Nice. I have the Elf Micro head with this 2x8 cab and its awesome. I doom the crap out of it with the nastiest fuzz on the planet and it delivers. Love it. Can always add the 1x10 extension cab but have yet to feel the need. 🤘
I have the 1x8 and ordered the 2x8 cab to go with it. Nice and clear with just enough volume and the weight of the entire rig is insanely low.

I been looking for a small cab that would up match well with my Mesa D350. I bet 2 of those 2x8 cabs with the D350 would really kick, plus be running at 4 ohms for the full output of the amp. Thanks for the demo .
That should sound fantastic. Most of my gigs now are the D350 and the ELF.
@@KPJohnson Coming from you that means something. Seems you have about everything out there, lol. How does the 1x8 combo along with 2x8 cab sound compared to the D350 with just the 2x8? I have a EBMM 4H Special so the D350 with 2x8 demo you gave was really helpful.
@@glennb3231 I missed this earlier. To be honest I don't use the combo with the 2x8 much. I prefer the D350 with the 2x8 as opposed to the combo because it does seem louder and I like the Mesa voicing a little more than the Trace, though the Trace is grear. I use the D350 2x8 setup when I host an open mic and the other players rave about how it sounds.
@@KPJohnson Thanks Kevin. Well I nearly bought the 2x8 Trace cab but became intrigued with a Orange OBC112 and ordered it but it was defective, had a terrible buzz inside the cab so sent it back. It was really too mid range for my tastes anyway and for my Stingray Special, the low end was great however. Think the Special may benefit a cab with a tweeter it (the bass) having such an expanded range. Now I'm looking at a Mesa subway 112 (already have a D-350 head) but after a ton of reading on TB I'm thinking I may be better off with the Mesa subway 115 although the 112 would be much easier for me to handle at my age and I could always add a 115 later on if it became necessary. What are your thoughts on these 2 Mesa cabs? Thanks
@@Zen-js3tx I have had both. I kept the SW115. It is one of the best sounding bass cabs I have ever come across. Very full range sounding. And loud. I took the D350/SW115 setup to a jam where we had to keep the volume down - leaving my D800 behind - and still got told to turn down. That's why I take the 2x8 instead. Given the choice, I went with the 2x8 over the SW112 for a smaller cab option as I thought the 2x8 was more balanced, I guess that's the term, than the SW112. If I was going to have a need for using multicabs, I would have kept the SW112 and used it with the SW115 when necessary, but, for me, the D800 and SW115 works for when I need to be BIG LOUD.

Yes, the fan comes on right away. Don't really notice t once I start playing.
@@KPJohnson Wow... Happened the same with a Hartke Kb12 of 500 watts. Now my tesis is that these small but powerfull amps or the fan is not good enough or the power is too high for the size. Since I wanted to record the amp, sold it because the fan would sound a lot. Cheers!
Mine has a fan noise you can hear at low volume but it's about the same as any of the other amps I've had with a built in fan

Hi, Trace Elliot 1x10 vs 2x8? i want buy only one of them.
What amp will you be using it with? Are you looking to gig with it, home use?
@@KPJohnson i don't have bass amp yet, but i think use guitar amp head 20 watt with this cab, for home monitoring, maybe heavy metal rehearsals in future.

Trace Elliott makes good amos but it's way over priced I can get the tc electronic 208 and a a micro tc electronic amp for almost this cabinet they need to make a budget line for consumers 😮
The sensitivity on those is really bad though…like 93 db. Not sure what this 2x8 sensitivity is but by all accounts it’s louder.
A direct comparison between those two by someone would be helpful though!
