I always enjoy a visit there; such a peaceful location. Nice to see the inside again, since it was quite a while since I last went in. We have done several walks from there over the years, all of them very enjoyable. I didn't know the Chetham's connection, so that was interesting.
We do visit the tower often as it is only a short drive, it's well furnished although a lot of it isn't original, donated from various local halls and museums. The volunteers do a great job, especially in the gardens.
I went here yesterday but alas half term so couldn’t go in, going back Wednesday to have a nosey. Thankyou for convincing me it’s worth going in! Architecturally the building is bizarre and amazing !
I know Turton Tower and gardens well. We have done a few walks around the area including one I did with a walking group. I bet Turton Towers would welcome sharing your film of their premises. Very well presented and produced. As ever loved the tinkling piano playing with changes of chord progressions and mood. Even recognised your second jazzed version of 'In an English Country Garden".So nice on the ears.
Hi Shanita, we go there a lot, just 15 mins drive away, a nice chill out place. Glad you like my jazzy pieces, I used to really enjoy playing with the old 18 piece big bands.
@@CountrysideWalking That's great that you sang with the big bands. It all started for me when the music college I was at arranged for a few of us to sit on stage behind a big band at the free trade hall, the band were really friendly and chatted with us, it was Count Basie with Ella Fitzgerald, I will never forget it.

@@lancsway Playing with 18 piece big bands is quite impressive? I used to sing with big bands but didn't have a strong enough voice to compete.
