Haigh Hall Wigan Makeover - What's Happening - The Master Plan

After a total funding of £35.5m, Haigh Hall in Haigh Woodland Park Wigan, once the seat of the Earls of Crawford and Balcarres, begins its makeover, opening the building to the public with terraced cafes, art galleries, youth education, a cinema room, observatory, and an events ballroom to host famous bands, artists and headline acts.

We have been there, as a starting point for walks from, a few times over the years. Last time we came, earlier this year (or was it last year?) we spent more time looking round the grounds rather than walking out of the park. Looks, from your film, that even more developments have taken place than when we were there. Lots to look forward to in the future I think. Your filming from on high gives an overall picture of the area you don't appreciate from the ground.

Hi MichaeI, remember walking along the canal last year in the snow and sliding down a very icy bridge, nearly a hospital visit. Downloaded the Wigan circular walk but need to check out if its worth doing. Noted the hall will also be used for weddings, I hope the public areas don't get pushed to the side.

Love the beat of your uptempo paino paying. Sounds like a mix of boogie/jazzy /rock/bossa nova chords. Goes well with the spirit of Christmas bright and cheerful. Wrapped up for winter cold I notice. We've been a few times to Haigh Hall Wigan, but not many longer walks there.

Hi Shanita, the spirit of Christmas has definitely arrived this morning, looking forward to getting out in that snow. Sounds like a lot is proposed for Haigh hall but three years build time is a long one. Thanks for your support as always, much appreciated.
