This our own doing. They gave respect to all Indians to start with. Ultimately we proved them that we do not deserve this respect by our conduct in Canada and now they know that most of the international students are here to get PR card. Most of them have failed to respect Canadian Culture, values. One always has the option of going back to respective countries to have a dignified life if you think so.

Indians can simply take a shower before leaving the house rather than come to a park and and force everyone there to smell them.
(I've experienced this notably 6 different times so far where an Indian couple bring their child to the park, where I am with my children) and I have to leave because they all smell so bad. I'm not exaggerating. And I've married an Indian from Mumbai and have personally been to Indian 10 times.

I am Asian, moved to Canada 20 years ago and assimilated well. I kept my culture at home, but when I am in a public place, I assimilate like a Canadian born! Never had any problems with racism and abused from others! Most Indian people come to Canada with their family and think they are still living in India only in a better living condition! I have spent all my life with Punjabi friends and not even once I felt that we are from different community. There are so many stores near my location owned by Punjabis, but no matter how many times I apply, they won’t hire me. However, they keep hiring new people and all of them are Punjabis. When I tell these things to my Punjabi friend in India, they feel deeply regretful and helpless.

Canada did not tell international students/parents to spend & risk their life savings on a "Canadian dream". Canada did not tell international students to borrow money. Canada did not promise international students work or $ or PR. I repeat, Canada did not tell them to spend life savings, borrow money, nor promise work and $ and PR.
Meanwhile freelance agents have been operating in an unbridled market in India. Often by painting a distorted picture of what students can achieve in/from Canada. In recent years, a new type of recruitment has cropped up via foreign nationals as many "edu-tech" have created online platforms to connect millions of potential students with the recruiters. The sub-agents have absolutely no no direct connection with the Canadian college. Plus the college has no no ability to control their conduct.
Indian sham operations abused Indian students in person &/or via massive advertising. Painting a false picture in their minds (of what Canada could or would offer).
And even though Canada is being falsely and unfairly blamed for most of the fallout ... mostly by students from India (including in very public ways on YT etc) ... Canada has yet to deport students like crazy. Instead Canada is trying trying to find balance of who can stay vs go. As it is also trying to fix anything Canada did wrong. Create a better future. Why? Because Canadians actually care about doing so for both Canadians and international students.
Fyi: Canada's youth are also victims of the above mentioned scam artists now too. Due to lack of homes and entry jobs due to international students fighting fighting for PR etc. versus returning home. Including some students asking for asylum from Canada. Do Indians care about this? Or do they want to primarily blame Canada (when many things weren't in Canada's control)?

Statistics have proven all over the world that the Indian community has been one of the most hard working and successful migrant communities.

I am a Canadian from Pakistan living in Canada for past 23 years. No offence to Indian people but the way they have hatred towards Pakistani is insane. Pakistan is not allowed to play in ICL,Pakistnis are denied visit to India and so on. Indian government makes sure that Pakistan remains unstable. Pakistanis to blame too for their current situation. I came to Canada through proper immigration. Have been working full time for 20 years now but when I tried for my mother’s immigration after my father’s death as she was all alone in Pakistan and need care, I was told that she can live with her nephews or nieces. My tax cut from my salary is being used to help refugees, illegal immigrants. This is not fair. I must say that people from our region have vastly no manners and they break rules too. The province I live in ,I have seen increase in crime rates, gang wars between certain drug groups of Indian background so it is justified if Canadians are raising voice. Last year one of the gang leader was shot along with his 11 year old kid by another gang group. It made me and people around me, cry for several days as that child was supposed to live. Also if Indian/pakistanis/bangali students are coming here and spending money, it is their choice and not canadain government’s fault. If they are asked to go back they should not protest as Canadian govt didn’t promise them immigration. They should go back and reapply through proper immigration. I have heard news that even 40/50 years old are coming through student visa!!lastly we are all humans in first place before religion/language/ color/ country, we should love each other and all creation of God.
