the box!
