Welcome back to Naval Gazing at Camp David, the channel where men who want to do a post retirement circumnavigation try to convince their beautiful, but sceptical, wives that this is a fantastic idea.
This week’s guest yacht is a mark that has established itself as the go-to performance cruiser for mid-sized liveaboard adventure.

Today we are going to
1. Review its specifications, pricing and layout against three similar new vessels (not the most expensive)
2. Do a full tour asking, “What would Sylvia say?”
3. Naval Gaze at an innovation and/or adjustment that might make life aboard easier (accommodation and shore hookup innovation)
4. Have a look at the used market for 3-5 year old comparables
5. And finally give it a “Dave Score” and compare the result with all our previously reviewed yachts. (You may be surprised )
As always, we have a wine pairing with our yacht of choice and this week we head up the Mediterranean coast of France from the Catana ship yards to the home of both Outremer and it’s exotic big brother, Gun Boat in La Grande-Motte. Chateau Paul Mas Clos Des Mures 2019 Languedoc.
