Canto 34 is from Dante Aligheri's Inferno. The last "chapter" in the epic poem about a man's struggles through hell and faces against Lucifer and eventually escapes hell into purgatory, where the next poem takes over. It's a beautiful literature piece and a must read for anyone who wants an engrossing classic to jump into. (Be forewarned that some of the translations out there are not very good, but you can easily find a decent one.) No that history lesson is over, according to Zoltan Bathory, this was the last track they worked on, going through hell to get the album made on a strict deadline, and Ivan really wanted an instrumental track. The boys came up with this and saw it fitting to name the finale to be as epic as escaping hell after facing the king of hell himself, and moving on to the promised land. FFDP have built a reputation up, and people see them as a tired, cookie cutter band, but these guys all have a fire driving in them to create, and I respect the hell out of them for that.
Best one you've heard ? I strongly recommend to listen Apocalyptica's "Worlds Collide" album, as it has the best instrumentals I have heard, even better than this one.
It appears i didn't,twat. Perhaps you liked it because deep down you know i'm right. How many people you know that when asked about their favorite band they straight up answer ''Apocalyptica''? They are a gimmick band that built their reputation covering Metallica in cello. Thats about it. Dont compare them to real bands that write their own music and they are not piggybacking off other peoples success. Also, refrain from using smiley faces, unless you are a 15 year old girl, which, considering your music preferences,is propably what you really are.
@@Dslasher99 it doesn't mean it's him though. Darrel Roberts was on the band from 2006 to 2009 and considering there's no vocals I bet Ivan isn't in the band yet at this point. So this was probably made before 2009. Which would mean Hook isn't in the band yet

this song brings back so many memories. i was about 16yrs old, playing WoW with friends, listening to FFDP and participating in massive pvp fights with hundreds of players. Still gets my adrenaline pumping up to this day
Whether one believes this is true heavy metal music or not, I don’t care. I’ve listened to this enough times to know one thing: It’s a great song, and genre doesn’t change that fact.
I was working for an amusement company when this was released. On digital jukeboxes, the album art is shown during the song. I always thought it was hilarious that, prominently displayed during this music, was a "parental advisory" for explicit lyrics...

I consider myself somewhat of a hard rock/heavy metal connoisseur. This is one of the best heavy metal albums post-2000. Pretty goddamn profound for a thrown-together band’s second album. This album is one you can throw on and never touch the skip button. 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
Best moment of school: My friend used this in a presentation on Dante's Inferno EDIT: For those who don't know, Canto 34 in Inferno is the bottom of Hell, so that's the connection.
This is the theme song for my series "The Glorious Eggs". I see my characters struggle against oppression to build a better life for their children and to keep their family together. I love metal instrumentals.
Knowing that this song is written to resemble Canto 34 of Dante's Inferno makes it all the more amazing and I appreciate that it didn't need lyrics to get the point across
Victor Wooten. Start with classical thump or the lesson if you wanna hear a solo. Nothing replaces death punch in my heart though. I'd understand if you are turned off of my recommendation due to a lack of distortion, I've been there.
No necesariamente el vocalista tiene que presentarse como prioriodad, los instrumentos también tienen que tener desarrollo y explotarse, y esta canción lo demuestra.

If you like instrumental and metalish music try Bucketheads soothsayer all buckethead music is instrumental and hes beast on the gutar

Not sure if this is wrong of me... but this is quite possibly one of 5FDP's best songs.
For some reason I'm always thinking of Metallica's Black Album whenever I hear the outro to this instrumental. Has a similar sound to it I think.
Youre thinking of blackened intro and the second last song on that album. I see what you mean though.
Those lyrics are so bad ass they didn't need them. First time here but definitely not disappointed as a FFDP fan. Sad to say.
