Canto 34 is from Dante Aligheri's Inferno. The last "chapter" in the epic poem about a man's struggles through hell and faces against Lucifer and eventually escapes hell into purgatory, where the next poem takes over. It's a beautiful literature piece and a must read for anyone who wants an engrossing classic to jump into. (Be forewarned that some of the translations out there are not very good, but you can easily find a decent one.)
No that history lesson is over, according to Zoltan Bathory, this was the last track they worked on, going through hell to get the album made on a strict deadline, and Ivan really wanted an instrumental track. The boys came up with this and saw it fitting to name the finale to be as epic as escaping hell after facing the king of hell himself, and moving on to the promised land.
FFDP have built a reputation up, and people see them as a tired, cookie cutter band, but these guys all have a fire driving in them to create, and I respect the hell out of them for that.

It appears i didn't,twat. Perhaps you liked it because deep down you know i'm right. How many people you know that when asked about their favorite band they straight up answer ''Apocalyptica''? They are a gimmick band that built their reputation covering Metallica in cello. Thats about it. Dont compare them to real bands that write their own music and they are not piggybacking off other peoples success. Also, refrain from using smiley faces, unless you are a 15 year old girl, which, considering your music preferences,is propably what you really are.
