My take on Aventurine is that he is a fatalistic, inwardly focused man with a severe inferiority complex and anxiety.
I think his fatalism comes from his upbringing being so focused on his god given luck, same thing with his inferiority complex. He resents his luck because it let him survive while everyone who he knew and loved died. I think he asks himself "Why couldn't my sister, mother, father or the rest of my people have some of this luck?" When you get down to it it's just the form that his survivors guilt has taken. Getting back to the fatalism, if you have so much survivors guilt and you seem to have supernatural luck that's a natural recipe for a fatalistic outlook. He's inwardly focused because that's a pretty natural result of unresolved trauma.
I hope he manages to find some sort of stable relationship with another person because he really needs it. I'm just not sure that such a relationship is possible for him, he has a profound lack of trust in the world itself, that's pretty justified considering how fate has made him it's plaything for most of his life. I hope he can find a little happiness, or at least peace.
