I DO NOT work for this company and am NOT being paid by them for this video - I just love to explore and check stuff out - saw them on the side of the road and did a video - Thanks -
Per Company Rep:
These houses are generally 14'8" x 52' - Mini Houses -
Stay tuned for More Vids on Tiny Houses as well -
General pricing is from $130K - $170K - Size, Amenities and other variables vary pricing -
This Location is called West Wood Builders - Near Due West, South Carolina -
These houses were all Custom Made to order by the clients - Purchasers can design their own houses -
Check them out at WESTWOODCABINS.COM -
I'm thinking very much about getting one of these and I think the best time to go look at one is when it's raining or just after it's raining therefore you can find out if there's any leaks or wet spots... thanks for the video and the info .. blessings on your day..
Good Idea - looks like the outdoor plug may have gotten wet - goo to check on that stuff!
I've seen barns at Home Depot with a loft that you can easily stand up in that works well as a bedroom. Many sizes starting about $10k. Commode and shower under the stairs. Open kitchen and living. Add insulation, plumbing, and electric. Perfect for 1 person. Won't cost anywhere near $200k
Yeah - you can get creative in some of those -
Ya, I remember a barn style shed my dad built in the 70s. It was 8x8. If I made it a 12x15 with a porch and a loft it would make a great tiny for 1 or 2 people.
Love the last one with that long closet area! Pretty innovative!!
The clothes would stick way out though and it wouldn’t be easy to walk through.
Yeah - That was unique -
@@poisonlady1965 not necessarily, plus that's not an area that'll receive high traffic. They'll just need that area once or twice a day to quickly grab an outfit or shoes. It's not as if they'll be entertaining guests in that particular area.
These homes look very well consruc-
Ted and have interesting interiors!
Well done guys!❤
We will be showing more soon -
Queen 👑 bed is good for 2 people
My husband does not like our Queen sized bed. He doesn't want anyone against him or touching him while he's sleeping. We probably really need a king sized bed but our bed frame won't accommodate it and our bedroom is too small.
@EarlMcCrory absolutely, the guy is in the wrong home to buy to say it won't hold a king size bed.
@@christinestephenson1742 go buy a bigger home for more money to fit that bed. Higher mortgage payments. Tiny is not your MO
@shirleywhite708 perfect for 2 and a small one for family
@christinestephenson1742 sorry to hear that not sleeping close or touch each other.
I like this it's really different
I love the 2nd one that you showed..😍
Wow that first cabin you showed is absolutely perfect, well thought out!
That is the one we liked as well -
This has plenty of room. Can have less clothes and also plenty of closets to buy.
IKEA the small house friend.
Bathroom is big. Very open Floor plan..does not feel small at all.
I like these and have been checking out all kinds for past decade.
Well done,
Yeah - I like that they custom make them - So you can design with furniture in mind!
Closets! They actually have closets! I love it! Most tiny houses do not know what a closet is. I personally like to hang my clothes.
Yes - I like closets over Armoires -
That tub is amazing!! ❤
Is a cool design!
When you go tiny, king size beds are a luxury and are totally unnecessary. The idea of these is to cut cost and live without overhead debt that chokes you financially.
True, but some people are larger and need to share a king bed- but if one needed more sleeping room, you could do two twin beds which would cost less...
@@trulymagyar7169if a couple is so big they need a king to share with then the bed size is the least of their concerns…
My bed has never choked me financially and I'd prefer a lage bed.
My husband and I built our tiny home, and we have a super king bed. Best de vision e er a d ni we are both below average height a d are a brave weight.
True but if you can have a king why not? Also you don't have to choose a king you could have a queen & then leave room for a small lounge area?
( Parents retreat - single lounge chairs & table )
Love that dark blue one. Tiny changes would be; one sink, (more countertop) walk-in tub, pantry and linen storage.
That would be nice -
Very nice👍🏾👍🏾
TY
Kind of like a free-standing apartment! :)
Yes - Mini House
Very nice housr
For me the first house,it's really good, and comfortable
We like that one as well!
I would buy 2 and put them together. When I become a millionaire.
I love all the homes. Lovely love they have a tub in the first home most of them just have showers. I have to have a shower and Tub. And a bath in half or two bathrooms.💙
Agree - Personally don't need a tub - but really cool to see one - All these houses were built to order -
Just found your channel. I liked these homes
Nice!
Very good presentation and craftsmanship
Yes - Well built with good materials -
Most of these tiny house companies I see are way overpricing these things. Greedy ambition is absolutely going rampant today instead of having integrity. You get less and pay more. You can order house plans online and have a home builder construct one for much cheaper. Probably 400 SF for 40,000-50,000k.
Yes you can - But the price of materials is through the roof - They could save on walls by doing Sheetrock but that pine is pricy - quality = $ -
We built our tiny house (we sold with our old property) for under $35K - Granite Counters / Marble Sink - 340sf out of a 45' shipping container - Video coming soon -
My favourite for practicality was the second one. But each have unique standout features which leaves one to choose depending on need, block size & shape.
( The last with the loft would really appeal to retirees as its got the huge closet room, along with loft for grand children, comfortable kitchen & lets not forget the MASTER BATHROOM! The half bath for guests is an added bonus! )
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Yes - True - Each has their own +/-
I like number two house the best
I think they are all nice, I’ve seen some gorgeous ones, that people live in, they are so neat, room for everything, the yards are really nice too. When you’re retired, don’t need all your stuff any more they are perfect, for that person. I would never pay a lot of money, for one. Of course I like lots of room. I don’t think I could ever live in a real tiny house with a family coming up., be real nice for a vacation place. Really like those kitchens and I like the water heater idea, sometimes it takes so long waiting for the shower to get warmed up. I’m sure when you find the one you want, you’ll love it. 👍👍👍♥️
Well put!
150,000 Nuts to that. And another 40 to 60,000 for the land, and probably 5,000 for all your utility hookups. These are not affordable homes. And what do they qualify as a lot of places. And you got to come up with a foundation. If you find a lot to rent that's going to be $1,000 a month.
Yeah - price is high but quality is good - Too much for my budget - but some people can afford and want limited space I guess - These are definitely made for permanent foundations on owned land - acting as a Mini Mobile Home -
Heck in sum states you can buy a brand new 2 or 3 bedroom mobile home or even a small house.. sheesh entirely too high for basically a storage building. Ot is what it is! 🤷♀️
I love it, but I'd get rid of the tub, unless I had kids, which most don't.
Agree!
I love the door on the bathroom for a pool home! We used to have pool parties every summer and everyone had to go through our bedroom slider to get to the bathroom. With the colors of the cabinets it says beach house!
Yeah - That is a great idea - if you have the $ and room by the pool - would make a great Air BNB as well -
Windows on back to do what let the cold air in in the winter. less windows warmer in winter cooler in summer
To each their own - We love lots of windows for view -
Love the pocket doors! Love the larger shower. How much do they cost?
Depends on design but they told us around 150K
18:00, backdoor + shower+ recessed area with high shelf= probable mudroom possibilities for people with farming,
hunting, kids, &/or animal care needs
Yeah - make the back door the main door - great idea -
Nice Ty
I enjoyed seeing this but I wonder by the time you put in a foundation and hook ups are you talking about $200,000?
Yeah - basically you are at about the price range -
I like the one w the hiding/separate toilette and small guest bath the best…. I would put decks :)
Do you set these on slabs? Blocks? Wonder how they are tied down. I'm not used to seeing much of these on skids, but I like them. I like the size of the first one you showed.
Hey Ya - Yes - These are meant to go on slabs or jacks with permanent foundations - They would act like a Mobil Home - Tie down depends on state - Here in SC you only need straps but in California you would have Earthquake Bracing -
That last one with the door from the bathroom would be perfect for a small homesteader. I dream of having a mudroom with a shower. That's the entrance to bring a muddy dog straight to the shower, your muddy shoes from the garden. A quick access to the toilet while working outside instead of walking through the house. A place to peal off my snow overalls and hang in the shower. Bring in injured or sick chickens to doctor up. And so much more. I would put a small narrow bench in that long closet on the end closest to the bathroom to sit and take off your shoes. So many uses. I see it as a bathroom slash mud room that would be easy to clean up. Too bad I can't afford that price.
Agree - Like those ideas!
I need one 😊
They remind me of the cute shotgun houses of yesteryear ❤
Yes - Really does -
What carrier insures these Tiny home? Aren't they considered Travel Trailers/Park Models?
No- they will act as a Mobil Home would - they would be placed on a foundation and could be tied down or earthquake bracing - They would insure like a Mobile -
WOW! 150k! I live in east Texas, here you can build that yourself for 20 to 25k! I’m floored! It amazes me, and not in a good way, how expensive things are in some places. If I built that, I would feel bad charging 40k for that! Wow!
Nice but 150k can get you a very nice single wide or a decent double wide....
True - And the quality of build is getting better all the time -
I like first one best.
What are the prices? What is the name of the company? Where are they located? I have giant pine logs I’d love to mill into the tongue and groove
All info is in the video and below it in the description area - Thanks -
One day il have one on some land. As a 6’5 big man im going to have to design it very well though.
Yes - maybe higher doors as well -
@ Iv toured some tiny homes. Unfortunately I think all my needs and wants might have to upgrade me from “tiny home” to “small house” 800-1000sqft
Have you seen Krupf or Elevation park model homes?
Yes - They are nice - Really love what all these companies are doing!
Beautiful, but that closet wouldn't accommodate my diva lifestyle. I'm obsessed with tiny homes! How much?
HA - unless you had that long closet - These range from $120K - $170K - A bit high but the quality is really good!
I am old and fat love my king size..life is good
HA
I could definitely live in these. But to me they r just small houses not tiny houses.
Feel the same - More Mini Houses -
Flooding on the ground was my concern build higher on higher ground
True!
This video would have been so much more helpful if you asked the name of the business and where it was located and left a link to learn more. Also it would of been great to see videos of all the tiny houses and shed.
Hey ya - Name of Business and Website was mentioned at the 14m15s mark - It is Westwood Builders - Westwood Cabins . Com - we are in SC - This location was outside of the town of Due West, SC -
Check back for more vids coming up on the smaller homes and some of the sheds as well - Hope that helps -
How do you get one? Do they offer rent to own
Contact them at Westwoodcabins.com
If you put 3 of these together you would have some decent square footage.
HA - yeah - would be a full house -
How well do tiny houses do in storms with strong winds?
These models would do good - Very well built - They are meant to be placed on a foundation and tie downs -
No, just your washer dryer room in your bedroom make a little bit bigger a closet
What was the name of the builder and what state are they in?
Hey ya - I mention it at 14:15 - But will put it in the body - It is Westwood Builders - Westwood Cabins -
Westwoodcabins . Com - Out of South Carolina - Hope that helps - (They are kind of pricey in my opinion - I know there are some builders in PA that are more reasonably priced - Although with the price of supplies right now they may have higher price points as well) -
Weird place to have a bathroom in the kitchen area in first tiny! I don’t like that! They are nice though!
2:19 that outlet looks wet inside the glass
how much do these houses run?
These range from $120K - $170K or so from what I was told -- A bit high but the quality is really good!
I like the 3rd house the best but I don't like pocket doors and I don't like barn doors. We use to own a 1940s brick home that had pocket doors and the metal wheel on the metal rail drove me nuts. Barn doors looks like a home for horses not humans
I don't care what size bed anyone wants. It's their decision. Not mine.
True - Reference was for gauging size of room -
Where is that place located?
Isn't the idea of putting it on a foundation or slab for it to be considered as real property, pay taxes, raise the property's value? Otherwise it's on wheels putting it in the RV category. Try getting insurance, hookups, everywhere has codes to be followed. A glass door on a 1st floor bedroom, not very safe, yes an office, second way out per building codes.
Yes - you are correct from what I understand - Kind of pricey but the quality is really good -
In most states a tiny home is considered under 600 sq feet. These are not tiny homes.
I'm still laughing at the high prices they want for those things... I've seen much better at half the price!!
Where
What state are these in and the name of the company
South Carolina - WestWoodCabins.com - Name and info is in the video and in the description under the title of the video - Thanks -
Agreed...150,000 is way over priced. These are nice but they are being greedy. From what I see $60,000-$100,000 is what they are worth based on what the market can provide now.
Id split 4 feet off the bathroom and make a half bathroom imo is a great luxury to have extra toilet.
It's called soft close and.that's called a water closet
Soft Close - Cool - Thanks -
I'm gonna call trailers cabins for now on 😅
HA
This all you need know big house just a little house more money save money for a little house
What size is this?
They are approximately 700 - 800 sf
I would have to build on just to have some kind of storage and already at that price that would be expensive
Why do people need king beds? We are not giants. It's silly to be interested in a tiny home but insist on a king bed.
Comment was made for reference to the size of the room - to each their own -
Some people like to move around when they doink in bed
What’s the name and place of the this video
Westwoodcabins.com
What were the dimensions of the 1st one.
14'8" x 52' - Approx. - They custom build and design -
Tell the square footage please on each
Where sre these located?
South Carolina - In Description and video -
These are, in no way whatsoever, tiny houses.
Yeah, not sure the sq footage of these, but I think legally to be tiny you have to be under 500 sq feet..
I love the look except I’m the weird one who doesn’t like all the wood. I prefer walls I can hang decor on. The 52 x 14 are too large to be considered tiny homes though…just small houses. If never pay $152k though. I love the concept though but these would last in major storms though. I’d want one on a trailer. That would eliminate the desire for them in areas where major storms are prevalent. These homes are not intended to be master sized so trying to say that a kingsize is needed. The intention is to go small so they’re not for everybody.
Never been a big fan of all the wood either - Also with drywall you can patch holes once you hang and remove art - Price is high but quality is really good - These are a total different concept than Tiny Houses built on Trailers - These act as small Mobile Homes - better quality - Also - Mentioned the King Size Bed for room size reference - not for suggestion - Hope that helps -
That's crazy to much
So these are half size modular homes, not tiny homes, but really nice, though I'm saying that because of the price point
True - I guess they are Mini-Homes - Tiny for most people all the same -
That bathroom is way too big....no tub needed, just make the shower bigger with seating option. Move the washer and dryer over and make the master closet bigger.
Agree - For my needs I would do that as well -
Nice designs but cost not so good.
What I'm trying to understand is this, why spell 110 120,000, when you can get you a brand new trailer for 70 or 80, I use the rest of the money to get your assumption tank a whale, and probably a acre of land. 🤔🤔
Make sure the Tws approves, seasr and need fresh water, well25000, sewer turkey mound 12000 then land 15000 and installed on foundation another 5000 to 10 thousand.
The state of Indiana doesn't allow tiny homes and shipping Containers for tiny homes
120 to 170 k is insane
They are a bit high but quality work costs - Custom Design is not cheap -
To me, these are not tiny homes they are actually mobile homes trailers for the length of what they are.
You're right - they are more Mini Homes - We have a few videos of true Tiny Houses coming out soon -
Love it❤
I could get a 5bed 4 bath doublewide delivered and setup for 160.
So trailors are called tiny houses now??
150!? They're nice, but not that nice
What the price on these
He said it a few times during the video. 150,000
between 120K - and $170K - depending on size and so on -
that price is crazy
I agree but the quality is really top notch and they are all custom built to order - so you pay for that - To much for us but we really like them -
The 200k poor person setup. It's a step up from homeless
Buy a tiny home with a huge price or a bigger house for around the same price. I'll take the bigger house. People and their love for ripping people off is getting out of control
My God, what has happened to our world that a tiny home is $150k?? So much for getting off grid & escaping the matrix anytime soon. 🙄
I watch houses for sale vids a lot for fun - You can still by Dated houses on 20+ acres for about 100K or less in some places - so there is hope - Check out the Virginias / Arkansas / Alabama / Kentucky - Out in the sticks -
$150,000.00 is way too much money for a 14'x53' manufactured home. None of these homes should exceed $90,000.00, even less. Another drawback that decreases the price is the cheap Samsung portable, single room air conditioner in the various rooms that attaches to the back of the house. Not true central HVAC system built in.
Most areas I'd like to have one don't allow them so....
52x14 is 728 square feet, at 150,000 is almost $207.00 a square foot?! not a tiny house, a small or modest house. Apts where I live are 760 square feet 1bed-1 and a half bath, 2-bed/2 bath, 900 square feet. Depending on the size of the property, it might be worth spending time and money with an architect to plan the living space. Can these have central air/heat?
Agreed - They are really Mini-Houses - But some still consider them Tiny - and yeah - price is high but quality is good! - I would think you could have Central Air put in on site if you designed it that way - These are designed to move as is with limited setup and cost at location - They design each one for the buyer -
Don’t show this one! I thought you were going to show “ farmhouse look”! Very confusing.
Wanted to show other ones but for this video we went into the larger ones - More vids coming soon - Please check back -
Way too expensive for what's included, IMO.
